The Biden-Trump Debate II (October 22nd 2020) took place in Nashville, Tennessee and was moderated by NBC News journalist Kristen Welker (pictured). It was supposed to be the third US presidential debate of 2020 but wound up being the only one worthy of the name: in the first debate Trump would not follow the rules and in the second one he chickened out. There are no more debates after this. Joe Biden and Donald Trump now head into the home stretch, with Election Day 12 days away (November 3rd).
For me as a voter, living in the the US in 2020 in the middle of a pandemic that is still out of control, the moment that crystallized the debate came 14 minutes in:
JOE BIDEN: And by the way, this [Trump] is the same fellow who told you, “This is going to end by Easter” last time. This is the same fellow who told you that, “Don’t worry, we’re going to end this by the summer.” We’re about to go into a dark winter, a dark winter and he has no clear plan. And there’s no prospect that there’s going to be a vaccine available for the majority of the American people before the middle of next year.
KRISTEN WELKER: President Trump, your reaction. He says, you have no plan.
DONALD TRUMP: I don’t think we’re going to have a dark winter at all. We’re opening up our country.
Trump a few minutes before:
“And as I say, we’re rounding the turn. We’re rounding the corner. It’s going away.”
Trump nine months ago (January 22nd):
“we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”
In March I was not surprised that the US was caught flat-footed by the pandemic. Its history is punctuated with events like that: Pearl Harbor. Sputnik. 9/11. What did surprise me, appall me, was that after a few months the US still did not have its act together. And that the president seemed so unconcerned after 200,000 American lives had been lost. Not Iraqi lives or Vietnamese lives, but American lives.
BIDEN: Anyone is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America.
But, but, but….
But Hunter Biden’s laptop! As Trump and Fox News “personalities” tell it, this is the main threat to the nation. Hunter Biden is Joe Biden’s son. A computer laptop, which even Fox News says is only “purported” to be his, and which NBC News is not allowed to see a copy of, supposedly proves that Hunter Biden used his father’s position as US vice president to make millions from China, that Joe Biden himself is beholden to the Chinese Communist Party. Oh, and child porn. Or something like that.
The scandal cannot breathe on its own outside the Republican Bubble. Trump and Fox News have told so many lies that it is probably just another lie.
And of course, there was this:
TRUMP: I am the least racist person in this room.

The Hunter Biden thing seemed weird even before the laptop because of Hunter Biden’s addiction issues and his apparent lack of qualification for the job as a board member in Ukraine. The fact that V.P Biden pressured Ukraine to fire the prosecutor who was investigating the company with which his son was associated added another dimension to it. Trump was so tantalized by the setup that he concocted the scheme for which he was impeached in an attempt to blow up the possible scandal.
My take is that Hunter Biden does seem like a shady character even without the emails but the emails do not provide conclusive evidence that V.P Biden was helping his son by getting the prosecutor fired. The optics aren’t great but the V.P said it was American foreign policy and nobody in the administration has disputed that. The cynic that I am, I’m not 100% convinced that it was all entirely aboveboard but I also don’t believe that Trump, Giuliani et al are trustworthy reporters of fact.
Anyway, Trump really wants to repeat 2016’s playbook but the difference now is that he’s the incumbent. This time he has a record to defend. And his mishandling of COVID-19 has probably hurt his chances. Trump was planning to campaign on the “great” economy and he had such tunnel vision that he downplayed the public health threat that the coronavirus represented. So the economy ended up in tatters anyway, and he also has hundreds of thousands of dead Americans to account for.
Trump will not want to take the blame for chaos wrought by the virus but he actually squandered an opportunity. Leaders who have handled the pandemic competently have seen their citizens return them to power in subsequent elections, sometimes with overwhelming victories (New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern comes to mind). Trump preferred to lie about it. Unfortunately for him, a virus is completely unfazed by that.

So is Hunter Biden’s laptop going to be a thing like Hillary Clinton’s emails? The GOP just needs to be burned down. It and all off it’s spineless Senators, and all of Trump’s sycophant enablers and the whole MAGA. cult has destroyed the country. And we are still in a pandemic that will kill more Americans this winter.

“ I am the least racist person in the room” Abagond, I would be interested to know what your thoughts are on the energy between Black men and women voting especially with the Ice Cube dust up on social media? What has Trump done for Black Americans? I feel for Alice Johnson who Trump pardoned and she is no longer incarcerated, but she has to be used as a prop. Rich Black entertainers like 50 Cents will not have a problem if Trump is re-elected and will vote for him because he will lower their taxes. In the meantime the Black community will be affected by Covid-19 and will face unemployment and evictions and food deserts. When America catches a cold, Black Americans, especially the poor working class catch pneumonia.

In the 70’s Trump would not allow Black people to live in his buildings. Trump called for the exonerated young Black the one Brown man known as the Central Park Five to be executed. He dog whistled to white supremacist terrorist groups to “ Stand by and Stand Down.” Yet he fixed his mouth to say he’s the least racist person in the room.

abagond, honestly in this issue you’re a dishonest fraud. You should be ashamed of yourself.
No one in the Biden campaign HAS EVER DENIED THE EMAILS ARE REAL. Multiple recipients have testified that they are real e-mails, so they can’t actually deny e-mail authenticity. Look at the denials being made, it’s all “that’s been debunked”, “that’s Russian disinformation”–including referencing statements by partisan bureaucrats who never reviewed the e-mails for authenticity. They never specifically say the e-mails aren’t real because they can’t.
The e-mails show real corruption beyond Burisma. China is the big deal. The Biden family made at least 10s of millions of dollars from China. Hunter Biden said he had to give half his salary to “Pops”. Hunter saved a 10% interest in a China JV worth 10s of millions for “the big guy”.
Biden is owned by China (they have sexually compromising stuff with his son and likely him too involving underage Chinese girls, though the media, even Fox, have chosen not to bring those up) and is willing to sell out the US as long as he thinks he can get away with it.
If you still think it’s preferable to have a literal traitor, who in a different era would get hanging, as the president rather than someone who seriously offends your sensibilities at least admit it.
Given that Dr. Fauci (a Democrat) was telling people not to worry about the coronavirus as late as February and not to use masks till later than that… and given that about 40% of the fatalities came from nursing homes in 5 states (including NY, CA and MI) where Democrat governors forced nursing homes to take in Covid patients, I don’t see how a democrat Pres would have done better. Biden would never have done a travel ban on China. He couldn’t because China owns him.

No. I just use my head. I have known about Trump and Biden since the 1980s. I do not like either one, but the idea that Biden is way more corrupt than Trump is laughable. After all, it is Trump who refuses to show us his tax returns, not Biden. Think on that.
An underlying assumption in many of your comments is that I deep-down secretly agree with you but just do not want to admit it. No. It is not like that. Not even remotely. The Trumpian/Carlsonian propaganda you spew is not just unmoored from reality, which would be bad enough, but it is, to me, repellent. Viscerally. Because it glorifies racists and bullies, people I have not been a fan of since at least age 11.

Awesome, more censorship would be great! Since there are no Republicans here, let’s get rid of the one that would advocate for that viewpoint and we can call him a “contrarian” troll as justification. Great. Yahoo turned off their comments “temporarily” a few months before the election. Maybe abagond could do the same just to help make sure there’s no “disinformation” out there.
abagond, if you said, “I understand that Joe Biden is on the take from China to the tunes of 10s of millions of dollars (as these e-mails clearly show) and might change US policy vis a vis our biggest geopolitical rival because of that BUT, I still believe Trump is worse because RACIST”, I wouldn’t call you dishonest. It’s a ridiculous position to me, but I can at least understand it. Instead you said, “Trump and Fox News have told so many lies that it is probably just another lie.” What part of the e-mails do you believe to be fake specifically? If The e-mails aren’t real, why isn’t Biden showing specifically how that they are fake and that the people who were purported to receive them never did?
To quote Biden, “Come on man!”
There’s 0 upside in Trump releasing his tax returns. They would show that he used existing tax law to pay as little as possible (in real estate, there are tons of write offs). This is what every multi-millionaire does on the advice of their tax lawyers. It’s 100% legal, but normies wouldn’t understand, and since he has many many business deals, opposition would go over everything with a fine toothed comb. There’s no law that a candidate has to release their taxes–it’s longstanding tradition no doubt, but Trump broke a lot of traditions.
Trump gets audited by the IRS every year, and no doubt faces extra scrutiny since bureaucrats hate him, but he hasn’t been arrested for tax fraud. The Mueller guys spent 40+ millionf US tax dollars trying to find evidence of foreign collusion and came up with zilch. If the roles had been reversed, Trump 100% gets impeached for what his son did (if his son did what Hunter Biden did in collusion with his dad). So no, there’s no evidence that Trump is remotely as corrupt as Biden.

Agreed. However, he presents himself as being well-educated and highly intelligent, often in a condescending manner — all of which seems to fit the description. (Also, according to old-timers like Sharina, he used to argue more intelligently than he is doing now.) Note that the quote says Sophist trolls “fancy themselves Enlightened Philosophers or Learned Experts of the highest order.” No requirement that this is anything more than their fancy!
“Most telling is when a commenter refutes biff with verifiable facts, he will “ghost” the forum for number of days instead of presenting counterarguments. Then he will return playing his list of favorite hits from the “Broken Record Department”.”
Exactly. This behavior strikes me as an attempt to derail threads and get people to argue on topics of his choosing. It disrupts the conversations that would otherwise be happening on a black-centric blog. On the run-up to a crucial election, he has derailed threads into arguments like whether black people are innately unintelligent and sinful, white supremacist bull hockey that should have been put to rest long ago. His behavior seems calculated to me.

You accuse me of this:
“On the run-up to a crucial election, he has derailed threads into arguments like whether black people are innately unintelligent and sinful.” That’s untrue and ridiculous. I’ve repeatedly said I have no interest in trying to speak for God and that I won’t speculate as to reasons for Him making some taller or stronger or smarter than others (on average). You try to win points by forcing me into corners (in your mind) and moving the discussion to those topics. YOU are the one who is derailing threads with this. This is projection.
Your idea of “ghosting” is when I don’t respond to all the tangents you (and other commentators) bring up because I don’t feel they are productive–and often I end up having to respond to 3-5 different commentators (and there’s only one of me).
I’m here making a point about the Biden e-mails (something directly relevant to Abagond’s post above). What is the evidence they aren’t real e-mails and couldn’t Biden easily shoot them down by showing they were never sent in specific cases, showing Hunter was no where near Delaware on the day the laptop was signed for, and showing that Hunter’s lawyer never called the shop to ask for “his client’s laptop” back?
They have done none of this and haven’t even specifically denied the authenticity of the e-mails or pics or videos of Hunter (which have metadata–location and time–included in them).
If the e-mails are real, this should be the biggest political scandal in decades, yet somehow because the media completely ignores it and tries to censor it, it’s not…
Those are the major points I’m bringing up.
You never want to talk about my major points, which tend to be more relevant to thread topics than what you choose to focus on. Recently, you want to talk about specifics on how to get the economy opened up while protecting the very vulnerable? I’m not interested in switching topics to that when no one even tries to respond to my central points (if you really cared, you could research how Sweden, Japan and Korea have done things).
When I don’t behave the way you want, you try to get me banned. Most of the time, abagond strikes me as reasonable and honest, which is why I call out the dishonesty, when I see it — saying “because Fox lies a lot this is probably a lie too” without any further details about the e-mails’ authenticity doesn’t cut it.
Again, if you guys want to say yes Biden is a grifter on the take from China, and would probably influence our foreign policy accordingly, but he’s still better than Trump, you can make that argument, but assuming he’d get impeached right after the election (as OMO did) is wishful thinking.

Whether Biff should be banned should be left up to black commentators here not the white ones.
I’m going to be making an argument that maybe some commenters are not seeing. Hopefully I’m wrong about this.
I think the election is going to be close. If Trump does win I think it will be because some voters will be voting for the person who will “open up the economy”.
The deaths from Codvit remain largely hidden from society. You are not seeing hospitals over flowing or dead school kids ect.
Everyone knows someone who has died from it but usually they will also say that the person was old and had other medical issues as well.
But the restrictions on the economy in most places is taking a toll on people and that is something they can see.
So there is a sense that Biden will “follow science” and shut more of the economy down.
Personally I dont think Biden will do that. They are a center right corporate friendly ticket and will likely declare Codvit to be “less deadly then first thought” and move towards opening things back up with some mandatory precautions.
Regardless the Democrats need to be careful with their rhetoric about what they are going to do to fix Trump’s mismanagement.
The L.A. Times ran artical about a local evangelical mega church that defied California State guidelines and held church services anyway over the last couple of months. The head line was that the church had a “spike” but when you read the article you see that three people out of their 7000 person congregation contracted Codvit so somehow that’s a “spike”.
Its this kind of BS reporting that makes people reconsider who they are going to vote for.

Sober and insightful thoughts.
The experience of other countries shows that you’ll have always this tension between opening up the economy versus block the spread of the virus as much as you can. Societies swing between one and the other, always trying to find a balance. There is no perfect solution.
Another thing that Obama has tried recently to call attention to: to face the virus will always be hard. One consequence of this is that if Biden wins, much of the heat now directed to the current POTUS, will be then redirected to him. He must be ready to that.

Then there is the issue of trust as a major factor in people complying with public health policies during the pandemic.

Regarding the giant scandal around the emails. Why is the argument even over whether or not they are real? Assume they are. Now what? Show me the money, show me the policy changed via Chinese influence. Biff, I literally scoured right-wing websites, even some over-the-top ones trying to find specifics on money Joe Biden received in exchange for favorable policy changes that were inconsistent with the policies of his boss. I seriously couldn’t find anything. You want to say Obama was too naive and friendly with US/China relations allowing them to take advantage of us and we should be worried Biden would continue those strategies? OK, there may be political merit to that. But claiming that these emails show how Joe Biden sold out the United States for personal profits is just as disingenuous as claiming the emails are fake because foreign operatives likely had a hand in bringing them to light.

In fact, I’ve heard plenty of conversations among hard-core Trump supporters that parrot the exact same things. Not only are many of the arguments stretching the truth if not objectively false, the Democrat viewpoints they throw up as targets are frustratingly false assumptions / projections.

Regarding the debate itself: Personally, I think it was a win for Trump. The news cycle following the debate wasn’t about what a joke he is. Instead, it was about how normal he could behave. The bar was set so low that people literally tuned in hoping to see his mouth moving while he was muted and they were disappointed.
I personally saw yard signs disappear after the 1st debate. Maybe that was an indicator of increasing voter apathy showing some of his supporters might’ve just stayed home… maybe not. But, the second debate reminded them that Trump could behave like a grownup. The yard signs are still gone but, if Trump can whip up enough fear of a Biden presidency, and the lines aren’t too long, they might just be guilted into getting their “I Voted” sticker selfie for Facebook.

OK, so like a dozen comments I could respond to. I’ll need to respond selectively and efficiently.
First, AGAIN no one except OMO even made any comment on the underlying e-mails and whether they are legit or what they mean. At some level most of you get it, but you don’t want to allow yourselves to think you are being traitorous by voting for a known traitor.
OMO thinks the corruption didn’t change policy (he doesn’t care about interfering in a country’s personal business to get a prosecutor who happens to be investigating his son’s company fired). Of course the policy at the time was very pro-China and shipped tens of millions of jobs overseas. There should have been pushback on that, but there wasn’t. When you’re bought off you tend not to push back. However, a lot of this China stuff happened after Trump was in the Whitehouse. The reason of course is that the Chinese wanted to control the Presidency in the event that Biden won. It’s much cheaper for them to pay tens of millions to the Bidens than to lose hundreds of billions to an America first trade policy. The key issue, other than the Bidens being traitorous scum, is that they would be compromised and controllable.
BTW, OMO, maybe you live in a different world, but where I am only liberals flaunt their “I Voted” stickers. But I agree that the second debate went a lot better for Trump than the first one. His instinct is to attack, but he did much better letting Biden go on speaking and show himself for the senile fool he is.

You’ve said, “Four days you dug in your heels and told me over and over again that I was racially inferior.” Again, this is ridiculous. As I think we noted earlier, I don’t even know what race you are. I didn’t even ask, cause I don’t care. I have no interest (or anything to benefit) from attacking you personally.
There’s enough of this from you, that, yes, I question your honesty/good faith in arguments and often choose not to continue them with you.
Re: Covid, I just googled Sweden numbers, cases spiked a little, but FATALITIES ARE ALMOST AT 0 and have been for a long time. I did the same for the US. US cases are near all time high (because of better testing?), but LATEST FATALITIES ARE DOWN 85%+ FROM ALL TIME HIGHS. This is great news and should be what the headlines are about. If there are many cases, but very few fatalities that’s the way to build herd immunity. We’ve been locked down for 7+ months now. As Michael Barker noted, average people don’t want to live like this long term. We need to get the economy moving again. People need jobs and they need gyms, parks and the occasional restaurant. (His comment that only black people should decide if I get banned is ridiculous though, but shows a certain SJW mindset. It’s abagond’s blog, so he decides, but also I’m being accused of being a “contrarian troll”, not of attacking black people specifically.)
Re: mask wearing, I’ve always been a proponent. Asian countries have a history and habit of mask use (largely pollution related) and they had a decent supply on hand because of that. The medical authorities (not Trump) were saying we shouldn’t use masks here initially. Of course, the real reason was that we didn’t even have enough masks for medical workers. Everything medical (including most drugs) for the US has been manufactured in China–and they decided to take care of themselves first during the pandemic. That shouldn’t be the case, but Biden wouldn’t rock that boat. I imagine many of you saw the video of this Chinese woman buying up masks in the US to send back to China.. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Luc_bbQuqjE) Many many people did that. That’s the situation we found ourselves in at the beginning of the pandemic. Companies like 3M (a US owned company) making all their masks abroad.. pretty disgraceful. Biden ain’t going to fix that.
I don’t know if you guys have been seeing these latest salacious drops re: the Bidens’ sexual proclivities, but thats’ going to be an interesting First Family. Crack-aided incest in the Oval Office? Why not? Come on man! At least Biden ain’t orange.

I agree with Open Minded Observer. No reason to repeat what he’s already said so well. I believe Afrofem has also commented on this topic, but you ignored her as seems to be your wont.
I also think it’s very interesting how many of these accusations against Biden mirror those about Trump, including the reason he was impeached and the rumors about senility, drugs, incest, and foreign governments having blackmail video of sex acts.
“We’ve been locked down for 7+ months now.”
We have NEVER been fully locked down. There were states that never issued a shelter-in-place order. There are still states that don’t have a mask requirement.
“Again, this is ridiculous. As I think we noted earlier, I don’t even know what race you are. I didn’t even ask, cause I don’t care”
You didn’t ask, but you most definitely made an assumption, which you tried to weasel out of later but in the process admitted to it:

Just to be clear, this is what you said that supposedly has nothing to do with racism:

Re: mirroring stuff against Trump, again it’s projection. It’s why Trump gets impeached for looking into proven Biden corruption in Ukraine when the FBI and CIA don’t do their job (turns out they are all in the tank for the establishment too)… and yeah, show me the tangible evidence that show Trump or Trumps kids have been doing crack and boinking family members.

I said I agree with Open Minded Observer. I don’t recall where he stated that, especially the compromised part.
“Where I live has been pretty much fully locked down.. and it really really sucks for my family and many others.”
Are you allowed to leave your house any time you want without first applying for and getting official approval? Then you’re not fully locked down.
“As I mentioned, there are White SJWs who seem to hate Western Civ. Maybe they are LGBTQ+ or fat with purple hair or just proud satanists.”
As I mentioned, no one says “no matter how much Whites bend over backwards to give you a place at the table” in those circumstances, because it makes no sense. That phrase clearly assumes a difference in race.
Furthermore, hating Western Civilization is not the same as being unable to “claim ownership of Western Civilization” which was the way you first phrased it to me. And when Abagond asked you on that thread to define Western Civ, you provided a video which explicitly and unequivocally said Western Civilization is the creation of white people only.
“Anyway, the point is I’m not trying to make any insults about supposed racial inferiority directly at you.”
Which is why you began with, “Solitaire, you don’t feel “ in answer to this question I asked you: “Could you please explain to me what this jealousy is that I supposedly feel?” You don’t think your response, which began with my handle and purported to describe my feelings, was directed personally at me in that context?
“I do know you consistently support the side that is advocating for evil and make light of those actually supporting a Satanic agenda.”
Because saying that black lives matter is evil?
I’ve already told you I don’t support violent protest or looting. I’ve already told you I don’t worship Satan. You talk about good faith, but here you won’t do me the common courtesy of taking me at my word.

This thread is about the debate and related stuff–Trump and Biden, not you and me. Yet you keep driving stuff back to God and insulting Him and His Creation. You can show me where in the Bible it says that God made all groups of people exactly the same, and I’ll respond on another thread when I have time–no need to derail this one. We’ve had this discussion many times. You shall know a tree by its fruit. BLM the concept is fine in theory and sounds good, but the actual organization and what it’s doing is based on Marxist lies. When their actions lead to more violence, especially more black deaths from getting police out of black neighborhoods its clear saving black lives isn’t their main goal (organizationally).
The traffic thing is not about me specifically, it’s about having diversity of opinion and discussion of ideas. It happens to be true. For whatever reason, I don’t see many others on this site with diverse opinions these days (there were more back in the day)..

You were the one who first introduced the accusation of evilness and going against God back in the summer. It was not originally directed at me but at Abagond, where you accused him of being on the side of evil and of satanists. Like I said, those types of accusations do not strike me as good faith arguments. If you are going to bring in religious value judgments, you should not be surprised when others respond in the same vein.
“the articles you posted are fair, but they are standard hit pieces on a candidate and don’t evidence corruption. What Biden is accused of, including the cover up, is much much more serious and could properly be called treason.”
The providence of the evidence against Biden was so suspect that the Wall Street Journal hesitated over publishing it, because their fact-checking and due diligence wasn’t turning up the kind of independent confirmation they needed to move ahead with the story.
Also, two of the articles I linked to are more than two years old, so it’s a stretch to label them as standard hit pieces on a candidate. My main point in linking to them was to demonstrate that Trump, his family, and his businesses have and continue to profit from cheap Chinese labor.

Yes, the laptop is quite a story, so it’s understandable that the WSJ would want to be careful. However, now since a third independent source has come forward (including two Hunter Biden associates) to verify the e-mails, there have been multiple WSJ stories on this and the related media cover up. I’m sure that is what finally changed your mind to believing that Biden is a corrupt traitor.
Yes, I’m sure Trump businesses do some manufacturing in China because everyone else does, just as rich Dems who say tax me more don’t actually pay extra taxes before the laws are changed–but my MAGA hat is made in America at least–not sure about other paraphernalia. As discussed, there are lots of things (including most drugs and medical devices) that aren’t even made in American anymore, so it’s a process to bring that capability back.
If we’re talking about Antifa and BLM riots and looting, which you guys defend, I stand by my assertion that that’s based on evil. I’ve made those points many times, so I’m not sure why you’d want to rehash them, other than to deflect from Biden’s corruption here.

Sure it’s the Vice President’s job to fire prosecutors in small foreign countries who happen to be investigating their son’s firm, right after their son’s firm says they need Joe Biden to do it and after a meeting between Joe Biden and company rep. That’s totally normal–and no need for him to ever disclose that. My bad–must be Russian disinfo. And I’m sure being bought and paid for by China is totally normal too.. fine for him to be taking 50% of his son’s salary and to have an interest in a huge Chinese partially State-owned joint venture “held by H for the big guy”.
You probably don’t want to see it, but there’s videos showing Hunter engaging in sexual activities with his 14-year old niece while smoking crack (with corroborating texts)–he was banging her mother too (right after her husband, Hunter’s brother, died). There’s also a diary from Joe Biden’s daughter explaining she had inappropriate showers with Joe as a kid and had other abuse she vaguely remembers, and now she happens to be a druggie and a sex addict. I’ll wait for you to condemn the pervy statements he’s made about his own daughter:
2004 on Howard Stern’s show: Trump said it was fine by him to call Ivanka “a piece of ass.”
2006 on national TV: “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter perhaps I’d be dating her.”
2015 magazine interview: “If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father….”
“not those shouting “pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon” about police officers as BLM was previously famous for”
I do condemn such chants, but you are wrong in implying that these weren’t rare events by a handful of people that got blown out of proportion in an attempt to smear BLM.
Kyle Rittenhouse will have his day in court, at which point we will see whether his self-defense claim stands up. Although you refuse to recognize it, he was definitely breaking at least one law that night before he ever shot anyone: illegal possession of a firearm under Wisconsin state law. As much as you want to downplay it, that’s still a law and he was still in violation of it.
The presence of his group there that night was quite possibly also illegal:

Did you know that the number of black babies killed by abortion in the US this year is higher than the total number of US Covid dead? For a lot of people, this ongoing murder is a big deal.
There are tons of Republicans who dislike Trump personally, but vote for him because the Democratic option has been even more immoral.
abagond + Solitaire, We actually went over all this before and, before these latest scandals broke, I showed how Joe Biden (who committed adultery with his current wife while she was still married and who literally had to drop out of previous White House bids because he got caught in lies) was at least as personally immoral as Trump. Now, it’s not even a contest, given what has recently been revealed about Biden.
Comparing Trump’s comments about his daughter being hot, which are weird no doubt, to the Biden outright incest doesn’t pass the smell test.
Also, you can site Wapo and NYT disinformation pieces as much as you want, but they never deny the authenticity of the underlying e-mails and texts or that the laptop was Hunters. Kim Strassel was on Tucker last night saying the WSJ has confirmed that e-mails are legit.
Anyway, again I’ve made my points, which have not been refuted, so no point in citing something that doesn’t actually say the e-mails are false.

Which thread? I don’t remember this.
The adultery accusation appears to be a he-said-she-said situation between Jill Biden and her first husband. She says that the divorce papers had already been filed and they were separated when she had her first date with Joe Biden, about two months before the divorce was finalized. The ex has recently come out of the woodwork to say otherwise, but he’s a convict (federal fraud and passing bad checks = dishonesty) and is currently shopping a biography to publishers, so his motives are suspect.
As far as the lying? Trump’s current count of lies told just during his first term in office is astronomical. He is and has always been a habitual and compulsive liar. It is a testament to the degradation of the Republican Party that this character flaw did not doom his presidential bid.

Look, you’re obviously going to see it how your boy is presenting it but, if you actually do your research, you’d learn that it was in fact Biden’s job as the one Obama tasked with implementing his Ukraine foreign policy to encourage the country to replace corrupt prosecutors who refused to investigate corrupt politicians. You’d learn that the Burisma investigation wasn’t actually going anywhere and that Shokin was likely taking bribes from them and everyone else. You’d also be supported in your claims of Hunter’s involvement and the Obama administration’s (including Joe Biden at the time) alleged knowledge of Burisma corruption and how awkward it made pursuing anti-corruption foreign policy in Ukraine. What you wouldn’t find is evidence that Joe Biden himself profited or even influenced Obama’s policies that he was tasked with carrying out. At least the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs couldn’t when Republican Sen. Grassley tried. I’ve read the report… have you?. If you’re privy to information the Senate isn’t, I’d very much appreciate you sharing it for the benefit of the country.
Perhaps the most damning thing to come out of either debate is Joe Biden saying he is proud of Hunter. That kid is a piece of work and likely only walking free due to everyone he’s wrapped up in business with.
Regarding the National Review “bombshell” that’s bouncing around in your echo-chamber right now… and yes, I spent over an hour tracking sources and trying to identify anything that could be corroborated by any additional source… I’ll wait to see Ashley herself verify that one. No, not an audio recording the source claims is Ashley but, the actual Ashley Biden.
Since you’re into conspiracies, have you considered how easy it would be to send emails from a drug addict’s computer? I mean seriously, how hard could it be to get an under-aged girl in the room with him to get him high or distracted enough to be oblivious as she opens the door to foreign agents who manipulate his communications? LOL.. I’m kidding… or am I?
You go on dismissing Trump’s known relationship with Epstein and beauty pageant dressing room visits, puss-grabbing commentary, infidelity payoffs, and rape lawsuits… not to mention how much his own family and businesses are profiting off the actual taxpayers (nevermind foreign money, the Trump family is taking mine) and I’ll go ahead and assume that just because Hunter is allegedly garbage it doesn’t mean Joe isn’t the least corrupt and molesty candidate in the room.

Speaking of Ashley Biden….
“There’s also a diary from Joe Biden’s daughter explaining she had inappropriate showers with Joe as a kid and had other abuse she vaguely remembers, and now she happens to be a druggie and a sex addict.”
As Open Minded Observer stated above, there is at present no verifiable evidence that the journal was written by Ashley Biden. I’ve read the diary pages available on the internet, and there is no information contained in those passages that identifies the author as a member of the Biden family.
Ashley Biden has spent the majority of her adult life as a social worker. One of her accomplishments was implementing “a program called SWAGG: Student Warriors Against Guns and Gangs, endorsed by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, which provides educational resources and community-based support groups aimed at eliminating violent crimes and gang activity among youth in New Castle County” — the type of intervention with high-risk kids that you claim to support. She appears to be a productive member of society who is dedicated to helping others.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Biden
She was arrested once for possession of marijuana when she was 17, over 20 years ago. Ten years later, someone tried to sell a video that allegedly showed her snorting cocaine; this may or may not have been real. I can find no other substantiated accounts of her drug use, only wild conjecture and hearsay on alt-right and Q-anon websites.
I can’t find anything at all that supports your contention about Ashley Biden being a sex addict.
If that diary is in fact hers, then what you and your compatriots are doing so gleefully is outing a survivor of child sexual abuse.
Outing a survivor without permission is reprehensible. It can cause serious emotional trauma to the survivor and potentially be life-threatening.
But it didn’t even occur to you that a survivor of child sexual abuse has a right to determine if, when, where, and how that abuse is made public.
Either that, or you just didn’t care that you were re-victimizing her. Disgusting!
I haven’t had time to read up on the allegations about Hunter’s niece, but it’s safe to say in that case you are either slandering an innocent teenager or forcibly outing another victim.

I’m not posting links to Pr0N here, but there’s a video showing him getting a foot job while smoking crack by someone whose voice and phone matches up with his niece’s and there are texts directly referencing that inappropriate relationship and indicating Joe Biden knew about his daughter in law’s concerns about it. You can do some detective work and I’m sure you can find them. (OMO, I doubt this girl, still underage, is going to make any public statement on this).
I don’t believe Trump is a serial rapist. He’s an alpha and a philanderer no doubt, but he had no need to assault anyone. I doubt you understand or respect the sociosexual hierarchy, so there’s probably no point in arguing that. Biden is much less of an alpha–incidentally, the assault allegation against him is pretty credible because it was made at the time (the victim’s mom called in anonymously), while 20-30 year old allegations against Trump suddenly made by Trump haters after he became a presidential candidate are much less credible.
I discussed relative morals of Trump and Biden on the Kamala Harris thread a couple months back–not sure if anywhere else.
Anyway, the Bobulinksi interview is worth watching, as its simple and compelling proof of Joe’s direct involvement in the grift:
https://topnewsshow.com/tucker-carlson-tonight-10-27-20-fox-news/
I don’t think these other allegations against Trump are qualitatively the same. He wasn’t selling out the country the way the Bidens were. And the media has been giving the Trumps a 4-year long proctological exam, while blacking out anything back on the Bidens. If the media were giving Biden the same scrutiny that Trump has gotten, I think Biden would have had to drop out of the race.
You’re free to disagree with that, but hopefully you all can at least agree that the media’s blackout of these recent revelations, in an attempt to influence an election, is reprehensible.

On top of that, as Afrofem and others have pointed out, you seem to have a moral double standard, sounding the alarm about the evils of the left while giving a pass to the right for much the same or worse behaviour.

Eh, I don’t have the time or desire to try responding to all the weird counterarguments you all throw up. I know I won’t convince you guys personally. That’s fine. If a couple of your readers come and have second thoughts about the Narrative then that may be something worthwhile.
The Narrative is the one the elites and media try to tell about the country. You basically parrot these talking points.. for instance not recognizing the death of Floyd was manufactured controversy (purposely not letting out body cam tape that largely exonerated the cops–showed Floyd was acting crazy, super high, resisting arrest and saying he couldn’t breathe long before he was taken down for months while cities burned–not caring at all about the many people who died because of their irresponsibility) or recognizing that BLM is actually a communist affiliated Satanic group.
Maybe you actually believe the country is getting better and things are getting better for average people, but if so you’re so obtuse there’s no point in continuing discussions. There’s a reason “Make America Great Again” resonates with voters and it’s not because things have been going great… and life opportunities are better than ever for young people.
Donald Trump has personal flaws of course, but the Dems are the party of pure evil at this point. You ignore completely the 10s of millions killed by abortion. The signature issue of “social justice” results in practice in less equality and more division, see e.g., the thousands killed by the Ferguson effect and hundreds killed even this year in increased violence. Letting in illegal immigrants destroys the middle class and benefits the very wealthy/elites.
Christian morality has been thrown out and a false god of “equality” created. People are literally bending the knee to this idol. The left supports all kinds of sexual immorality and degeneracy–next thing will be normalizing pedophilia. They are trying to turn the country into a third world country demographically and trying to tear down all the founding values of the country, including getting rid of the first and second amendments–and yes plenty of people talking about taking down Lincoln’s statue–particularly the one in DC where he’s emancipating a former slave. Most recently you’ve seen calls to get rid of police, wanton violence and destruction and burning of Bibles… How can it get any clearer? The Republican party and Trump are far from perfect, but they are trying to stop the current insanity.
You’ll all be shocked when there’s a huge, unprecedented collapse within the next couple decades I’m sure. Maybe much sooner. But you don’t have eyes to see, so nothing I describe to you matters… It’s just sad because the globalist elites will only make your lives worse, but somehow they’ve convinced you of the opposite..

abagond and that other commenter, it’s ridiculous to compare the serious BLM/Antifa protest damage to what a few weird white dudes may have done. I had never heard anything serious about the “Boogaloo Bois” until a few minutes ago when I watched some new clip.. dudes wearing hawaiian shirts and defending BLM/Antifa because they hate the police. That’s not even right wing. I only saw a couple times people on right wing threads laughing about leftists imagining that was right was about. Right wing folks support law and order and the rank and file police, though they may be against big government with communist overtones.
Seriously, so called “white supremacists” commit very little crime (murder included), and overall Black vs. White violent crime is 10X the reverse. So enough with these false equivalences. The Proud Boys have many non-Whites and gays in their leadership. And they don’t go around breaking stuff and shooting people.
Again, I don’t see the point in rehashing that issue. I just wanted to see if there was any response to the Biden corruption revelations, but it seems you guys accept it but still intend to support him to the bitter end.
I just referenced Tara Reade above: ” Biden is much less of an alpha–incidentally, the assault allegation against him is pretty credible because it was made at the time (the victim’s mom called in [to Larry King Live] anonymously)”.
OMO, re: the Biden diary scandal, my take is different. If the diary is not real, Ashley, an adult now, should step up and say it, show it is forged, etc. It would help her dad a lot, as it would, rightly or wrongly, cast a shadow over other claims against the family
The Biden family silence (i.e., failure to dispute the credibility of specific documents) speaks volumes..

Technically, this thread is about the second Presidential debate.
Brandon Caserta, one of the White supremacists who plotted to kidnap and murder Michigan’s governor, is a garden variety criminal with anti-government leanings. His orientation is summed up by this comment in the Detroit News:
To Caserta, since Trump “works” for the government he is an enemy. Apparently he is too thick headed to know the difference between “working for the government” and heading the executive branch of the government.
quelle surprise!
There are no FBI crime statistics that support the allegation of “Black vs. White violent crime is 10X the reverse”. That particular bit of disinformation you love to trot out ad nauseum was revealed to be false months ago.
As far as the, “the Biden crime family’s treason and incest/pedophilia” allegations go, you have not produced one shred of credible evidence to back up your claims. As usual. Just a lot of hot air conspiracy theories and kitchen sink “factoids”. No evidence, just gossip. No more believable than a bunch of geezers sitting in front of a general store spinning tall tales and spitting tobacco juice into tin cans.

“there are texts directly referencing that inappropriate relationship and indicating Joe Biden knew about his daughter in law’s concerns about it.”
I had already seen those. There is no proof the texts are real, and no names given of the alleged victim and her mother. There are other possible interpretations of those texts that are just as feasible.

Thank you for yet another reminder that you are spreading salacious rumors about a minor child. If the rumors are false, you are burdening her with lies to live down among her peers. Once again you’re defending obvious evil. The e-mails, pictures, videos, texts and testimonies have not even been specifically contradicted by any of the Bidens. There’s no credible claim that they are fake (and how they came to light–it’s clear the FBI chose to sit on them, but even the FBI has not said they are fakes–shouldn’t matter if they are real).
You cite the editor of a nominally Christian magazine that is progressive and supports anti-Biblical evil like abortion and homosexuality as evidence that QAnon is bad. I haven’t even referenced QAnon in any of my arguments and it has no relationship to the thread or the issue of the Bidens’ treason and pedophilia/incest.
You cite leftist Wikipedia with quotes from the hate group, domestic terrorism supporting, ADL about the Proud Boys. Antifa/BLM are the people burning down your cities and causing the related violence (hundreds more blacks dead this year because of it) not those defending the cities/citizens/businesses.
Again, I know you guys don’t trust my sources anymore than I trust yours, but the e-mails, pictures, videos, texts and testimonies should be enough for you to realize you are supporting a traitor and a pedophile for the office of President (and because that will be a disaster for the country it overrides normal anonymity considerations for the niece Hunter Biden was abusing, which Joe Biden knew about, per the texts).

I didn’t defend anything. I said there is no independent verification. You typically have trouble comprehending the difference.
“The e-mails, pictures, videos, texts and testimonies have not even been specifically contradicted by any of the Bidens.”
That proves nothing.
“even the FBI has not said they are fakes”
That proves nothing.
“I haven’t even referenced QAnon in any of my arguments”
You don’t need to reference QAnon to repeat the rumors that are being widely disseminated by them. You don’t need to reference QAnon to be guilty of engaging in slander and lies.
“and it has no relationship to the thread or the issue of the Bidens’ treason and pedophilia/incest.”
This thread is about the second presidential debate. You have derailed it into unsubstantiated rumors about treason, pedophilia, and incest.
“You cite leftist Wikipedia”
Wikipedia is crowd-sourced. How do you not know that?
“Antifa/BLM are the people burning down your cities”
No one has burned down my city. There were demonstrations and marches all summer, without a single incident of arson.
“and causing the related violence (hundreds more blacks dead this year because of it)”
Source?
“those defending the cities/citizens/businesses.”
Which is explicitly illegal in most states; see my earlier comment about this.
“the e-mails, pictures, videos, texts and testimonies should be enough for you”
They would be enough if there was actual proof they are real. No such proof has been provided.
“which Joe Biden knew about, per the texts).”
It is not at all clear that those texts even refer to what you think they do.
“because that will be a disaster for the country it overrides normal anonymity considerations for the niece Hunter Biden was abusing”
No. Nothing overrides that. Again, you don’t even have definitive proof she’s the individual in the video. She may not be a victim of anything except your slander. You don’t care if you destroy this child’s life. Nice.

It’s now being reported that the dossier compiled about Hunter Biden was developed by a fake intelligence firm.
How a fake persona laid the groundwork for a Hunter Biden conspiracy deluge
A 64-page document that was later disseminated by close associates of President Donald Trump appears to be the work of a fake “intelligence firm.”
By Ben Collins and Brandy Zadrozny
NBC News
Updated October 30, 2020
One month before a purported leak of files from Hunter Biden’s laptop, a fake “intelligence” document about him went viral on the right-wing internet, asserting an elaborate conspiracy theory involving former Vice President Joe Biden’s son and business in China.
The document, a 64-page composition that was later disseminated by close associates of President Donald Trump, appears to be the work of a fake “intelligence firm” called Typhoon Investigations, according to researchers and public documents.
The author of the document, a self-identified Swiss security analyst named Martin Aspen, is a fabricated identity, according to analysis by disinformation researchers, who also concluded that Aspen’s profile picture was created with an artificial intelligence face generator. The intelligence firm that Aspen lists as his previous employer said that no one by that name had ever worked for the company and that no one by that name lives in Switzerland, according to public records and social media searches.
One of the original posters of the document, a blogger and professor named Christopher Balding, took credit for writing parts of it when asked about it and said Aspen does not exist.
Despite the document’s questionable authorship and anonymous sourcing, its claims that Hunter Biden has a problematic connection to the Communist Party of China have been used by people who oppose the Chinese government, as well as by far-right influencers, to baselessly accuse candidate Joe Biden of being beholden to the Chinese government.
The document and its spread have become part of a wider effort to smear Hunter Biden and weaken Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, which moved from the fringes of the internet to more mainstream conservative news outlets.
An unverified leak of documents — including salacious pictures from what President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and a Delaware Apple repair store owner claimed to be Hunter Biden’s hard drive — were published in the New York Post on Oct. 14. Associates close to Trump, including Giuliani and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, have promised more blockbuster leaks and secrets, which have yet to materialize.
The fake intelligence document, however, preceded the leak by months, and it helped lay the groundwork among right-wing media for what would become a failed October surprise: a viral pile-on of conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden.

The moral and ethical way to handle that situation is to cite the author as “anonymous” or to state outright that the author is using a pseudonym, not create a fake persona out of lies and theft:

If a fake person created a dossier to smear Biden, you don’t think that’s a big deal? Why haven’t reporters been able to verify the authenticity of the content on Biden’s laptop, conveniently revealed a few weeks before the election?
Is the right wing media really coordinated about this story and the left wing purposely in the dark?
Why did the head of the RNC basically tell Chris Wallace that it was up to said media to verify the facts? Even Wallace as well the conservative leaning WSJ are scratching their heads. Where is the FBI in this? Come on now.

Biden is a traitor.
Yes, the media should verify facts in an ancillary report, but that report is not important in and of itself. The FBI sat on the laptop for months, so they know Biden is corrupt, but don’t care. This is what deep state corruption looks like.
Yes, they and the MSM should be verifying reports. It’s not the RNC’s job if the RNC didn’t prepare it. The guy who now seems to have prepared the report was not a Trump supporter, so could easily be disinformation to distract from the Biden docs, which are real and show treason clearly.

Ridiculous articles, Solitaire. I guess this is where it’s not worth my time with any further back and forth. You are smart enough to know these aren’t honest.
Yes, all the stuff could be deepfakes potentially, but then the Bidens would crush it by showing the docs weren’t real–that Bobulinski and Archer (former Hunter business partners) were lying and their purported copies of the e-mails and texts were also fake (other supposed e-mail recipients could come forward and testify under oath that these were fake and they never received them), that the meetings Bobulinski said happened with Joe Biden never happened, that Hunter Biden’s lawyer never called asking for his client’s laptop back. They could show that the pictures and videos and their metadata (with specific time and location) were all faked (if Hunter wasn’t there it’s easy). That would convince a lot of people that Giuliani and Trump were full of it.. it would be worth a lot in election terms and if they had a credible case that all this was faked, the media would support them 1000% percent.
Instead, they mysteriously choose to ignore all of that.. censor any mention of it.. and suggest its Russian disinfo (despite no Russian connection, as confirmed by the director of national security).
Most of you, including Solitaire, are smart enough to know why. You know you (most of you at least) are voting for a a traitor and pedo/incest perpetrator, but you don’t care.
Yet according to a recent survey, 51% of the public thinks the laptop and everything on it is Russian disinfo. So the lying media wins… and you all are complicit. Gonna be a wonderful first family–Biden family values.

I have heard sermons very much like this just before Election Day, though without naming any candidates. Abortion becomes the moral issue that trumps all.
That particular YouTube channel, Church Militant, seems to side with Trump even against the pope.
In 2016 most White Catholic voters and most White Evangelical voters voted for Trump. Abortion is often given as a reason, a way to tell the good guys from the bad guys. You see biff doing that. But, given that most Catholic and Evangelical voters who are NOT White voted against Trump, abortion seems more like an excuse, not the real reason.
