Black women are beautiful. I love their thick, black hair and thick lips, their high cheekbones, almond-shaped eyes and the wonderful shape of their bodies. (This post is only about their outer beauty, not their inner beauty.)
Different men like different sorts of women, I know, and there are beautiful women in all races and all countries. I know that too. But for me black women are the most beautiful women in all the world.
I used to tell myself that I like all races of women equally, but it is just not true. I like certain things in women and black women are way more likely to have them.
There are three things I like in women that seem to be hard-wired into me:
- black hair
- high cheekbones
- a thick figure
That is why I think Sophia Loren is the most beautiful woman in the world. She is white, but the very things I like in her are the very things I like in black women!
East Asian women have black hair and high cheekbones, which I love, but in general they do not have much of a figure when compared to black women.
Some white women have all three, especially Latin women, but far more black women do.
White and Asian women have longer hair in general than black women. All things being equal longer hair looks better than shorter hair, but for me it is more important that it be thick and black and on that score black women have other women beat.
Black women have the best bottoms ever, one of the most beautiful things God has created. Why in the world would I want a woman without one?
And their lips and cheekbones send me over the edge.
But what I like most of all are their eyes. They can make me melt inside – or fall in love.
Their looks also hold up much better when they age or get fat.
For many dark skin makes a woman less beautiful. Not for me.
Writing about “black women are beautiful” is like writing about “the sky is blue”: both are as plain as day to me, so why talk about it? But judging from comments I get on my blog it is not as plain as day to many people.
Certainly not in North America, Europe, Brazil and India where fair-skinned women are seen as more beautiful. Even in Jamaica, where almost everyone is black. But all these places have been ruled by fair-skinned people for such a long time. That has to affect their ideas of female beauty.
One more thing: This is not a point of beauty but it does affect how certain black women appear to me. Growing up people made fun of my lips and my hair, so black women with big lips and natural hair have a special place in my heart.

Thanks a million Abagond. Yes, Black women are beautiful but we let others define who we are.
I was watching Tyra last night. I heard several derogatory comments about Black women from men of all races, that Black women are the least desirable women and that men rather prefer to be with nonblack women.
It seems clear to me that nonblack men define beauty based upon race and that’s sad in a multiracial society like America.

I agree 200%… black women are absolutely gorgeous! They are goddesses, and should be treated as such. It’s really a shame that the majority of american culture defines beauty by what they are told what beauty is supposed to be. Americans are too obsessed with themselves… there is a whole different world of beauty beyond the redundant pages of fashion magazines!

I think ALL women – regardless of skin color or ethnicity – are beautiful. I am a white male, late 30’s. I judge beauty by the woman’s sincerity, soul, charisma, honesty, and inherent sensuality.
Who cares what other people think, really? Each of us – no matter if we’re black, white, brown, yellow, or whatever – has our own individual, unique preferences when it comes to being attracted to the opposite sex. Why even debate it and try to make it into some huge racial discussion?
Oh … I LOVE black women. I LOVE Asian women. I LOVE Hispanic women. And it’s not because I’m white and want to “dominate”. It’s because I learned to look beyond the color of a person’s skin and see them for they truly are within.
Maybe you ignorant fools need to do the same instead of playing the racial card.

Your words are nice, but they do not seem to come from experience. If you ever truly loved a black woman you would not talk like that. You would know, for one thing, that whites play the race card every single day.

If a man wants to single out a group of women and say they are beautiful, he has a right to do that. I am so tired of people complaining because someone did not include EVERYONE in a post that was not meant for them. I do not go on blogs criticizing where there are men praising the beauty of white women, asian women, etc, because that is their idea of beauty and what they like. I think women of color are more beautiful than white women. Are you going to rag on me too and call me names? How childish. How in the world is this even playing the “race” card? You are just looking to start mess, but you hide it under your politically correct opinion. I have heard white men say that their women were better looking than women of color, and that is their opinion. It never ever crossed my mind that they were playing the race card, simply because they were not. I don’t need to look beyond anything. I see color and I notice differences. It does not mean I am going to then discriminate against anyone because of those differences.
Black women are beautiful and I will never deny that fact. That’s what this whole post was about. A man admiring the beauty of black women, and I believe he did it in a respectable and admirable way. If you don’t like what he stated here than go make your own blog and post about how you like all women equally. Don’t rain on someone else’s parade trying to appear more open-minded and mature, when your post Club was anything but.

A truer title for this post would be “Black women are physically beautiful”, but to use it would seem a bit strange. Also, I know that when people search on the Internet for “beauty” or “beautiful” they mean the physical sort nine times out of ten.

When a woman is more fair she is not from the working class and doesn’t have to work in the sun that darkens her skin. But it does feel nice to feel like weare on top of the world and not at the bottom of the totem pole of beauty.

Do you know what? I’m an avid consumer. I had a lot of subscriptions and I’d very rarely see women of any color in any of these fashion magazines, always in the ads, generally celebrities but never in the fashion spreads. Year after year, it was the same thing. I decided to stop subscribing. I love some of the men’s magazines (GQ, Esquire, Details) so I started reading my then boyfriend’s. I’d see a black woman once in a while, far more often than I saw them in the women’s magazines. There were loads of Latina and miscellaneous exotic (generally multiracial)-looking women. If mainstream media will not acknowledge black women and black media outlets will denigrate and objectify us, it’s up to us to
Where are the White women and why not include them or state that they’re beautiful? Well, go take a look at Vogue, Cosmo, Glamour, Marie Claire, Elle, Allure, Maxim, etc. Turn on your television. Go to the movies. No one should have to justify acknowledging beautiful women of any color. Black women are beautiful. Brown women are beautiful. Asian women are beautiful.

All things being equal most women, of any race, look better to me with longer hair than shorter hair. But it is hardly the most important thing and I said as much: that white and Asian women, even with generally longer hair, are not as good-looking to me as black women with their natural hair.
I never said anything about straight hair. I do not particularly care for it.

I love how black women look, but I would not call them exotic. Exotic is a point of view. I have lived mainly in places where most women are black, so to call them exotic would be a stretch. Only when I am overseas do they seem to stand out in a crowd.
But I think I know what you are saying about black American women: that they fill in all the shades between European white and African black that you rarely see anywhere else in the world, except maybe in Somalia, Brazil and somewhere between Morocco and Senegal. And that makes them beautiful and wonderful in the world of women.

I can’t even count how many nasty comments I’ve read from people about black women and that really does hurt. So passing by this site and reading this is really uplifting thank you for this. I agree with a lot of what the other posters said white men and other men consider asian, latina, indian, middle eastern women etc way more beautiful and exotic than black women and that always gets to me they are now the new women of color and the only ones white guys choose to date interracially.

I just happened upon this site and it is so ironic for so many reasons. In me eyes, as a woman, I felt that ‘black’ women had to be the most scorned, undesired people on this Earth. Truly. Everyone else seems to be able to cross boudaries and marry other cultures – but ‘black’ women seem to have it especially hard in that area – and it shows considering the ratio of single black women. For their sakes, I hope other men will get the courage to start seeking life partners and not just reflections of their mothers.
Cheers,

Your site is very encouraging and flattering. Just as Denise said, it’s like the black race is everyone’s punching bag to make them feel better, like we’re inferior. I just read a Yahoo answer page on how beautiful Arab women are and after reading the comments, I wished someone would praise black beauty like that. Then I happened on this site. Once you think about it, we are richly endowed: our figure, hips, array of skin tones and yes our hair too. Thanks for praising black women since the media and hip-hop doesn’t.

I am so glad to hear that someone has something positive to say about black women. Yes, we are beautiful, with naturally outstanding characteristics that many non-blacks try more and more to imitate – to name but a few – full lips, rounded hips, shapely behinds, dark tans. Why try to imitate what’s real?
Black women are beautiful principally for the reason that we are a representation of Africa – strong, resilient and nurturing; furthermore we come in many rich shades – tawny, chocolate brown, caramel, etc etc. Unfortunately, some black women, ashamed of their natural beauty, do the unthinkable and bleach out their skins – whereby they begin to look ill. What a crime against nature.
I am tired of turning on the TV, or flicking through magazines only to see light skinned models or actresses – and other fairer skinned ‘ideals’ of beauty. Let’s face it, having dark skin means you never look washed out and can look magnificent, even stunning, in such colours as red, pink, yellow, green – which emphasise and highlight our colourful and confident personalities and spirits.
Angelina Jolie is praised for her pouty lips, JLO for her round butt, etc etc – how many black women do you see praised for these naturally occuring qualities? Any black women who are held up as beautiful by the media, either possess caucasian features (ie small nose, small behind, stick thin), or are several shades lighter than the average black woman.
Yes do say it again and again because it’s true ‘black women are beautiful’ and thank you for acknowledging that much ignored fact.

If blacks celebrate blacks it is suddenly racist. When whites do it, which goes on all the time in America, it is not seen that way. Whites only notice the more extreme racists, like Nazis or the Klan, not the everyday stuff.
Try this: buy a copy of Vogue magazine and count the black women and see if it comes up to 13% – their share of the American population.
This blog features way more white women than Vogue features black women. So you tell me who has been more inspired by “Mein Kampf”, me or Anna Wintour.

I am a white guy from Holland. I agree that the media is not fair on black women. It’s very anoying. But what can you do about it? Personally I try not to care what other people think. I think black women are very attractive. Not long ago I have had a black girlfriend. On the streets and in restaurants I see and feel people staring at us. But the good thing is, that quite a lot of people seem to be happy for us. Over here in the bigger cities you see more and more mixed couples. But you don’t have to travel far to feel that people are not ready for it. Amazing thing. We are all humans aren’t we?
But Hopefully all black women are strong enough to cope with any negative responses they might receive. I think they are. Most negative responses, I reckon, are based on jealousy. But hey, don’t get arrogant in order to fight or cope with it. The most beautiful woman in the world to my opinion is a confident, friendly, black woman.

abagond i like how you represent black women as being beautiful because it seems that no one sees us as beautiful and we’re looked at in a negative way. it’s sad that hollywood and the media only favored light skinned women as being beautiful while dark skinned women as being unattractive but what can i do about it? people shouldn’t have to rely on hollywood telling us what’s beautiful and what’s not because we should know that we’re beautiful. every skin tone of every black women are beautiful and i think people need to see that. i’m proud to be a dark skin young women and will not be ashamed of it because of what people think of us. the thing i like about tyra’s show because she talks about what goes on in the black community that deals with race and beauty, while other shows don’t want to show it because i think people are in denial that this light/dark skin issue still exist, which it does. black women do have the best skin, eyes, lips, figure, but we should be more than just our outer beauty. i think we are strong, confident, caring people but there are people would think we’re loud, ignorant and ghetto. sometimes i do think we are the most envious when it comes to looks because nowadays most white women that i see on tv look more tan, fake implants, getting their lips injected trying to look like a black woman. hollywood praised white people as people when there are many white women don’t like who they are because they look plain and pale so they want more color to them, but that’s my opinion. black women are beautiful and i’m glad that someone sees that.

Of course black women are beautiful. To uplift the beauty of white women, the media needs to downplay the beauty of another; that happens to be black women. The only reason why the media is successful in this eurocentric standard of beauty is because black women allow it to affect them. Why are there black women who are over the age of 60 walking around with blond wigs? Absolutely ridiculous.
How can the media be successful if black women ignored it?
Just as how can a business be successful with no patrons?

Creamy black skin, high cheekbones, with fantastic bodies and hearts that long to be listened to. Black women being themselves is wonderful. My outward appearance would probably make many of you think I’m unapproachable. I am not and I am not alone. We are out here to love you for who you are and we find you more beautiful than any other women from any other race. You are more beautiful than American society speaks of. But it doesn’t mean they don’t feel it. Society is just in the process of catching up with the beauty far ahead of it.

As a white male living in the UK countryside I did not grow up in an environment with black people around me and for many years was shy and awkward around both sexes. Having met many African people and one African American woman married to another white Brit, I truly wish that I had had the opportunity to meet more African American people when I was young. That lady by the way is probably the woman in the world that I most admire – not for her pysical beauty – but for her inner beauty and strength of character. Judging by blogs here and elsewhere I am very sure that she is not unique and it is my loss not to have discovered all of this much sooner.

Thank you for this post, it was absolutely great. As a child I was teased because my eyes are super duper dark and had a slight slant and I hated my hair as it was very thick and wavy and just always got in the way and took a long time to braid when all I wanted to do was play, I wanted chemically straightened hair like all the other girls and to be like those princess types in those Disney animated movies (really unhealthy images for black children, sorry, they can make Mulan and Aladdin but the one movie about anything remotely associated with Africa hadn’t a single human face in it) and one day my mom did it for me, my father and grandparents were NOT happy about it one bit lol. I look up to my brother a lot and when I was around 13 and he was about 20, I remember him telling me that I have a real laugh, he said, you laugh because its what you feel and you’re not trying to be cute, hold onto that. He sat down and talked to me about changing myself, it was life changing. He explained about the hair straightening, he said that I should want the things I have and not the things other people wanted me to have. And at 14 I cut all the straightened hair off, never looked back, I let it grow then I would get bored and cut it, didn’t matter, would be shoulder length in a few months again anyway, and this really sealed it, it was just hair, nothing more. He helped me realize that black is indeed beautiful and that talk (among the ones I had with my Mother, Father, Aunts and Uncles) help put me on the road to being a woman who is fine with the skin she’s in. I thank them, and so does my soon to be husband. Stay true, and Abagond damn you, I’m addicted to your blogs lol.

Thank you Abagond. And I thank you again for doing what you’re doing here, I think its needed, as the Entertainment/Fashion Industry standard of beauty is very far reaching and is quite damaging to anyone who doesn’t fit (yes that’s most people but black people are so very different from what that standard holds up) Not to mention the double standards, Agelina Jolie has puffy lips (yes I said puffy, while she isn’t an unattractive woman I do not classify her lips as thick as it just looks like she got a fresh punch in the chops) everybody goes wild. Jennifer Lopez is pretty much only known for her butt, but America ate it up as if women with shapely butts were like unicorns, Kim Kardashian, same thing.
A lot of white women risk their health and/or shed dollars to get tanned, use sprays and hair weaves to bulk up their hair, lip injections, breast implants, and now all the rage, butt implants, even some gay white men do this. When Asian women wear loud and ridiculous makeup and clothing or just generally over adorn themselves its seen as exotic high fashion, when black women do it, its labeled “ghetto”. When black women don’t have patience for bull, we are labeled b*tches, anybody else does it, oh she’s just standing up for herself, she is woman hear her roar blah blah. Though black women come in all shapes, sizes, and characters, when she has these features she is labeled undesirable and is pretty much invisible. Just like there’s a difference between thick and fat, there’s a difference between strong and bitter. And you know what it comes down to? Black women are not seen as women, women are often valued by how appealing men find them and black women do not fit the European standard of what a women “should” be so we are female but we are not considered women, plain and simple. I think we need to kick that way of thinking right in the arse, it starts at home (a little black girl who starts to straighten her hair at 5 years old will mostly stay permed up and weaved up when she becomes and adult and will teach her daughter the same, and don’t be surprised if her sons prefer straight hair on women, what did you think was going to happen?)
If someone doesn’t like you loving yourself AS YOU ARE then they can go jump off a bridge because they don’t mean you any well. Learning a new language or a new skill are examples of improving oneself, bleaching your skin and straightening your hair are NOT, I’m not saying one can’t try different “looks” but when you feel like you’re less attractive wearing your natural hair thats a problem :). There are folks out there that build their self esteem and self worth by trying to make other people feel beneath them because they’re vampiric and perpetually empty and/or have nothing better to do, do not let them. And as corny as it sounds, I don’t care wether you’re from Asia, Africa, Americas, when I see dark skin, I see a person of the Earth who is in touch with the sun, and I love that. Well that’s quite enough ranting for me Lol. Get free, Stay free. Peace.

I am a light skinned green eyes mixed race guy my Mother being Black and also from Kenya and my Father being white and from America, the first 5 words of this statement will undoubtedly discredit what I am desperately trying to say to a few in the world on both sides of the fence who view life through blinders of personal pain and hate and the own versions of history “Both Black and White” as that has been the way of things from my perspective for the majority of my life. I am married to a wonderful woman “very dark chocolate” who happens to be AA but that is not the reason I married her,, It was love pure and simple “also the fact she laughed at all my stupid habits and old jokes was also a definite plus and she is of coarse is MUCH better then I deserve,,lol,,} we have 6 wonderful children together who are the true treasures of our lives. With that said I will also say that they are all really beautiful and intelligent and strong 4 girls and 2 boys {OK I do admit that I am bragging a bit here in this matter ,,lol,,} and they are to any one looking of mixed heritage. The point of this comment is that the very reason my children are as smart and as attractive as they are is because of the racial make up of there of our marriage and yes “if you are asking” I am completely convinced of this. You may call it the modern Medias propaganda of the “White Standard” of beauty but the fact still remains that many of us still have a very limited view of how we view other people and what defines pretty to our eyes. I guess what I am trying to say in this ramble is this,, There is indeed some one for every one regardless of features, race, or religion, body type or really anything else. Some times if we give it a chance you will find the person that is truly your soul mate and it may very well be in the most unexpected places or in circumstances that you could never dream of with some one that in any other time you would not look twice at if you would just “Give It A Chance” and you may be pleasantly surprised and find true love and happiness if you would only accept every ones differences and stop desperately trying to ignore them. All my love to every one,,, Tommy

You are so encouraging. I really apprecitate your aesthetic perspective and I tend to agree with you.
I particularly find some African people to be amazingly beautiful. Just today I was on a bus and there was a West African woman with the most amazingly soft, smooth, tight, dark skin, exquisite facial features (eyes, lips etc.) and high (and wide) cheekbones. Incredible! The woman who was with her was about 50, must have been her mother, had exactly the same skin and bone structure.
As usual I couldn’t stop staring at them. I couldn’t help admiring them but I was also jealous!! Why don’t I look like that! I wish I did look like that especially after reading your posts. It would be nice to know that someone admires/thinks like that about your type of beauty. Darker skinned black women with that type of facial structure don’t get that kind of attention often enough. Your website is very important. It is really needed because what you say is not said often enough!
By the way, I see the same quality in some young African guys and in alot of African children. As well as having luxuriously soft, smooth, dark skin and high cheekbones they also have a firmness to their flesh which gives a good tone on their arms and legs. You don’t really see this quality in other people. That is why I think black women can still look beautiful when they are fat – both the skin and flesh are firmer and this gives a firmer look tone). Also the light reflects really well on the surface of the dark skin, especially if it has that smooth quality.
Thank you!

Yes, I think the uniqueness of black women’s natural features makes them stand out wooly hair, full thick lips, and high high high cheekbones with slanted almond shaped eyes. Here are the countries with the most beautiful black women.
10. South Africa
Great bodies and faces.
9. France
Every black woman that I’ve seen from France was a stunner.
8. Ghana
These women look like statues; dark ebony skin, perfect white teeth, high cheekbones and slanted eyes.
7. Kenya
These women are intelligent and carry themselves with grace and they have beautiful skin and teeth.
6. Brazil
You would think there were no black women in Brazil based on the media but they are and they have great bodies and hair.
5. Ethiopia
Is there any wonder many of them end up modeling in America?
4. Bahamas
These women must have all the beauty secrets. They have great skin, full thick hair, white teeth and great bodies.
3. Nigeria
Very classy and intelligent with model like faces. Any time an African country wins a major beauty pageant, its usually a Nigerian.
2. America
Here you will find the palest to the darkest beauties, so of course you are bound to find some beauties.
1. Trinidad and Tobago
Just watch Carnival if you aren’t convinced. These women are beautiful. There are a few Miss Universes and Worlds from this country.

you contradicted yourself in the post you said you think black women are the most beautiful women, yet the most beautiful woman in the world is a white woman? think about that if the best qualities you like in beauty black women have, then wouldnt the authentic characteristics of a certain race, wouldnt they have the best, as it is stated “there aint nothing better than the real thing.” so you really lost me on that one, how is it bw have the best quality, and the skin tone and all to you, but yet a white woman still is seen as the most beautiful woman to you? and i disagree with you on black men do not see raced they do, and they definitely see skin color also. i have heard and seen black males go crazy over an average or pretty looking non bw, but a black woman has to have a,b,c, and d for him to go crazy over. black men have these crazy double standards when it comes to beauty. they expect too much from bw,and too little from non bw. because of their RACE or skin color.

As a white man married to an African woman I have to agree that African/ Black woman in general have a very special appeal, I would also agree that what Sophia Loren had was of a similar ilk. I think black women in the modern world seem to be more “woman” than many white women, more in tune with their , i will say womanliness in preference to “femininity” as femininity can have other nuances. Yes many of them have wonderful curvaceous figures, but not all and there are some very svelt black women who are stunning, so I think it must be something deeper than just curves ( after all Marilyn Monroe was all curves, Anita Ekburg, …) The “does appearance make culture or culture make appearance” debate is one that is “way over my pay scale”, but at the risk of being pseudo Freudian, surely all men, black and white, are ultimately descended from a Black Eve, so is it not surprising that we across cultures see black women as the ultimate Mother Figure, a subconcious programming dragging us back to our roots???/
What ever the cause For the last 20 years I have found black women the most beautiful on the planet

Deut 28:68 – Curse put on the Children of Israel
63And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. 64And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. 65And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 68And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt[in Hebrew means bondage/slavery] again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy[in Hebrew means redeem/save] you

I am mixed. My mother is White and Cherokee and my father is mostly Black mixed with some East Indian and Native American. Anyway, all the women on my father’s side of the family are beautiful, more so than on my mother’s side. And actually, their hair is quite long, it’s thick and black(in terms of color) but it grows very well. So not all black women have short hair. Non of my black female relatives wear weaves. My mother used to tell me how envious she was of my cousin’s hair. I’ve seen some very beautiful women from African tribes, no make-up or anything, just natural beauty. I believe that people of every culture are beautiful, it’s a shame most of the world can’t see that and base the standard of beauty on only light-skinned people, especially here in America.

Blackwomen have variety and versatility in their hair, big brown eyes that will melt any man, wide elegant noses, soft kissable lips, beautiful mouth-watering breasts, wide hips, and curvy apple bottoms…The Total Package! Yes, white and asian women have elements of african beauty within them, such as WW from southern europe, persia/arabia, the americas, and asian women from southeast asia and the pacific isles. All three groups of women have african blood in them, and blackwomen have european and asian blood in them as well…Ditto! As blackmen, we love and respect blackwomen first and foremost. The same goes for non-black women as well. If women matter to us as much as we claim, we champion womanhood without apology. Women are a blessing to blackmen, we should never forget that.

Do you know why this site is so important? Because in order to have your beauty recognized, you need to recognize it first. Such a site validates (out loud) what many have always known to be true: BLACK WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL, BECAUSE BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. One would think that in 2014, this would be obvious, but the fact that it has to be stated shows what decades of denigration can do. The white power structure has given its women the best PR promotion in the world. You can’t be mad at the white man for doing that, either. He was looking out for what he considered number one – his interest. It worked well for him. It worked so well that both black men and women bought into it. In fact, non white people all over the world have bought into it. Anyone who doesn’t believe this just has to view the next Miss World or Miss Universe pageant. Most of the countries that feature light skinned women, in the pageant, have a population that is dark skinned. It’s all a matter of who controls the media and beauty image. I appreciate this blog because sometimes it takes a loud: I DON’T AGREE WITH YOUR STANDARDS, to wake people up. I also like it because a lot of people, out there, are jealous and will admire and desire a black woman secretly, yet denounce her publicly.

Indeed.
But you will often here someone describe a black person as having “white features”
or “Asian features”.
But they have it backwards. All “features” are black because African people had them first. The reason we are ignorant of this information is because we get our LANGUAGE from white people and this language is coded to among other things, shift the historical record in support of white people and white supremacy.
This is why a black person with multiple PHDs, 1600 on the SAT and an IQ of 140 can be less productive than an average white person. The language they both use functions in support of the white supremacy system; and by logical progression, white people.
I was in a chat room one time and a mixed race girl described her mother as white and her father as “black as sin”. She didn’t realize what she said because that was the only LANGUAGE she was taught. Indeed, it was the only language I was taught.
But I digress,
Here is a link that describes “features” and their Africa origins.

(BTW; white people already know this and have for some time but they continue to describe black people as having “white features”)

Where does this point of view you have on Black women come from? Did your parents impress the importance of seeing Black women as beautiful upon you from the time you were young? I ask because not all people in our community think this way and am wondering what process separates those who do think this was from those who don’t.
I have two nephews, though my sister classes herself as Black and the family of her husband’s parentage is predominantly Afro Caribbean; one nephew was born with blue eyes, very fair skin and a lighter shade of brown hair. This is what we call “a throw back” in Black families with non Black parentage or grandparentage or greatgrandparentage, and so on and so forth. The family was shocked, and a lot of people fussed over him because of this.
When he reached school age, and began attending a predominantly White school, sometimes he would come home crying about the fact that his hair wasn’t like his friend Tim’s straight hair. Before this, my mum and I would try and push my sister and her husband on the importance of teaching him a sense of pride and beauty about his people as opposed to continually complimenting him on his blue eyes, and whatever other features he has that are associated with Whiteness. We had also noticed that he didn’t seem to show any interest in girls who were not White. After the “my hair’s ugly because it isn’t like Tim’s,” episode, me and my mum began teaching him and his brother (and when she’s older, his sister), about the beauty of his Blackness and the importance of having a great sense of pride in your Blackness. He did a 180 in a short time; he’s in high school now and it may have gone a little too far as he’s not interested in anything but Black girls. But this was a process.
I didn’t have to go through that because my mum raised me with that sense of pride from birth and I also grew up in a 90% Black neighbourhood. My mum is a teacher, and she tends to impress upon her Black/children of colour pupils, the importance of loving and taking pride in your community and seeing your race as beautiful. She notices a difference in them shortly afterward, especially considering that, according to her, most of the White teachers tend to pick on the Black kids, even when they were not the ones who had done anything. And being that most of the kids come from low income neighbourhoods, tough home environments and to top it all off, being put down in school by authority figures who are supposed to support and nurture you, creates a problem with self esteem. Those little nuggets of “love your people,” “love your Black men,” “love your Black women,” “you’re beautiful,” your people did this, that and the other, you’re descended from etc, etc, makes a huge difference in the kids self esteem, focus, and how they treat and relate to one another. (Of course, my mum has to do this privately, through whispers in the earvand whatnot. She might get in trouble for saying things like that too often.) She tends to hook up young Middle Eastern muslim boys and correct them on treating their young girls badly, and impress upon them the importance of seeing value in their female counterpart, as well.
You don’t have to answer if it’s too personal. It’s just that I’ve heard a few Black men and women, on this blog, speak about going through this process, sometimes not until their teens.
What I’m saying is, for a long time, I guess I took it for granted that this process wasn’t necessary just because I was raised around it.

I’ve never said there’s anything wrong with White people having pride in their European history, culture, and race.
I think people get nervous about the term “White pride” because, historically, it has been associated with hate groups like the KKK. Much in the same way the confederate flag, although it represents innocent Southern pride to a number of people who like to adorn their homes or cars with it, (and believe it or not, I have come across White Southerners who’s intentions were really that benign in what the confederate flag meant to them. Not a pro slave trade ideology). But the history of the confederate flag and what it stood for will always cause it to be interpreted as such. But in the context I mentioned, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with “European,” (or as you said), “White pride.” The Swedish Irish side of my family are very proud of their Irish name, heritage, and culture, and they often brag on the Nordic Vikings they’re descended from. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having that kind of pride in your lineage, at all.
