Remarks:
My favourite Carly Simon song. Her voice reminds me of ketchup, but in the video she reminds me of me in some strange way.
This song came out in 1986 and went to #18 on the US pop chart, #5 in Canada, #10 in Britain, and did well in Brazil.

Lyrics:
Baby sneezes
Mummy pleases
Daddy breezes in
So good on paper
So romantic
But so bewildering
Mummy pleases
Daddy breezes in
So good on paper
So romantic
But so bewildering
I know nothing stays the same
But if you’re willing to play the game
It’s coming around again
So don’t mind if I fall apart
There’s more room in a broken heart
But if you’re willing to play the game
It’s coming around again
So don’t mind if I fall apart
There’s more room in a broken heart
You pay the grocer
You fix the toaster
You kiss the host Good-bye
Then you break a window
Burn the Souffle
Scream a lullabyI know nothing stays the same
But if you’re willing to play the game
It’s coming around again
You fix the toaster
You kiss the host Good-bye
Then you break a window
Burn the Souffle
Scream a lullabyI know nothing stays the same
But if you’re willing to play the game
It’s coming around again
So don’t mind if I fall apart
There’s more room in a broken heart
And I believe in love
But what else can I do
I’m so in love with you
I know nothing stays the same
But if you’re willing to play the game
It will be coming around again

I forgot about this song by Carly Simon it is a good song. “Her voice reminds me of ketchup “I laughed at that and had to ponder what that meant, I remember Carly Simon recorded a song called Anticipation. It was the Heinz 57 ketchup commercial and it used to make me hungry for a burger and fries.

This song reminds me of “Merry Go ‘Round” by Kacey Musgraves, one of the few country artists I actually like. “Mama’s hooked on Mary Kay, Brother’s hooked on Mary Jane,
and Daddy’s hooked on Mary two doors down…”

She did a version with “Itsy Bitsy Spider” which, I’m embarrassed to say, is my favorite.

Omg, this song or something like it is in the background for like a dozen 80s movies.
I was immediately transported to the 1980s the minute she started singing.
