Ketanji Brown Jackson (1970- ) is the first Black woman ever named to the US Supreme Court. If confirmed by the Senate (hearings are now ongoing), she would become the 1st Black woman, Floridian and former public defence lawyer on the Court, the 3rd Black person, and the 6th woman. Of the 115 people who have been on the Court in the past 232 years, 108 or 94% have been White men.
She replaces Justice Stephen Breyer, a fellow Democrat chosen by President Clinton in 1994, so she will not change the 6-to-3 conservative majority. If confirmed she would start on October 3rd 2022, making the liberal minority all-female.
Child porn: You know she is a solid pick because the main thing Republicans have against her is the invented issue that she is soft on child porn. The laws on child porn need to be updated for the Internet age – the fault of Congress – but on sentencing she is no worse than judges the Senate has confirmed before, including herself! She has been confirmed by the Senate three times before, the last time in June 2021.
LSAT scores: Tucker Carlson wants to know what she got on the LSAT, the entrance exam for law school. He apparently thinks she has coasted by on affirmative action (racial quotas) – even though she graduated from Harvard magna cum laude! She was one of the top students at one of the top universities in the nation – unlike Carlson, who has arguably coasted by on his family’s wealth (the Swanson frozen food fortune).
Relative of Paul Ryan: In 2012 Republican Paul Ryan (who married into the Papermate pen fortune) said, “Our politics may differ, but my praise for Ketanji’s intellect, for her character, for her integrity, it is unequivocal.” She is related to him by marriage.
Police approved: she was immediately endorsed by the national Fraternal Order of Police, the labour union for police officers. Her brother and two of her uncles have been police officers. Her brother is a Baltimore police detective.
Unwoke: Despite her more than 500 written decisions, Republicans have been unable to uncover any direct proof that she is “woke” (now a Republican slur for anti-racists) or has been informed by critical race theory. During the Senate hearings she has been talking about the US as if she believes in Apple Pie America, not unlike Obama when he ran for president in 2008. It is hard to believe a grown Black person can be that unworldly. Maybe she is playing to her largely Sheltered White Male audience (senators). Or maybe she has lived a charmed life. Or is just a sell-out.
Originalist: She refuses to speak on her judicial philosophy, but her way of making court decisions is originalism in all but name. She looks at the original meaning of laws, she does not see the constitution as “a living document” to be reinterpreted to change with the times. Originalism comes from slave times, used to preserve slavery, and has been championed by the Federalist Society since the 1980s to overturn abortion laws and preserve plutocracy. She is more of an originalist than even Amy Coney Barrett.

Ketanji Brown Jackson has a history of letting padophiles off almost scott-free, she has given every single one she sentenced the minimum jail time of 3 months & she wrote a paper while a law student that advocated paedophilia being de-criminalised.
Is that why she was chosen ? She’s a total nutter.
I’m not trying to diss her but she is married to a white man. Is she another Candace Owen ?
She has history of showing disdain to black ppl
And Black people have already had a SCOTUS in Clarence Thomas how did that work out ?
I bet her first speech will “What about black on black crime ?”
No black person on the grassroots cares. It’s just black women getting a job

“Is she another Candace Owens?”
I think not. Not even close.
Her being soft on child porn is just a Republican talking point.
Let’s question how she got into Harvard even though she graduated Cum Laude.
The idea that a strong black women would sit on the Supreme Court whoose smarter then the average white male drives them crazy.
She is a civil libertarian.
“In 1996, when Jackson wrote her critique, she was one of the few who foresaw that a new web of laws banishing sex offenders from society would create a banished class of nearly one million, forced to regularly register with police and have their personal information publicly posted for decades and often life. That’s something for which she should get credit, not scorn.”
Similarly her opposion to some workers who filed a class action lawsuit against part of the industrial military complex wasn’t because she supported Lockheed Martin but rather she values the rights of individual workers over what would have been collective compensation for the tragedy of a few.
If it had moved forward all workers would have given up the right to persue specific grivences regarding their own personal employment.
Kenneth W. Mack is a law professor and Affiliate Professor of History at Harvard University who wrote this article that better articles this point of view.

She supports the 2nd amendment.
Black men have just as much right to own a gun as white men do. Gasp.
I think she would make a good Justice.

“Ketanji Brown Jackson has a history of letting padophiles off almost scott-free, she has given every single one she sentenced the minimum jail time of 3 months”
That isn’t exactly true. Admittedly, there is at least one case where she handed down a prison sentence of three months (followed by over six years of supervised release). It’s possible that on the social media grapevine this has been turned into “every single” case. But in actuality, she has also passed longer sentences:

In 2020, she also denied a sex offender compassionate medical release, saying:

I think she is to the right of most Black people, but she is hardly a Clarence or Candace.

Even the conservative periodical National Review pointed out that her sentencing pattern is similar to the majority of judges. The article lists the seven specific cases that Sen. Hawley highlighted. One is the three-month sentence, but in the other cases she handed down prison sentences ranging from 2 years to 6 years:

Don’t be passive. Write what you mean and write it with your chest.
Black people are the only people who practice meritocracy. Where as everybody else is caught in cheating scandals, tutoring scandals, payoff scandals, degree scandals.
You just had a scandal in 2019 were affluent non black parents bribed their way to get admission for their children into America’s most prestigious universities
This white guy Sam Eshaghoff was so out of control with his cheating that he got his own wiki page
They’re letting dumb-ass white students in uni’s all day because of their fathers or uncles. Most blacks applying could run circles around them academically but they would never ever be admitted.
College admissions is nothing but game
They say anything to black students “your application was late” “it got lost” “We don’t like your essay”…………. ANYTHING.
We are taking no one’s spots trust me.
You have a legacy and being a legacy only works if you have a trust fund and your parents have been donating a good % of their annual salary to the school or your dad holds political office or your parents are fortune 500 CEOs, COOs, CFOs or CAOs.
Anyone else, it’s still a crap shot.
It might get your resume an extra 5 second glance but if they see average jobs and medium income zip-code on your application, you can forget about it.
Not mention the fact Universities are always giving out points to kids from white Peninsulas and alumnis
Non blacks hate competing the right way. So they rig the game in their favor. Cheating, nepotism, bribes, favoratism: WHITE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. Now you know how George W. Bush got into and graduated from Yale.
Even when black people do well. Many are still chomping at the bit to explain how this happened.
And black achievment in education is done despite a system with profoundly unstandardized schools, profoundly unstandardized financial resources, profoundly unstandardized teaching training, profoundly unstandardized curriculum.
And then you give the kids what ? A standardized test
And when at the end of that unstandardized process all the kids coming through don’t do equally as well. You say to them (and they will disproportionately be black of low income because those are the ones who are likely to go to the schools without those equal resources) that “You can’t go to that college” “You’re not that smart”
And you the nerve to question the merit of acceptance of a black woman in Harvard ?

White supremacist have always had an little in joke amongst themselves were they give black ppl a fake title. On plantations they were like “Hey there’s Queenie”

Abagond did a post about Obama being a rented negro back in 2013. That’s what she is.
A women called Trojan Pam posted a great comment about power being taken not given, meaning Obama had not power at all. It’s a good read.
So Ketanji is not running in there like “I’m a strong black woman. I’m gonna end the mass incarcercation of blk folk and false imprisonment of blk ppl.
I’m gonna root out all white supremacist beat cops, sergeants, captains, police chiefs and prosecutors who are using sheriff departments as havens and nests were white supremacist can be hired to kill black ppl and the white supremacist district attorney will back them up on

”
That’d be a strong black woman if she did that
But she’s not there to do that.

That proves that she wants child sex offenders anonymity protected and is soft on them.
Nothing will change. Ketanji will still be as soft white sex offenders as has always been.
Black people in America are the only race who don’t have a systematic child sex problem.
Black people ain’t on the dark web exchanging pic and video. Black people ain’t in hollywood. Black people ain’t travelling the world looking for “safe spots”

This is just a tactic to try to get blk ppl to settle. They’re saying “Hey cmon, let’s put a few negro in this or that spot and that’ll calm those negroes down. I mean those negroes like to live vicariously anyway ?”
Let her come and say she will do this.
1) Legislation that will penalise people for calling the police on black people for B.S on a state and federal level.
2) Every state needs to be a hate crime law.
3) A constitutional convention, that is the 13th amendment need to be ratified because that leads to the mass incarceration of black people and fake and unjust imprisonment of black men.
4) Anyone looking to serve as an officer in a blk community should submit to a probationary period of four months. During that time, they would be on the payroll, but they would not have powers of arrest. They would have no gun. Their job would be to get to know the communities and neighborhoods where they seek to serve. Finding out what they want and need from law enforcement.
But she can’t and won’t.

Unfortunately what is not being discussed is her deference to police in qualified immunity cases; her ruling against plaintiffs (22 out of 25 cases) in workplace discrimination; and her refusal to allow a class certification in the Lockheed settlement.

Why do so many blacks have ridiculous names? Ketanji (not recognized as a real name by spellcheck) sounds like a portmanteau of ketamine (inner city drug) and Jumanji (Robin Williams movie)
