Phantom Negro Weapons are those weapons which White Americans report black people having but which are never found for some strange reason. Even trained police officers report them. They are greatly feared by the white community, probably due to their magical properties:
Properties:
- Cloaking – they disappear just before a police search but magically reappear afterwards. This makes blacks particularly dangerous.
- Shapeshifting – these weapons can change form into something else, like a mobile phone or a wallet (pictured).
- Non-photographic – they do not appear on film or video when they assume a deadly form. Black people cannot see them in that form either – just white people.
- Lethal only to blacks – who possess them or stand near them (see below for examples). They are incapable of wounding white flesh.
Related phenomena: phantom black assailants.
Examples:
- 1999: Amadou Diallo – shot 41 times, hit 19 times, died. His gun shapeshifted into a wallet.
- 2006: Sean Bell – killed when police shot 51 times after one of his friends reached for his gun. The gun cloaked itself and was never found.
- 2009: Oscar Grant – shot dead when he reached for his gun. Since it was a Phantom Negro Weapon, police failed to find it when they searched him before putting him face down on the ground.
- 2011: Kenneth Chamberlain – shot dead when he threatened armed policemen with a butcher’s knife. The knife, of course, being a Phantom Negro Weapon, did not appear on the video recording.
- 2012: Ramarley Graham – the gun in his waistband cloaked itself after police shot him dead in front of his grandmother.
- 2012: Trayvon Martin – no weapon was reported, but the way his killer acted you would think his Arizona iced tea and bag of Skittles had shapeshifted from something far more deadly.
- 2012: Rekia Boyd – was killed when police shot at Antonio Cross, whose gun shapeshifted into a mobile phone.
- 2012: Jordan Davis – killed after threatening Michael Dunn with a shotgun rather than turning down his music. The police were unable to find the shotgun. Maybe it will still turn up, but more likely it was Phantom Negro Weapon which has cloaked itself.
Main uses: By black males when they are hopelessly outgunned or can achieve little reasonable benefit for themselves through violence. Inotherwords: where it would be nuts to use a mere physical weapon. Like when armed policemen pound on your door – time to whip out your Phantom Negro Weapon! Or when you are face down on the ground with a policeman’s knee in your back. Do not despair, it is never too late if you have your trusty Phantom Negro Weapon! Or when someone asks you to turn down your music. Loud music is worth dying for!
Analysis: Whites might be truly imagining these weapons, maybe out of racist fear, but far more likely they are just lying through their teeth to stay out of prison. Most Phantom Negro Weapon stories that depend on racist stereotypes to be believable would have to be lies.

You may be writing sarcastically, but the truth is that racism is a very powerful reality – and we create our own reality (to a large degree). You are describing something REAL – giving voice to it and naming it.
Maybe it shouldn’t be called “the Phantom Negro Weapon” though – because these weapons do not magically shapeshift into wallets, cellphones, or just plain thin air. Maybe what we need to describe or name is a psychological disorder, like the “shrinking penis” phenomenon. It can’t just be “mass hysteria” though (which often seems to be used as a label allowing one to live in denial about something that defies their worldview anyhow), because it’s long lasting. It’s not a one-time phenomenon.
So, Abagond and other commenters – what would you call this phenomenon. How would you define it? I bet you that if we try hard enough we can come up with an accurate definition and label for it. It’s not a joke (it would be if the consequences weren’t so dire). The weapons are not real, and those possessed by this phenomenon are delusional – however, the phenomenon ITSELF is real. I wonder – how can we unmask it? To name something is to have power over it.

In societies where private gun ownership is outlawed, people do not generally carry phantom weapons and also are not killed by people carrying authentic lethal weapons.
Why don’t people come to their senses that carrying guns around only exacerbates violence? Only in this environment can wallets, mobile phones, eyeglasses or even dark shadows morph into phantom weapons.

I thought long and hard about this case abagond and you are right… the guy was probably drunk and his racial bias might have made him hallucinate the gun…. There is also a possibility there was a gun and on the way to the hospital the gun was ditched. Most likely there was no gun. None of us no for sure. Even if there was a gun could the guy have just tried to drive off first without firing haphazardly into the vehicle aiming for anyone and everyone? Racism does need to be addressed… on both sides. What ever happened to the taco bell shooter who killed that mentally challenged kid. Was he ever prosecuted? Stand your ground may have helped him in that case… I don’t know.

This doesn’t show the whole scene… but it turns out what he thought was a gun was a steering wheel lock, anti theft device, called “the club” …the blown tire was a coincidence. Then the cops try to plant a gun and the young drunk cop supposedly jumps off the bridge after a black paramedic “the whistle blower” throws the planted gun off the bridge…. from the movie copland… a good one.

love this post and the phantom negro wepon sounds right to me.Its sad that when a black person is un armed ppl yell gun and start shooting. Its like white ppl are allowed to own guns and use them with little or no justification.yet a black person isn;t allowed to use a gun to defend their property against a white person without being locked up.i saw a youtube video that showed a black man running away from a white man because of road rage and he pulled into a police station parking lot and was trying to go inside but the white guy ran toward him and the black guy shot him in self defense. Then he went into the police station and told them what happened and they arrested him and he went to trial and thank goodness he was acquited.Yet cases like trayvon the killer gets to go home and not face jail right after the crime and let the jury decide if he is guilty or not.I feel like its ok for a white person to shoot with little or no cause but a black person gets jail if they shoot for defending themselves. in the eyes of ppl white is right even when it is so very wrong.

another thing i don;t understand is why is that white ppl get all upset when anybody mentions gun control. Its like you take away that gun and they have nothing. The guns and them are best friends its embedded in their theivery oops i mean history. Use guns to threaten ppl and keep them under control. maybe because they are not strong enough physically to fight someone man to man.Its like whites have always had a tricky way of getting ppl to do what they want and guns helped them enforce that.take away the guns and they have nothing except their trickery which won;t hold up against someone ,who is stronger and when they recognize they are being cheated will retaliate.i guess they feel like guns level the playing field because they know they are physically weaker. slaves were built and bred to be strong and tall while whites were inbreeding and becoming lazy and less strong so they had guns to keep slaves under control but u let them fight one on one and guess who gonna win. here;s a hint it;s not gonna be the person that rides a horse all day and carries a gun.

@jefe…. this is america a huge giant country. Do you really think that if guns were suddenly outlawed no one (especially criminals) would now not carry them? Or have them? Would that same law apply to cops on or off duty? Couldn’t some of them be dirty? I get what you are saying (by the way I’m not a gun owner) but I just don’t think it would work in a short term basis. The fact that regular people have guns make criminals and corrupt law enforcement think twice. (Not condoning what the drunk did in this case) But the fact that regular people might or could have a gun deters home invasions, car jacking, kidnappings, robberies and so on. Are there unfortunate incidents involving legal gun owners? YES absolutely. But they are dwarfed by criminals with illegal guns and weapons committing crimes. I don’t see how taking the legal guns away will totally solve the problem. Also will we then have Military style home invasions from law enforcement raiding our homes and putting good working men and women behind bars?

Well, something like that happened quite recently on a railway station in The Hague, a Hindustani ex-convict, had been accused of threatening somebody with a gun, cops came, one shot fired. The 17-years old burglar got the bullet in the neck (possibly by ricochet) and died. No gun in his possession.
Reactions vary between anger leading to saying racist things directed at white people to “good riddance”, in this case the victim really had had quite an impressive criminal carreer for his age. So it happens to other folks too.

There was another phantom gun in a shooting in Frisco last year. Two cops shot an unarmed 19 yr old black kid named Kenneth Harding for jumping a turnstyle at a Bart station. The cops stood around while the guy bled to death and wouldn’t even let anyone help him. They didn’t even charge the cops. Just put them on administrative leave. There were a couple of riots over it. Someone got part of it on video.
Graphic Warning:
Are you good and pissed off yet? Good. Now here are the real facts of what happened. They never found the perpetrators gun but the place had an electronic gunshot-location system used to determine when and where firearms are discharged. The first shots came from where Harding was followed by several shots from where the officers were. The officers couldn’t assist the wounded harding because they hadn’t located the gun and thought he might still be armed. They were further hindered by the angry mob. The officers had to spend time controlling an angry mob instead of securing and aiding the suspect. The mob very likely contributed to his death. And, finally, when the autopsy was performed Harding was shot twice. Once by an unknown caliber that passed through his leg and a second time by a .380 caliber that entered his neck and lodged in his head. Frisco cops carry 40 caliber not .380. In other words, Harding was shot and killed by a bullet from his OWN gun. You know, the phantom gun that wasn’t supposed to exist. So why weren’t the cops able to find it? Because he was running and when he fell it went flying. One of the bystanders picked it up and walked off with it.
Now for Harding’s rap sheet. He had just gotten out of prison for raping a 14 year old girl and forcing her into prostitution. Harding also was a person of interest in a quadruple shooting from the previous week that killed 19-year-old Tanaya Gilbert and her unborn child.
What have we learned from this? First, that sometimes phantom guns are real. Secpmd, that people jump to conclusions and accuse others of racism because they are themselves racist… and stupid. And third that its not unusual for criminals to have run ins with the law. SOciety is better off without punks like Harding. How many lives were saved by his death? We’ll never know but judging from his track record at least a couple. I don’t shed any tears for Harding. And we should reserve our tears in the Jordan case until we have more information. Abagond has a LOOONG history of jumping the gun and skewing the facts until all the facts are even known.

I was born and raised and educated in the USA and have travelled and lived all across it – from inner cities to small towns in different regions. I am very aware of the size of the country and psychology involved, including the racist elements. And yes, we all have grown up knowing people who have gotten shot and killed either by private gun owners or by the police.
But sorry, I do believe that banning private citizens from owning guns (or at least making very very tightly controlled) will make the USA much much MUCH safer than it is. For one thing, there will be no basis for law enforcement or private citizens to have any basis to suspect that people are carrying a gun. “Phantom weapons” will no longer be a basis for belief and no one would be able to shoot and kill people on the basis of phantom weapons, including on OR off duty cops. Well, indeed, private citizens at least wouldn’t even be able to shoot them in the first place.
Perhaps, in the very short term, it may not make a big difference. but in the medium to long term, most definitely yes.
Maybe not TOTALLY solve the problem but definitely solve 98% of this murder by guns problem. If you have lived in a society where private gun ownership is banned or extremely tightly controlled (after living in the USA, where it is not), you will understand instantly why this is so. Also, there is a very fine line between a legal gun owner and a criminal.
Do you remember the case of Yoshihiro Hattori in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1992? Was the man who shot and killed the student simply a legal gun owner trying to protect himself or a criminal? I see him as a murderer (therefore a criminal) who was acquitted and got off scot free. Japan is also a big country (at least in population), but even their press at that time noted how barbaric and sick it is to believe that you need to shoot and kill people to protect yourself from imagined threats.
The shooter/killer later gave up owning guns realizing that it is a grave mistake. It is sad that he realizes that only after he has shot and killed an unarmed teenager who was not threatening him in any way.

To even began a dialogue regarding taking away people right to bare arms is the beginning of Fascism. Hitler strip people of their right to bear arms and massacred Large masses of people of different nationalities and the world was turned on it’s head. Now you want me to believe that if for some odd reason this would not occur again, I believe not. You can give up your rights if you choose because that is your right to do so. But to suggest others to follow suite is a death sentence. I blame the oppressed systems that have plagued the majority of the social class than that of the 5% wealthiest class of people. They will continue to divide people against each other while they continue to put nails in the coffins that FEMA has ready for the rest of the 95% social class. The King Alfred Plan will use postal workers to gather you all up like cattle for slaughter. What will you do when they come for you will you fall to your knees and pray for the higher power to save you or will you take up your constitutional right to bear arms to protect you and your family. Only the nationality of the people will save you. If you or black, Negro, White or any of the other classifications of race you claim you will be killed. There is no country that if for the chattle names listed under race on nationality of the nations not the defacto nation you must know how to declare your birthright to your sovereign land and nation to declare your nationality. Sorry, I don’t understand the bearing arms makes you safer. Sounds like a fear mongering argument to liken it to fascism (which it is nothing to do with). It is not a valid argument to pull out the Hitler card to imagine a society with limited private gun ownership. Have you been to Japan? It is one of the most safest countries I have been to and ordinary private citizens are not even allowed to touch or hold a gun, much less own one.
Or Let’s take China for example. It has over 4 times the population of the USA and is about the same size, if not marginally larger. I think it qualifies as a big country.
People are subject to human rights abuses to a significant extent, esp. given the very weak rule of law, local corruption and the extensive use of the death penalty. Ethnic minorities in particular feel that their rights have been constrained. Now, do we suppose that if everyone had guns, it would be safer, more free, or more rights? the government would still easily quell any uprising with army and tanks if, say, Tibetans or Uyghurs decided to organize and carry guns. Or would guerrilla warfare make the streets safer? I don’t think so. They already brand them as terrorists.
Actually, what is more likely to happen would be that ordinary Chinese, esp. Han Chinese would carry guns to protect themselves from imagined fears. Individual Uyghur or Tibetans or foreigners would simply be shot dead and Han Chinese would get away with it. Sometimes there are lunatics who raid schools or shopping centres and knife several people before stabbing themselves. They might kill 2-3 persons and injure a few. With guns they could easily kill 20-30 people before shooting themselves.
China is by no means a very free society. But at least you can be about 99.9% certain that no one would shoot you, even the police. You can be 99.999999% certain that no one would suspect you of carrying a phantom weapon. Carrying guns certainly would not make anyone feel safer and would not make you feel like you have more rights.

Most justifiable homicides are intraracial
In incidents involving citizens, three-quarters involved citizens and felons of the same race.
In incidents involving police, two-thirds involved police officers and felons of the same race.

“As a result of the changes to Article 10 of the Mexican Constitution and the enactment of the Federal Law of Firearms and Explosives, openly carrying a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon in public is virtually forbidden to private citizens, unless explicitly authorized by the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA). Good article! Correction, one of the better articles you’ve written in sometime. Not that the others were bad, this is just better.
Another thing they attribute to us black people are “phantom” personality qualities and attributes. They have a habit of projecting all they hate or fear about the world onto us.
Jordan Davis probably died because the guy projected everything he feared or thought to be true unto JD. Especially since JD apparently turned the music back up, the guy must have felt so aggravated by a “negro” daring to challenge his superiority. A negro and all that word means, this kid and his friends all sitting in a car in a gas station at night obviously up to no good, God knows what they have in the car, could be weapons or drugs or whatever.
As a black person, I feel that when confronted by an angry white person on the street, it is better to just back down. The potential cost of standing your ground is just not worth it. The reason is that since they have such an inordinate amount of fear for us, be it repressed, when in a heated situation with one of us, they are more likely to act out of paranoia, more than we are. If the situation ends badly for them, the law is going to come down on us like a tonne of bricks more so than it would for them. Taking all that into consideration, it’s best to just appease the poor paranoid guy and let him walk away feeling like he was right and justified all along. Is it cowardice? Is the price of standing up for your humanity worth the potential loss of your life or freedom? I guess it is a personal choice.
Plus never forget there is no length a person programmed by the white culture won’t go to if they feel justified in their actions.(Just look at history and the world around you) It also so happens that the whole programming of their culture is to feel justified, righteous and pure. Those 2 combine to deadly effect for whoever incurs there wrath.

Nice post. Expect more “phantom” objects and “superhuman” Negroes in the new year. Whites are imploding and they’re taking as many of us with them as possible. Gun sales skyrocketed after the elections and bullet/gun manufacturers are seeing an increase in sales. Coupled with states wanting to secede and you’ve got tensions running high.
Some things I’ve noticed about our “phantom” status:
1. Even black babies possess superhuman strength and can violate innocent whites at will.
2. Any weapon, even a piece of paper, is dangerous in the hands of a Negro.
3. The victim ALWAYS deserves to die/hang.
God Bless White AmeriKlan!

You know what gets to me about Jordan Davis’ death? The person who killed him would never had done so if Jordan had been older, visibly more threatening and surrounded by equally threatening individuals. In fact, I bet that guy would never have stopped at that convenience store in the first place. But no – this guy thought it could safely intimidate someone who was younger and weaker than him.
Hallmarks of a pure coward. And like rank cowards, they intimidate others when and only when they feel they have superior numbers or superior force. At least he wasn’t a cop, otherwise everyone would be talking about how Jordan’s death was somehow “justified”.

Like Jefe said, guns are so plentiful in the U.S. that anyone could be seen as having a phantom weapon. And, of course, the police do not always find the weapons they are looking for, even those that leave behind wounds or dead bodies.
What makes most Phantom Negro Weapon stories different is that we are expected to believe two things at the same time:
1. Killers are honest
2. Blacks are irrationally violent
Sometimes blacks are irrationally violent and killers tell the truth, but more often it is the other way round. Which is why I doubt they will find Jordan Davis’s shotgun – though, as in the post, I grant that it is possible they might. But until it shows up it is safer to suppose that Dunn is lying.

And BOTH have occurred within one week after I posted the above.
– A Chinese primary school experiences a mass violence attack — 22 schoolchildren are knifed, some with serious injuries, but none die.
– a USA elementary school in CT is attacked by a shooter who kills 26 in the school, his mother and himself. Dozens more are injured.
It is almost as if I predicted exactly what would happen before it actually did. Of course I have no crystal ball, just a sense of what happens in each society. China is by no means a free society, but I certainly feel much safer there than the USA from mass violence or street violence, esp. from gun violence.

Jordan Davis was murdered because of Michael Dunn’s hatred of black people. Dunn expressed how he hated black teens, referring to them as thugs. Thug is the new code word for the N-word. He said he feared for his life. This is were the phantom negro weapons come in. The youth didn’t have any weapons. Dunn’s hatred and ignorance has landed him 60+ years in prison. Maybe while he is in prison he can think about how he feels about black people. Will he tell his fellow inmates to turn their music down? Will he refer to them as thugs to their faces? Dunn is going to prison, I am glad for that. Prayers to Jordan Davis’s family.
