Update (May 31st): So, since I posted this all I have been writing about is people dying – of covid-19 or police brutality. It makes everything else seem unimportant, trivial, escapist even. I do not see that changing soon. So I am postponing Asian American History Month till July. Hopefully things will be semi-normal all things considered.

You’re calibrating Asians that hate black people, are you serious or a melininal black liberal.
I bet you believe in the Black /Brown Alliance too. Join hands and sing kumbaya with the enemies.

“Why Asians hate black Amerikkans.”
That’s an easy one. They are practicing for the time they move from “honorary White” people to full blown White people. Contempt for Black people is part of White American culture.
When in Rome….

“50 Cent Party” How to sign up and get paid.
Nathan “It’s ok to love China”Rich would be an interesting subject.
“Welcome to Asian American History Month 2019 – pre-empted by my ill-fated Black History Year!” What Black history year?
“Blaming Africans for covid-19
Blaming Asian Americans for covid-19
Blaming China for covid-19” How about blaming coronavirus for covid-19!
“Zionism, Netanyahu, New Guinea ” Asia starts in the middle east and ends in Australasia? Ok, how about Australia, New Zealand, etc.?
“Great Leap Forward” Based on the usual chorus voices demonizing Mao or historical objective facts?
“Hong Kong” based on media propaganda or independent, objective facts about its legal status vis-à-vis the PRC?
“Africans in China
China in Africa” Why not China in Europe and Europe in China? Why Africans in China instead of Africa in China?
“Chinese technology circa 2020” Based on facts or fantasies about China ‘stealing’ technology from the USA?
Biggie, aren’t you ashamed of appropriating Black culture? You do know that Kumbaya was invented by Blacks, right?Don’t you have a White version or are you an example of the negrified type Hitler hated so much?
“”Kum ba yah” (“Come by Here”) is an African American spiritual of disputed origin, but known to be sung in the Gullah culture of the islands off South Carolina and Georgia, with ties to enslaved West Africans.”
How about the Hamitic invasion of Africa by the’ Asiatic Blackman’ of Black Muslim and five-percenter lore?

I read on social media how Africans in China were experiencing extreme racism in China. And being subjected to discrimination. Perhaps a post on that incident. Since the start of the pandemic of corona virus, many Asian-Americans are reporting they have been targets for racist attacks. Trump’s xenophobic rhetoric, always makes things worse. Perhaps a post on that as well.

Some of the above comments should not surprise anyone. Take India for example. Full of caste based discrimination naturally spilling over into hatred towards religious minorities. Christians are the easiest targets and often insulted to their face. White Christians are more than tolerated as Christianity is a white religion no? And not a garbage bin for low caste converts. Yes?
Check the percentage of Hindus holding jobs in the public service, politics and media in the US relative to their population in that country. Then check the percentage of Muslims who form 10% of India’s population, and the Christians who form 2%, who hold jobs in the public service, politics and media. You are looking at a figure close to zero. You cannot expect a different behavior in the US when you turn blind eye to their behavior back in the home country.

If Christians are the “easiet targets”, why is the BJP pressing so hard against Indian Muslims?
If you consider Christianity a “garbage bin for low caste converts”, please elaborate as to how you came to that conclusion.

@afrofem: i don’t consider “ Christianity a garbage bin for low caste converts”. I am a Believer myself. I have heard that remark myself, or others which amount to the same thing. The Hindu fundamentalists press hard against the Muslims for sure, but their attacks against Christian institutions and personnel are not far behind.. The world is silent.

BJP “attacks” against the tiny Christian minority in India are relatively mild compared to the all out assault against Indian Muslims. For example, the recent Citizenship Laws revokes the citizenship of Muslims but not Christians. That is an “attack” many orders of magnitude greater than anything Chistians face in India.

@afrofem: Agreed that the BJP’s assault against the Muslims is gigantic in comparison to that on Christian communities. But the scale of the attacks on the latter community is large when viewed on its own and compared to worldwide hate activiies. Yet most the country supports the BJP. It would similar to most of the US supporting the KKK at the polls.

From my perspective, the majority of the US electorate does support the KKK at the polls. That has been true since the beginning of the KKK. Not much has changed over the past 150 years.
From what I’ve read, a majority of Indian Christians are Dalit. They continue to face intense caste discrimination both inside and outside the confines of their religion. Higher caste Christians are just as bigoted against Dalit Christians as higher caste Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs.
Indian Christians who are also Dalit are persecuted primarily because of caste considerations. Anti-Christian persecution is potent, but secondary.
According to a BBC article:

As an American of African descent, that sounds very familiar.

@Afrofem: Christians who suffer discrimination in a Church are usually able to seek redress from the higher authority within that Church. They will get a hearing. All mainstream Churches are making efforts to eliminate all kinds of discrimination.

I vote for “Africans in China” as well.
Also, that’s nothing new. China, out of all Asian Countries, has been the most hostile to Black people in general. I recall a story years ago of a college campus or dorms that was on fire. They had 2 buildings for African students and Chinese students. they ONLY put out the fire for the Chinese. When asked why they didn’t do the same for the African students, they responded “why?”
Not to mention their commercials

Given jefe’s alleged ‘expertise’ on all things Asian, Black and Hong Kong, I want a guest post from him on the life and times of Percy Chen, his father, Eugene Chen and his mother, Aisy Chen a/k/a Agatha Alphosin Ganteaume.
Some ‘smart’ people on this blog have condemned the Chinese as inveterate racists who will be even worse than the Europeans when they get their hands on Africa. If the Chinese are as bad as all that, why was Eugene Chen, married to a woman who was visibly Black, the foremost foreign policymaker of China from 1918 to 1927?
Percy Chen is an even harder case because, despite sharing his mother’s ‘sable’ tan, he was a very prominent lawyer in HK, he founded HK’s bar association in 1948. He lived in a luxurious HK mansion in an era when Blacks couldn’t get a drink of water in some sh!thole USA town, land of the free and home of the brave!
Why has jefe refrained from introducing this fascinating fellow to this forum? Is it because Percy Chen was flagrantly pro CCP?
jefe, now that Xi has thrown down the gauntlet, what will you and your friends do about it? You guys have been itching to take the man on since last year. I hope, for your sakes (I’m not talking about the Japanese drink), you guys won’t try the stupid take over of buildings like last year. I guess when you wish for a police state you eventually get one. Kind of like the boy who cried wolf one to many times.
