Lynne Patton (c. 1973- ) is that wedding planner who US President Donald Trump put in charge of public housing in New York and New Jersey. She is still there.
In 2018 she called White House reporter April Ryan “Miss Piggy”. (Ryan shot back: “What wig company do you work for?”)
In 2019 she was used as a prop in Congress to prove that Trump is not racist:
Representative Mark Meadows, a Republican from North Carolina, had her, as a Black person, stand up behind him silently during a hearing (pictured above) while he said:
“Lynne Patton says she would not work for a man who is racist.”
Rep. Brenda Lawrence, a Democrat from Michigan:
“Having endured the public comments of racism from the sitting president, as being a Black person I can only imagine what’s being said in private. And to prop up one member of our entire race of Black people and say that that nullifies that is totally insulting.”
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, also a Democrat from Michigan, and one of the first Muslim women in Congress, said that using Patton as a “prop” was a “racist act”. Meadows, who is a Birther, was offended that she was offended.
Patton in her own words on Fox News:
“The president does not see color, race, creed, religion. What he sees is success and failure. … Trump has time and time again done so much for the Black community and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
The Good Darky Fallacy is what I call the illogical belief that a Black person who works for a White person would freely call out that person’s racism. Omarosa, for example, did not call Trump a racist till well after she had cut ties with him.
Patton timeline:
- 1991-96: studies English literature at the University of Miami
- 2009-17: Vice President of the Eric Trump Foundation (now sunk in scandal)
- 2014: planned Eric Trump’s wedding
- 2016: a director of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump
- 2017- : Administrator of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Region II
At HUD she works under Ben Carson.
Her father, Curtis L. Patton, was a professor of epidemiology at the Yale School of Medicine from 1970 to 2006. As far as I know, he had nothing to do with the infamous Tuskegee Syphillis Experiment, which took place in his field of medicine in his home state of Alabama from 1932 to 1972.

Eating her own dog food: She is now living in New York public housing for a month – with weekends off, trips to Washington, and still making $161,900 a year. Some say it is a publicity stunt, others say that it will give her a clear idea of what is wrong with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).
For the week of February 11th 2019 she stayed at the Patterson Houses in the Bronx (pictured above, designed by Robert Moses, completed in 1956).
One resident noted:
“I’ve never seen the lobby this clean!”
Another said:
“Since the lady from HUD has been here, we’ve had heat all week.”

And this means!?
Why are you citing a non fact Abagond?
It’s me or is there a distinctive smell of innuendo in the air? Poor father…

^ I must concur that I have no idea what that statement has to do with anything, especially statements like “As far as I know ….”. Maybe Abagond can explain what this paragraph is about.
It is good to point out the problem of the “Good Darkie Fallacy”.
I wonder what would happen if Patton “pulled an Omarosa”.

This broad is so disgusting. And has no shame being trotted out like a show dog and used like a tool to promote racism. Her and black conservatives like Candace Owens are nothing but minstrels for the white right wing. I get so disgusted with uncle tom’s and coons like this.

This woman is so disgusting that she has no shame being trotted out like a show dog. She is nothing but a minstrel for the right wing. I astounds me how there is always some Uncle Tom or Aunt Thomasina who will allow themselves to be used as shills to promote white supremacy. I get so disgusting with black people like this. Lynne Patton and black conservatives like Candace Owens turn my stomach i have nothing but visceral disdain for these type of black people.

Mark Meadows had the audacity and the gall to get offended when called out on his racism. It was the old “ I have people of color in my family.” Rashida Tlaib told the truth and was reprimanded and had to apologize for her succinct statement about his racism. Whiteness and white fragility is a heck of a drug. Mark Meadows needs to get his head out of his hind parts.

I never read the Good Darky Fallacy but this would be an apt description of blacks like Patton and black conservatives and black Trump supporters and all those knee-grows who think the white man’s ice is colder.

Lynne Patton is a Trumpette in it for the money – selling her soul to any White “Official” on political payroll who will pay to use her to illustrate their lies.

At the Cohen hearings Rashia Tlaib called out Mark Meadows for trotting Out Lynn Patton as a prop and reprimanded him for his racism. And then Elijah Cummings interjected that Meadows was his friend and not a racist. This display of boot licking was appalling especially when learning that Meadows is a former “Birther” and made the statement to send Barack Obama back to Kenya.

Shuck and buck artist on display at the Cohen hearings. Patton sold her soul and Elijah Cummings was Uncle Ben in this sickening and sad scenario. I am surprised Diamond and Silk weren’t there in their bad wigs tap dancing.

If I had not just done a post on Kamala Harris’a father, I likely would not have wondered much about her father. But I did and wrote down what I knew – to put a pin in it and to see if maybe if someone else knew something about him.
An earlier draft of the post had a longer Meadows quote that mentioned her father – something she does herself – so that paragraph seemed less startling.
Her father is part of her self-image and story, more so than, say, Meadows’s tropetastic racism or Trump’s history in the New York housing market, things I left out to keep that paragraph.

Well, … this would first require Patton to be summarily fired or terminated under questionable circumstances. … right? Rarely does reasonable people bite the hands that currently feeds them. (smh)
