Remarks:
This song went to #3 in 1987 in their native France. It was a worldwide hit for them and has been endlessly covered. Although they grew up in France, their music is Spanish with Afro-Cuban roots. Their parents are Roma (Gypsies) who fled Spain in the 1930s during the civil war.
Lyrics:
Ese amor llega así de ésta manera
No tiene la culpa
Caballo de danza vana
Porque es muy despreciado por eso
No te perdono llorar
Ese amor llega asi esta manera
No tiene la culpa
Amor de compra y venta
Amor de en el pasado
Bem, bem bem bem, bem bem bem
Bem, bem bem bem, bem bem bem
Bamboleo bambolea
No te encuentro l’abandon
There is nothing african in that is pure flamenco

this is more Spanish with Afro Cuban and Latino american music, because it is very different from gypsy music in the Balkans for example. This is true gypsy music:

I come from Balkans and I am part Romani (gypsy) so I know.
Gypsy music in Balkans merged with other styles but it kept it’s Punjabi roots, especially, old gypsy party music.

Oh, I love this song! Makes me remember my childhood (apparently, I was 6 when it was released). It was a HUGE hit in former Yugoslavia.

I love their song “Baila Me”. I heard it while watching BET’s cancelled “Caribbean Rhythms”.
