Remarks:

I actually remember this song even though I probably have not heard it since the 1980s. It never made the pop or R&B charts in the US, but it did get to #2 on the dance chart (based on what DJs at dance clubs play). That was in 1986. If YouTube is any guide, then somewhere in my brain are all these dance songs from the late 1980s and early 1990s.

“Everyone sings in an American accent”, as they say (possibly because American vowels are more drawn out or because the US pumps out so much pop music it winds up setting the style), but if her t’s sound kind of off that is because Italian is her native language.
