Megan Fox (1986- ) is an American actress. She is best known for playing the female lead in “Transformers” (2007), a part she will play again in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, which comes out on June 24th 2009. She also played Sydney Shanowski on the television show “Hope & Faith” from 2004 to 2006.
Her hotness: If Google Images is anything to go by, she is one of the hottest girls on the planet right now in 2009 along with Vida Guerra, Tera Patrick and Beyonce. In 2008 she topped FHM Online’s list of the world’s sexiest women, pushing aside Jessica Alba. (Fox herself was pushed aside in 2009 by British singer Cheryl Cole.) Maxim had her at #16 in 2008.
Her beauty: She has black hair against white skin, blue eyes and high cheekbones. Her eyes are a light blue and sometimes they look washed out and strange, almost not human, but at other times it is like they go right through you like an electric current. She also does not seem like an airhead, like maybe she is capable of deep thought and feeling. I vastly prefer her to the yellow-haired brainless beauties that Hollywood keeps pushing at us.
She is 5 foot 6 (1.67 m) and 114 pounds (52 kg). Her measurements are 34C-26- 34 (86-66-86 cm), giving her a waist-to-hip ratio of 0.77. Very thin.
I would not go to see a film just because she is in it, but it would be in its favour: “Oh good, Megan Fox”. Meaning: if it turns out to be a bad film I can ride it out by just looking at her. She is a passable actress who makes up for it on looks. Like Jessica Alba.
What is not natural:
- The bridge of her nose was straightened out in 2007;
- Her breasts are much larger than they used to be;
- Her lips are fuller than they used to be.
Tattoos:
- right arm: Marilyn Monroe’s face
- upper thigh: pink flamingo
- back: “We will all laugh at gilded butterflies” (from Shakespeare, “King Lear”, v.iii)
- left side: “There once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her HEART”
She has at least five others.
Born in Tennessee, near Oak Ridge, she is a mix of American Indian (Cherokee), French and dark Irish. She said that growing up she was something of a tomboy and a dork: she loved comic books, video games and “Lord of the Rings”.
At age five she started taking acting and dancing lessons. When she was ten her family moved to St Petersburg, Florida. At 16 she got into modelling and won awards. From there she got into acting. The first film she appeared in was one by the Olsen twins, “Holiday in the Sun” (2001).
She has been going with Brian Austin Green since 2004. Green played David Silver on “Beverly Hills, 90210” in the 1990s. He is 13 years older than her. They hope to marry in 2010.
Fox is her family name, not just a stage name. Her grandfather wrote it as “Foxx”. No relation of Redd or Jamie (for whom Foxx is just a stage name).

I like the color combination (black hair, pale skin, bright blue eyes). Very striking; she’s pretty. With the dark hair she’d probably look at least attractive without makeup. It’s the blonds that look washed-out without makeup.
She is very thin, but not unnaturally so (like Keira Knightly or Victoria Beckham, who look like they starve themselves). She’s just a small woman, her bones don’t stick out, or anything.

Well if she calls herself or classes herself as white so what..? I haven’t found anything on Meagan Fox about her Native American relatives. (unlike Tommy Lee Jones or Burt Reynolds who each have a Native American grandparent..) I have a step mother who is part Chickasaw, considers herself white but will readily acknowledge her native heritage if it comes up but understands that she wasn’t raised as a white person and basically her phenotype is white. If someone’s parent or grandparent is something other than the dominant phenotype of a person I think it appropriate to suggest the person is multiracial… but if the heritage is from several generations back then think it’s a more nebulous situation.
It would be appear by your standards a fairly high percentage of black Americans should be called something other than black since many have some white, Native American, and/or Chinese background.

Why It Matters, and Why It Shouldn’t

Megan Fox talks about her tattoos & her ethnic mix – this is audio but at 0:34 the guy asks her for her nationality and she says “I’m a mix, I’m American Indian ah and French and Dark Irish” – If you had read the first article I’ve linked to, you would know that it’s rude, inconsiderate and dismissive to ask “how much native” she is.

That’s one opinion, here’s another:
http://www.hartford-hwp.com/archives/41/391.html
“For some American Indians, the eagerness of seemingly white Americans to adopt Indian culture is a cause of much amusement and some resentment. Some Cherokees scornfully refer to the “new agers,” “wannabes” and “pretendians.”
“I look at a lot of these people and what I see are white people,” said Richard Allen, a tribal policy analyst who has written a serious academic paper on the phenomenon with a facetious title: “My great-grandmother was a Cherokee princess and my great-great grandfather was Chief John Ross or Sequoyah or somebody like that, I can’t remember.”
“They may have Cherokee blood, I don’t dispute it,” he said. “But culturally, they’re not Cherokee. They have no understanding of the traditions, of the ceremonies, of what it’s like to be Cherokee.”
While many of the poseurs are harmlessly laughable, Allen says, some are outright insulting. Two men with curly blond hair and blue eyes, both purporting to be Cherokees, attended the tribe’s national holiday celebration wearing beaded headbands and leather Plains shirts.
“A lot of full-blooded Cherokees were standing around laughing at them, and I was one of them,” Allen said. “But the tourists didn’t see us. The tourists were taking pictures of them. They saw the people with Hollywood garb on. There’s a certain lack of dignity when they present themselves as American Indians. Real American Indians don’t hold themselves in that manner.”
So would you call Meagan Fox multi-racial? At one point is there a cut off between who is white and who is multi-racial in your mind..?
If you are administrator of a college fund for Native Americans, or need to make a decision if someone is eligible for affirmative action based upon their American Indian lineage and the person sitting across from you has who is claiming such heritage has blue eyes (as Meagan Fox has..) I would bet that you would ask some pretty detailed questions about that persons heritage. It’s quite common for white people to state that they have native American heritage. It’s very fashionable in some circles, sometimes it’s true, sometimes it’s not. Ward Churchill has been basically outed as falsely portraying himself as part American Indian.
Chris Rock and Andrew Young have both stated they have American Indian background but at the same time they clearly state they are black. In this sense I would describe Meagan Fox, Angelina Jolie, and Johnny Depp as white with some indigenous background but not multiracial.
If you notice I didn’t state what percentage of indigenous background Tommy Lee Jones or Burt Reynolds but that they each had an Native grand-parent. The point being they had a direct connection to a Native person not some nebulous idea that someone in their background was Native. (And in my mind both look more indigenous to me than Ms. Fox..)
Unless Ms. Fox were to come out and say “I’m multi-racial not white” (and I think even that would be subject to debate..) I think it’s fair for Abagond to describe her as white but acknowledge her Native background.

She doesn’t “Look Native”… by Random Babble
I actually do think that Megan Fox looks like she has a bit of Indigenous American or at least part Hispanic (which she doesn’t, but she just looks like she does to me). I don’t think she’s said “I’m white” OR “I’m multi-racial” but she does include Native American as one of her main ethnic backgrounds.
I’m not Indigenous American myself so I have nothing more to add, I will just be repeating what I’ve already said if I am to say anything “more”.

Thanks for the Random Babble link.
Nndb.com says Megan Fox is white and they tend to be liberal with the label of “multiracial”:
http://www.nndb.com/people/820/000129433/
In American society (as opposed to law) the One Drop Rule applies to an African background but not to a Native American one – there was no money in that in the past (though there is now).
If Megan Fox thought of herself as Cherokee and the Cherokees agreed, then I would go with that. But she does not and so far as I know they do not.
There are white people who try to pass as Native American, some of them going to great lengths to do so.
That said, Megan Fox does look part Native American to me: the straight black hair and high cheekbones, though admittedly they could have come from Europe in whole or in part.

So Ms. Fox be proud of your mixed back round and don’t say “o, yes I am Native American” because you think it makes you unique. Say I have a bit of everything I have a very diverse backround. She looks a lot like my husband’s sister in that photo! It’s amazing!
Also, I might be naive, but I really don’t get the plastic surgery. In most of the cases, it shows… In a bad way.
As for dark hair/light eyes, it is considered the most attractive combination. Especially if eyes in question are blue. Most of the girls I know prefer men with dark hair and blue (or green) eyes. Guys, on the other hand, are crazy about blondes.
But I must admit I never quite get the blue eyed appeal. It looks nice because it’s unusual, but unlike many people, I never find it uber-attractive.

When it’s done well, it’s not noticeable. And most celebrities have had well-done plastic surgery; people think they were born that way (Halle, Beyonce, Angelina, etc). The bad ones just come out looking really bad or, if they go too far, it starts to look wonky.

Speaking of scary, that picture of Lindsay Lohan would have Freddy Kreuger running for the hills! Seriously though, I wish young teenage women and women in their twenties would think more seriously about the long reaching after effects of their wild lifestyles. They may be having fun now, but they will definitely pay for it later. All that drinking, drugging, late night partying and sleeping around ages one very quickly. Our bodies were simply not made for that. I’m very glad that I didn’t get caught in that nonsense when I was younger. Apart from being Black I think my earlier lifestyle choices also help to account for my youthful appearance (I’m not bragging. Honestly I’m not.).
