Kim Kardashian (1980- ) is a rich party girl from Los Angeles, California. Till 2007 she was mainly known as a friend of Paris Hilton, but then a sex video of her and her boyfriend, the singer Ray J, made the rounds on the Internet. After that she made the cover of Complex, King, Playboy and other magazines.

According to this blog she is the fifth most beautiful woman in the world. She has big, beautiful eyes, a beautiful face, long, thick black hair and a great figure. Her measurements are 35D-26-40 (89-66-102 cm). She is 5 foot 3 (1.60 metres).

When Paris Hilton was asked if she wanted a big bottom like Kardashian, she said, “.. it’s gross! It reminds me of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag.”

In reply Kardashian said, “If Paris Hilton thinks my butt looks gross, I don’t really care. At least I have a butt.”

Even though Kardashian is white, black men seem to like her more than white men. She was the first white woman to make the cover of King magazine yet she barely made white American Maxim’s Hot 100.

Since she herself seems to prefer black men, did she use her family’s money to give herself a black woman’s body?

She says no: all the women in her family have her sort of figure. But there is at least one picture of her where her legs seem too thin compared to the rest of her body and another one where her bottom was clearly smaller than it is now.

She said that Jennifer Lopez’s pride in her figure gave her the courage to show off hers. And that she did, naked, in Playboy in December 2007 in what she calls “tastefully done” pictures.

She said she appeared in Playboy at the urging of her mother (yes) and “because I’m not one of those stick skinny girls you see. I felt like girls today need to see a normal body.”

When Vivid Video put out her sex video in 2007 she took them to court. How could she face her grandmother? But later that same year Kardashian herself put out a much longer sex video.

Many think she masterminded the whole sex video thing from beginning to end: it was all a bit too much like what her friend Paris Hilton did a few years before. And the video is too well done to seem like something private that suddenly saw the light of day.

If the name Kardashian seems somehow familiar you are probably thinking of her father: he helped to defend OJ Simpson at his murder trial in 1995. He came out of retirement to do it: he and Simpson were friends.

In 1989 when she was little her parents divorced. Her mother married Olympic gold-medal winner Bruce Jenner.

She was married to R & B producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004. A mistake, she says.

She and Paris Hilton have known each other since they were little girls: their mothers were friends.

I must be honest here and admit I don’t really support (though I try to understand) if someone wants to date only people of his/her own race. I support interracial relationships.

But those things should not be forced. Exoticizing people of other races and making them your sexual fantasies doesn’t help. That’s why many men (women?) who only date outside their race are actually racist. They are chasing people of other colour because they have a fetish.

Yeah, you’re right. I remember Ray J and Reggie Bush. And Kim’s sister, Khloe’s just married Lamar Odom not too long ago. They do stereotype black men. I recall a recent interview with shock jock, Howard Stern. And they talk about why they love black men and their butts…even remarking “once you go black, you never go back.”

I think my post answers your question (I’m pretty sure we were typing at the same time), but I also thought about how the Kardashians seem to view Black people as accessories. Kim started out being super-tight with Paris, who doesn’t look like she’d touch a Black person with a 10-foot pole, and she’s dated many Black men, yet you don’t see her with any Black girlfriends. Why is she trying so hard to get into Black culture yet only sexually? Like I said, side eye.

Nothing wrong in liking black men. Black men (well, like men in general) can be very attractive. Hey, I like black men (I think). But that’s not the point. Going only for one race (especially if it’s other than your own) is bad, because chances are that you’re not really respecting your partners- all you want is a fantasy.

Keep in mind many black women do the exact same thing. Only go for black men with a “certain” kind of image. I talk about this with other black men all the time. One of my friends, he’s into rock music, he doesn’t dress in an “urban” style, or have the speech mannerisms associated with urban black men. He tries to approach black women and gets shot down every time. So he just dates white girls, they accept his non-stereotypical image. He complains that black women only chase the urban/hip hop stereotype. I think there’s truth in what he’s saying. Sure, there’s white women that exoticize the rapper image and only go for that, but there’s a hell of a lot of black women that do the same thing.

That website is hardly accurate. They often list only famous or long-term partners, and Trent didn’t date many famous women. But fans reported seeing him with his black girlfriends all the time (before/after the concerts etc).

She helps run the “Dash” clothing stores with her sisters and her mother and they also have a skincare line out and a perfume and jean line. I believe they are working on a makeup line as well. Before all of that she says she sold clothes, shoes, etc that people couldn’t find in that area. Her dad (the late Robert Kardashian) would get them for her and she would then use them to turn a profit. Other than that, she has the reality show with her family.

I can’t say that can applaud the means by which Kim Kardashian came into prominence. I can’t say that I would want a female relative to grow up and be like her. Whenever I’ve heard her speak, I’ve never thought how intelligent and interesting she was. She’s beautiful, but of course that’s not enough, and gets real tired after an hour of vacuous conversation over dinner. However, all that being said, to me, what IS interesting about Kim Kardashian is what she seems to brings out in certain White people, particularly by way of her connections to certain Black people.

Kim Kardashian is what I would call an “exotic” which is a person who doesn’t seem to fall visually into easy racial identification when you first look at her. Is she Latina? Is she Indian? Is she mixed with Filipino? Is she Arab? She’s one of those people who you know isn’t exactly White or Black, but you can’t be sure just what they are without them telling you. I would put
Nicole-Scherzinger in the same category.

The biggest difference is that Kim Kardashian (even before surgery) seemed to have the kind of curves that are often associated with Black women. The difference was that instead of them actually being on a Black woman they were on this racially ambiguous “exotic” so that no one had to admit, how smitten they were with the ‘Black female body type!’ Instead they had a kind of surrogate to wear the same curves, but not actually be Black. In the early days, this seemed to work for Kim, and both Black and White guys were fairly smitten with her. However it wasn’t long before you began to hear White women calling her fat, chunky, gross, etc., because she didn’t look like most of them.

But THEN she really crossed the line, because it quickly became apparent that she had a thing for Black men! How could she!? So here were these White guys, who wanted her physically, but realized that they were not her type. That wasn’t supposed to be possible! White men where supposed to be the universal sperm donors—EVERYBODY was supposed to want to get with Whites!

And that was when I noticed that there seemed to be a bit of a double standard going on. Fellow floozies like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton were also plowing through multiple boyfriends like buzz saws. Both purportedly made sex tapes of their own, both have had reality TV series about them, just like Kim. And although Lindsay and Paris are certainly not respected or thought of as great talents, they somehow avoid being described as “gross looking” and are seen as lesser sluts in comparison to the horrid Kardshians.

I can’t help but think that the combination of looking ‘like a Black woman’ and dating Black men are at the root of this extra helping of animus. But again, her personal choices give much room for rebuke regardless.

Well, that’s pretty much what I was saying.

Again, I’m not a Kim Kardashian fan. I just think it’s interesting looking at how Whites react to her as opposed to White looking and White-loving co-bimbos.

I know that Kim has had plastic surgery, I’m assuming some of it on her butt, however, she has always been curvy. Here she is as a teenager.

Ummm I am not completely certain what the differences in the mainstream reaction to Kim K and Paris Hilton r, both r very famous for no discernible reason, both have been chosen by the elite to present some lifestyle that is so rife with excess that it seems almost ludicrous especially in a time of deep recession and they both r indicative of an agenda to keep the masses in some illusory “reality” that conveys that money – morality = happiness. Kim. K is the post-modern pleasure model with her ridiculous proportions and a lot of money has been invested in keeping her looking “:perfect” with her huge manufactured behind, the super-small waist and death-defying proportions. I think my post answers your question (I’m pretty sure we were typing at the same time), but I also thought about how the Kardashians seem to view Black people as accessories. Kim started out being super-tight with Paris, who doesn’t look like she’d touch a Black person with a 10-foot pole, and she’s dated many Black men, yet you don’t see her with any Black girlfriends. Why is she trying so hard to get into Black culture yet only sexually? Like I said, side eye.

Actually Paris was having sex with 50 cent but she is a notorious racist and comes from a family of racists, many of the elite families r racist against black people, Kim K represents the “new” black woman as the was against the black race is being waged at this point from an “assimilation” and “deracination” standpoint. We r not going anywhere but we r being controlled from a genetic standpoint and r being encouraged to take on physical and mental attributes that r not our own, this is why a lot of black men r marrying outside their race and raising mixed-race kids and this is why plenty of black women r walking around looking ridiculous with their hair-weaves made from hair shaved off asian and east-indian women, and so far.. True that they both fall into the same camp on many levels but this is what I notice in the public perception – See if you agree.

Paris Hilton = Excess, empty, entitled, wild party girl, shallow
Lindsay Lohan Drugs, Screw up, wasted talent, underdog, party girl
Kim Kardashian Excess, SLUT, used goods, soiled, fat, ruined

Bear in mind, I was trying to keep it short.

Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that Kim doesn’t deserve her reputation, It’s just interesting that Paris or Lindsay, who have lived very similar lives, aren’t seen in the exact same way. And I think that the root of the difference is association with Black men. I don’t expect you to feel sorry for her – I don’t. I’m just saying that there is a difference.

Even among liberal “free thinkers” a woman who’s spent time on the top beauty list is not supposed to shun White guys and go after Black guys.
