Sarah Kendzior, a US scholar and writer who has studied autocracy in Uzbekistan, says the US is headed in the same direction for the same reason: its leader is backed by Russian President Putin and the mafia state that arose in Russia after the fall of communism. If President Trump steals the US election in 2020 (a month from today) it will get even worse.
Her predictions for the US for 2021 to 2025 (the words in quotes are hers from an interview she gave in September 2020, the bolding and bulleting are mine):
Domestic policy:
- Constitutional rights: “Domestically, we will lose many of our constitutional rights, especially since Trump will have the Supreme Court backing him.”
- Protest: “Protest will increasingly be criminalized”;
- Freedom of speech: “we will likely lose our freedom of speech and media to some degree. I don’t think this will be done in a straightforward way, like a repeal of the First Amendment, but through excessive litigation and increasing government control over social media monopolies.”
- Racism: “We will continue to see racist and xenophobic policies and extreme abuse of migrants.”
- The economy: “The economy will continue to deteriorate, and Trump and his lackeys will see this as an opportunity to strip the country for parts, buy up public lands and landmarks, and privatize and destroy them”.
- Public education: “I’m also worried about public education, which they have long sought to destroy, and which is already suffering during the Covid-19 crisis. The Trump crime cult will see this as an opportunity to finish public education off.”
- Climate change: “They also will do nothing to the climate crisis. They believe in climate change, but they are accelerationists – they see a depopulated earth as easier to control.”
- Etc: “Those are just some of the nightmares we will face on a domestic level.”
Foreign policy:
- Israel: “I’m concerned that term two of Trump will involve his cohort fulfilling long-held violent ambitions abroad. I’m particularly worried about the potential genocide of Palestinians and the deals that [Prime Minister] Netanyahu’s Israel is making with autocratic Gulf states. [Trump’s son-in-law Jared] Kushner is a lifelong friend of Netanyahu, subservient to him; the U.S. will aid him in these endeavors, no matter how corrupt.”
- Saudi Arabia: “Kushner also is close to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also incredibly dangerous, and his relationships should be monitored closely.”
- Iran: “I am worried that the U.S. will go to war with Iran, which is a long-held goal of many Trump advisors both in the U.S. and abroad.”
- Europe: “Meanwhile, Putin has his own imperialist ambitions, which is one of the main reasons he wanted Trump in office. He wanted to ease sanctions and destroy the Western alliance that stood as a bulwark against him doing things like invading Ukraine and other former Soviet states. That Western alliance is much weaker now, and Trump is his willing accomplice along with other dictators and mafiosos, so we should expect more invasions from Russia.”

This is ridiculous and projection once again.
The Russia hoax and Ukraine hoax were attempts to smear the President with no back up evidence. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden got millions from Ukraine and China–Why would an unemployed cocaine addict with no relevant experience happen to get these plum jobs right after his dad become vice president? You guys know the answer, but you don’t even care.
Which rights has Trump shut down in his first term? He didn’t do any of this. However, a Biden/Harris win means first and second amendments come under assault. Anything that could be “hate speech” gets censored. You think it’s great now, but when conservatives get in charge again and implement that standard you will not like it at all.. The second amendment was created largely to help protect the gov’t from a tyrannical government. That’s going to get scaled back so the government cannot be opposed.
Protests will only be allowed if the government supports their ends–no protests against the lockdown will be permitted, while rioting and looting by Antifa and BLM are fine. Health and safety concerns re: coronavirus can be selectively enforced.
The racial tensions enflamed during Obama’s watch will get worse with no opposition to rioters coming from the federal government. That will make people on both sides more “racist”.
China with 4X the population as the US, India, etc. do much more to hurt the environment than the US, and the US under Biden won’t hold them to account at all… because they don’t really care about climate change–they care about power.
The economy will crash with the new taxes the Dems will impose to pay for all their plans and the continued shutdowns. The globalists/superwealthy still support the Dems and will be able to milk what’s left of the middle class for a few more years before everything collapses.
Public eduction will become more and more leftist indoctrination and more people will opt out, as they have when they have to home school their kids anyway because of politically inspired lockdowns–young kids don’t easily get or spread the coronavirus and it’s not dangerous to them at all.
Abagond, this piece of yours is pure projection.
Such an interesting coincidence that all these top Trump people are getting coronavirus at exactly the same time. Quite an October surprise. The Deep State failed with Hillary, but they won’t let it happen again.
Many Dem leaders are promising to pack the Supreme Court, grant statehood to DC and Puerto Rico and get rid of the filibuster when they get in charge.. if you guys cared at all about totalitarianism, you would say no way they get my vote, but you don’t care as long as you get some immediate political gain, even if it means we will never have a free country again and likely leads to the break-up of the US and very possibly the death and/or impoverishment of your kids and grandkids.

If this was intentional, there’s no way they would have overlooked Mitch McConnell or Mike Pence.
Face it, Trump and his people brought this on themselves by their refusal to take proper precautions.
Look at the way he dressed, going bare in public. Look at how he behaved. He was just asking for it!

First it was a Fauci-led deep state plot to require measures to contain a virus which causes an illness no worse than a mild flu. Now that Trump got it and had to be hospitalized that’s a deep state plot to harm him with a deadly virus. So the virus is a real threat or not depending on which conspiracy theory they want to peddle? It’s so incredibly stupid and dishonest.

You guys over here are paying too much attention to that individual who even doesn’t know how to think properly without contradictions. Now you see it!
I’ve shown the same incapability of him for clear consistent thoughts on another thread when I was trying to analyze his basic postulates regarding IQ and the working of society. Circular thought. Glaring inconsistencies.

If somebody has even entertained the idea that the guy could possibly be an academic who felt not to be free in his working environment to express his true beliefs, and came here to open himself, then it’s become clear that that is an impossibility. An academic would at least tried to organize his/her ideas in a orderly fashion. This guy is incapable of that. To me, he resembles some people I know personally and who are deeply superstitious They can tell to you with a straight face that a death inside a certain family was the result of witchcraft made by a second individual from another rival family. But a few days later they tell you that the second individual is not actually alive, and passed away a year before! And you can’t argue that the whole doesn’t make sense! Because he knows the “facts”! And you are only an unbeliever! Blah, blah, blah..
Or maybe he thinks that we are too stupid to see those obvious contradictions that are always popping up from his comments!

We shall see. Time will tell. Part of why I posted this was to be able to reread it in a few years if Trump is still in power. Of course, if WordPress takes it down, or takes this blog down, it will only prove Kendzior’s point.
If you think that is far-fetched, consider that Trump is already threatening to cut off federal aid to schools that teach the 1619 Project. From what I understand, the 1619 Project is only an ideological stone’s throw from this blog.
I can definitely see this blog being taken down in a few years for being “hate speech”, especially since many if not most White people do not see any difference between being anti-racist and being anti-White (which itself is telling).

Really? And you guys think I’m a conspiracy theorist for noting the lucky coincidence that Trump and other in his circle, along with 3 Republican Senators get the virus right before the election and right before Supreme Court confirmation hearings? If you ask whether some people would try to give him the virus if they could (and likely believed it was justified because they blame him) the answer of course is yes. As to whether they had an opportunity, it’s at least possible.
538 now says Biden has more than an 80% chance of winning the election. Even if Trump somehow pulls it out again, the most likely scenario is the House still belongs to the Dems with a very narrow Senate majority, such that the Repubs can’t accomplish much in practice (similar to the last couple years) other than pass stimulus bills to keep the economy running.
Meanwhile, powerful Dems are literally promising Supreme Court packing, statehood for DC and PR and the end of Filibuster to end any semblance of balance of power going forward..
Your fear of your blog getting taken down seems much more crazy to me. Anyway, as you said we will see. However, thus far, almost 100% of the online censorship has been against the right and not the left. Chateau Heartiste was canned from WordPress without any warning a couple years ago.
In theory, anti-racist and anti-White should be different, but in practice they are the same. Non-Jewish Whites are the only group not allowed to organize and publicly advance their community interests. Why are gentile White countries the only ones that are doomed to have the native populations become minorities? It doesn’t happen in Africa, in Asia, in Latin America or the Middle East (including Israel)? Most race conscious Whites have no interest at all in going back to slavery or what is commonly understood as “White supremacy”. They just want to live in communities that bear some small resemblance to those that their ancestors have lived in for thousands of years. By and large, they don’t mind minorities, as long as their civilization can be maintained. They just don’t want to become minorities themselves in their own homelands. If you asked the US population in 1965 (when the immigration doors were flung open by self-serving politicians) whether they would have wanted Whites to become a minority in the country 100 years later and something like 20% of the population in 150 years, how many would have agreed to that? Almost no one… and yet here we are.

Superstitions… superstitions… blaming others for your own doings.
And what are all the organizations existing in all Western countries (political, professional, civic, religious, etc)? Colored organisations?
If you ask me, I don’t believe it will happen. Certainly not in our lifetime.
What I see is that most White individuals are going in life minding their personal businesses and not afraid of those “colored” types around them. Probably they see them as harmless. Only a few are somewhat paranoid about that.
The most likely trajectory, if their societies become more colorful in the next decades, is that they will react instinctively trying to protect the maintenance of a White majority. This will not happen suddenly but step by step.
What is afflicting the demographic profile of White populations – and not only them – is that urbanized strata tend to have less children and, in the limit, begin to shrink. This a worldwide phenomenon. Go to Africa and you will see that the average number of children in urban families is lower than rural ones.
Nobody is forcing White populations to shrink, but the logic of economy demands that as they shrink, a space is open to be filled by migrants. So, either they accept that the national economy shrinks or they must try something to boost the birthrate again. For example, a government can give a subsidy to women (or families) in case they decided to have more children. Why not? If pursued consistently for a while this could boost the birthrate. If those governments don’t do something like this probably is because they want more material wealth and not more human beings around. Just maybe. But please don’t blame the “foreigners” or the “colored”. They haven’t the power to influence those social processes.
How many thousands of years? New scientific data points to the fact that “darkies” were roaming around in places in Eurasia. See, https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3028813/Europeans-dark-skinned-8-000-years-ago-Pale-complexions-brought-Europe-Near-East-study-claims.html

In a stark contrast with the behavior of today’s American ruling politicians, in Europe they make everything possible to “respect” the novel coronavirus and follow the rules applicable to its contention.
In a high level meeting where the President of Portugal (Marcelo Rebello de Sousa) as well as the President of the European Commission (Ursula von der Leyen) were both present, everybody wore a mask. Later, days after the meeting, it was discovered that one the participants was a novel coronavirus carrier. When notified, all other participants, already back to their usual businesses and places, proceeded then to:
self-isolate immediately
got a test as soon as possible
Surprise, surprise: nobody else was positive!
The meeting didn’t create a single new infection!
When serious people are in charge…
…coronavirus looses!

Anyway, people obtained lands through conquest many many times over history, as White Americans did. I’d venture to say it happened more than a few times for the Africans who currently inhabit their so-called “homelands”. Yet, no one seems to want to give back land to the Khoisan or Pygmies strangely. Anyway, conquest happens a lot, but find me another example of a dominant people in history simply giving up and letting themselves get replaced without any fight. Even the Indians fought back.

All the more reason you should go back and add to their numbers, it would seem. But when you claim that “gentile White countries” are “the only ones that are doomed to have the native populations become minorities” and then try to include the USA in that, you are creating a falsehood. The native population in the USA is already a minority, because of whites.

“so change ‘native’ to ‘majority’ in that case.”
And you say I’m the one being weasely with words.
“Native” was your word and your argument. Now you’re introducing a change in wording because you don’t want to leave the place you’re living in and return to your ancestral homeland — even though that’s exactly what you believe non-whites living in Europe should do.
You also said: “They just want to live in communities that bear some small resemblance to those that their ancestors have lived in for thousands of years.” Well, then you need to go back to Europe because your ancestors weren’t here thousands of years ago.
“Crickets as to stated Dem plans to pack the Supreme Court”
I already responded to that, and you never answered.
“and add DC and PR as states”
Look, just like many others here, I get tired of how you constantly try to derail threads. You don’t stay on topic, you throw in everything including the kitchen sink, and you bring up the same issues over and over and over again. “Crickets” in your case means people are tired of your antics rather than unable to present a counter argument. It’s called not feeding the troll.
Since when has adding states to the Union been a bad thing that results in the dissolution of the nation? You could feasibly point to the Missouri Compromise, but the Union survived even that. Where in the Constitution does it say that no more states can be admitted after a certain number or year?

abagond, I’m looking forward to your post on the newly released Biden e-mails.
It’s now clear that Hunter was paid by foreign agents in fake foreign jobs as a front so the foreign agents could gain access to the V.P.
Joe had denied it, and claimed he never even spoke to Hunter about his foreign jobs or had such meetings. Even though Joe admitted to protecting Hunter from Ukrainian prosecution by forcing Ukrainians to fire the prosecutor going after Hunter.
According to these emails, Joe’s denials were lies; Hunter was actively coordinating meetings between his father and his Ukranian agents.
Texts indicate that Hunter and others had to pay Joe 50% of what they received from their corruption.
Also, looking forward to your discussion of why it was totally appropriate for the MSM to bury the story (really multiple stories as the new e-mails relating to Biden China corruption are out as well), not ask a single question about the breaking scandals in Joe’s townhall and for Twitter and Facebook to completely censor any mention of the story (while it was fine to share Trump’s hacked tax returns and related pieces trashing Trump).

Biden’s lawyer tried to get back the laptop which belonged to “his client”. No one has really disputed that the e-mails and texts are real. Some in Biden’s camp are saying maybe the meeting with Joe Biden and Burisma was “informal” (a month before Biden went to Ukraine to get the prosecutor investigating Burisma fired–otherwise he’d withhold $1B in US aid). Ridiculous. The USSR broke up because people like Putin felt that other nationalities were a drain on Russia, the way Trump and his buddies feel that Haiti and other nations that constitute the US empire are a drain on the vital energy of the US. Putin is more interested in keeping Russia from falling apart than expanding it. My opinion of course.

So gro jo, no attempt to prove the Biden e-mails are fake (Joe has never even said they are not real e-mails from Hunter, though his team is trying to say they must have been somehow associated with Russia to avoid addressing whether the e-mails are real).
I get it, you guys don’t even care if Biden and his son were colluding and selling out the US to get money from other countries, especially China.
Re: your “massive body count” comment, I think the State governors/officials are more to blame for their responses–a huge percentage of the casualties happened in nursing homes. Trump gave the governors all the support they had asked for and more. I don’t think Biden would have been any better–he certainly wouldn’t have cut off flights to China until he absolutely had to (China has him by the balls). 100K could die of the flu in a year during Obama/Biden and it would have been a curiosity. 200K die from Covid and everything has to come to a screeching halt, no matter how many people die from not seeing their doctor or kill themselves or get hooked on drugs because of the lockdown..
The establishment, both right and left, hates Trump. Big business, Wall Street and the billionaire class are all against him, to say nothing of the media. If Trump can continue to fight them (which he will), showing them that the American people don’t support them and their destruction of the middle class and more foreign wars (which Trump has kept us out of, despite all the dire predictions) and can get the economy going again (Biden will continue to lockdowns and raise taxes, which is gonna blow things up) I’d be content.
Anyway, I’m still waiting to hear anyone try to make the argument (that the Bidens and Biden campaign hasn’t even made) that the e-mails are fake. If the e-mails aren’t fake, then they clearly show Joe complicit in his son’s efforts to sell influence to foreign countries at the expense of the American people.

So, even you don’t believe in Breitbart News, good to know.

“If Trump can continue to fight them (which he will), showing them that the American people don’t support them and their destruction of the middle class and more foreign wars (which Trump has kept us out of, despite all the dire predictions) and can get the economy going again (Biden will continue to lockdowns and raise taxes, which is gonna blow things up) I’d be content.”
Trump is getting Taiwan all worked up by making them think the USA will go to war with the PRC to keep them independent, If you are to be believed, he will double cross them after selling them all the weaponry they can pay for, is that right? How does he plan to keep Syria’s oil, and disarm Iran without going to war? Abagond doesn’t want to answer my questions about Trump and Putin, mabe you can explain why Trump wants to ditch New START?

Trump’s voters overwhelmingly supported getting Barrett on the court. For many who disliked Trump’s style personally, this was the reason they voted for him. Trump absolutely wanted to do a deal on stimulus. See Pelosi’s interview with Wolf Blitzer and you can see she REALLY didn’t want to do a deal and give Trump anything before the election.
Fair re: sources generally (I mean I can understand where you’re coming from, though the NY Post is one of the largest and most respected conservative publications in the country), but you can read the e-mails themselves. If the e-mails are real, the media conduit shouldn’t matter. They came from Hunter Biden’s laptop. The leftwing MSM didn’t want to touch it obviously.
200,000 Americans is a big deal, but as I said, I don’t think Joe Biden would have done better and shutting down the economy may not have even saved lives vs. social distancing and protecting the old and vulnerable (which now seems like the best path forward).
Still no one disputing that these e-mails show Joe Biden was working with his son to sell out the US for millions of dollars to China and line their pockets, so Joe could live in incredible luxury (after supposedly just being a public servant) and Hunter could do drugs, abuse prostitutes and impregnate strippers.

“protecting the old and vulnerable (which now seems like the best path forward)”
Here is a question I’ve asked a number of conservatives, and so far no one will give me an answer. Perhaps you’d like to take a crack at it.
How do you propose we protect the vulnerable who are not elderly and who up until now have been living normal active lives? People in their 30s, 40s, or 50s, who have pre-existing comorbidities like asthma, hypertension, diabetes, lupus, etc. — conditions which can be managed medically and lived with for decades? Vulnerable people who are in the work force, many of whom are parents of minor children, some of whom are the sole support of their family?
How do we protect the vulnerable population in this age group, especially those individuals whose jobs require interaction with the public?

No one has lived an “active, normal life” with their community completely shut down. Rather than shut down the whole society by having everyone not work or working from home, those vulnerable folks would be the ones doing so till we have a cure or more effective treatment (and the treatments have gotten a lot better and will continue to advance). You say they need to support their family, well that argument applies much more when you shut down all of society! Government funds could be more effectively targeted to those folks who can’t work because they need to stay at home, rather than just handing cash out to everyone, including those who are working from home with no issue and no decrease in their pay (like most of the white collar elites who are supportive of the shutdowns).

“I get it, you guys don’t even care if Biden and his son were colluding and selling out the US to get money from other countries, especially China.”
A. You’re right… I don’t care because 45 does the same and more. Elect Biden and impeach him… fine with me… not a fan.
B. Can you help me understand what Biden did that “sold out the US”? I believe that the emails are genuine, regardless of how they came to light. I don’t know if any malicious actors leveraged US political positions to manipulate strategic people into exploiting synergies between US policy interests and their own personal gain. But, if I were a foreign government looking to exploit the very exploitable, it’s a plan I might have hatched especially if I assumed Biden would be running in the next election. Regardless, I’m not seeing where we got sold out. Did Joe Biden get personally involved in something that may otherwise have been handled differently because it also served his personal interests? Maybe (and given the lack of official comment.. probably) Did that alter anything geopolitically and more specifically did it harm US interests here or abroad i.e. we got sold out? I’m just not seeing it.
Look, I hate how federal politicians are able to leverage their positions to enrich themselves… starting entire wars for it sometimes….. So, I’m asking you how the United States was harmed since you’ve stated we were sold out.
I think the failure of this “October surprise” is because, despite the smoking gun, the bullet hit a target the US was aiming for anyway. It’s like Hillary’s emails vs the entire Trump administration’s emails. The same people chanting “lock her up” for using personal email are themselves using personal email servers all the time. No harm, nobody cares except the pundits.
I will add that muting microphones in the next debate is the best thing that could’ve happened to Trump. Biden will have nothing but dead air to fill with his “answers” to questions instead of being able to let Trump help him out with interruptions All of the non-answers I predict are coming will do more to negatively impact Biden, with people that might actually vote for him, than anything Trump could say.

OMO,
You sometimes ask honest questions, which is a rarity these days.
Previously, we knew Hunter made millions in the Ukraine and at least tens of millions in China (not sure how much Hunter’s company skimmed off a $1.5 “investment” for instance). Joe Biden said he knew nothing about it, which seemed suspicious, but there wasn’t much public evidence directly tying him to the schemes.
The e-mails recovered from Hunter’s laptop show Joe knew and was in on the rip off. He met with the Burisma official shortly before he got the prosecutor who was investigating them fired (he previously denied any such meetings). In China, the e-mails show an entity was set up to receive funds for multiple people, with Hunter getting 20% for himself and an additional 10% he was to hold for “the big guy”, which someone else on the e-mail has confirmed was Joe Biden.
Most shocking was a communication from Hunter to another family member saying “It’s really hard, but don’t worry, unlike pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary.” In their correspondence, “pop” referred to Hunter’s dad, Joe Biden. This indicates that, far from not knowing what was going on, Joe was “making” Hunter effectively give him half (or a significant portion) of his ill-gotten gains.
Why does this blatant corruption matter? For China, obviously they pretty much got a pass during the Obama/Biden years. The elites were happy to go along with it, as they made money and China made money at the expense of the American middle class. The Obama/Biden administration worried more about the ~10 unarmed blacks killed by cops every year in the US (usually due to extreme circumstances–e.g., someone running down a cop in a car could still be deemed “unarmed”) than the 10s of millions of people subject to human rights abuses (many placed in concentration camps) in China. In Ukraine, it was billions in US taxpayer aid being used to tacitly support corrupt organizations like Burisma, in exchange for kickbacks.
The Russia and Ukraine investigations against Trump turned up nothing substantive, and certainly no evidence of personal enrichment in exchange for influencing US policy, but they were covered endlessly by the MSM… but now the MSM is trying to totally bury these e-mails, which no one in the Biden campaign has even denied are authentic (because there’s too much proof that they are real–many of the photos recovered, for instance contain time and location stamps that could be easily verified).
And the PTB have turned off comments on almost all major cites (Yahoo was the one I noted, because the timing was so suspicious) in advance of the election, so no one can talk about these things outside of some “right-leaning” sites that most people would never visit.
We’re already living in a Soviet style system apparently… yet you think Biden (and his controllers, foreign and domestic) are the lesser of two evils… don’t say I didn’t warn you.

OK, but that’s just a lot of stuff they all do. So, to me, the “outrage” over Biden trying to skim and trying to hide it is simply cancelled out by the “outrage” over the God knows how many things the current administration has lied about and done to enrich themselves. I try to boil it down to the simple… in this case, it seems like the outcomes of Biden’s actions were consistent with US policy at the time and the skimming was coincidental. Lying about it is egregious and I’d bet this whole thing had some part in his decision not to run in 2016 (there were other factors at play of course but, I bet he had a hunch this would bubble up.) Like I said, I’m not a fan and I’m on board with electing him and impeaching him because it makes for great political theater and Sen. Harris would make a better president in my view anyway. She wasn’t my first pick either, but she was definitely ahead of Biden in my rankings.
However, Trump is completely inept and his administration is barley functional. Early on he campaigned on the idea that he understood he was a newbie and that he’d surround himself with the best people to create a functioning government. In my view, he may have tried a little of that in the beginning but, didn’t like when they laughed at him so, he surrounded himself with family, friends and like-minded idiots. Republicans in congress had a chance to either behave dismissively of him and govern in spite of him or sit idle and define their entire platform as simply “owning the libs”. They chose the latter and I suspect the party will pay for that. But, I digress… my point is only that I may actively dislike Biden… But, I do believe that Trump (and by proxy those in congress that towed his line) have caused harm to my country and will only get worse if re-elected. A Biden presidency may be a return to a status quo that wasn’t good but, it’s better than the chaos and ratings-driven nonsense that’s running the show right now.
I appreciate your reply, but there was nothing in there that described how our country was “sold out” or even harmed.

Biff,
I asked you why you think Trump if for peace in light of his attacks on the economy of Iran, his desire to rip up NEW START with the Russians, his continuation of Obama’s policy of encirclement of the PRC with the attempt to form an alliance with Japan, India and Australia known as the Quad, even going so far as to encourage Taiwan into thinking that the US might seriously consider intervening on their side. Why aren’t these actions that of a leader creating the conditions for a major war?
I see that you are still hung up on Biden, recall the Bush era, father and son. Didn’t Neil Bush take money from the Chinese? Didn’t your hero Trump and his kids take money from the Chinese? By the way, how much are you being paid to express ‘concern’ for practices as old as the Republic.

Wow, OMO. Now I doubt the honesty of your question.
China has 10x the population of Russia and an economy that is soon to be the world’s largest. They are our number one geo-political rival, and you see no issue with them controlling our future President and him being paid 10s of millions to subvert US citizens’ interests for China’s benefit (and them holding significant blackmail against him to keep him in check).
You don’t think the US has been harmed by one-sided trade deals that benefited China and encouraged businesses to ship jobs overseas.
You somehow imagine the same media and political class that has lied and covered up for Biden will dutifully impeach him. The ones who only chose anti-Trump moderators for the debates and who suddenly decided to take “foreign policy” off the debate itinerary after the Biden email scandal broke. Ha.
And if he steps away, and the Wallstreet/Silicone Valley darling Harris, who couldn’t even get into 4th place in any primaries and was like getting 2% of the African American vote, becomes the President, you just think that would be great. She’s at least as controlled as Biden and has zero principles.
You ever wonder why the Bushes (whom I presume you hate, as do I), Clintons and Obamas are such good friends? They’re all on the same team. Elites who are happy to screw the middle class. If they had a shred of integrity they would admit that Biden being on the take from the Chinese and Ukranians for years absolutely disqualifies him from being President… but they don’t.
Once you realize they can lie about the biggest political scandal in decades, you realize they can lie about anything. You believe everything you read about Trump in the MSM apparently and don’t even realize the manipulation. Well a lot of people are waking up.

“Rather than shut down the whole society by having everyone not work or working from home, those vulnerable folks would be the ones doing so …. Government funds could be more effectively targeted to those folks who can’t work because they need to stay at home”
The current estimate is that 41.4 million Americans between the ages of 18 and 64 have a comorbidity for covid-19 which put them at high risk.
How do you propose we go about identifying those individuals and approving them for government funding? Who decides which at-risk individuals qualify and which do not? What government bureau gets tasked with evaluating applications for relief? What forms of proof are required?
Do we make it a requirement that the employers rehire these at-risk individuals once the pandemic is over?
What about spouses who are themselves not at high-risk but who have viable concerns about catching covid-19 at their workplace and giving it to their high-risk spouse? Are these individuals also eligible to stay at home with government funding to protect the health of their spouse?
Also, how exactly do you propose to protect those elderly folks who do not live in group facilities of any sort? Especially those who live in homes with younger family members who go out to work with the public? When you say “protect the old,” what are the exact measures you believe should be put in place to do so?
“just handing cash out to everyone, including those who are working from home with no issue and no decrease in their pay (like most of the white collar elites who are supportive of the shutdowns).”
The stimulus had an income cut-off. Many of the white collar elite you’re talking about received zilch.

I had a giant response typed out with thoughts on several of your points. Then I realized that so many of the responses were reacting to opinions you’ve projected onto me and statements unrelated to Hunter Biden’s emails. Since you don’t think I’m being genuine, everything I typed was irrelevant. You seem to be using your responses to present semi-related counter-propaganda to lurkers instead of responding to me personally. No worries… you’re just doing what you’ve always claimed. It’s on me for being curious over the outrage and the idea that we, as a country, were sold out. The fact is, either I failed to connect the dots in your response or your response failed to answer my question.

Before answering, think of the 1876 compromise.
