Michelle Wolf (1985- ) is the White Liberal stand-up comedian who appeared last Saturday, April 28th 2018, at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC. It is an event where she is expected to make fun of both the White House and the press. But when she did, the White House and the press were offended.
Sniff.
Wolf on President Trump, who was too chicken to show up, who famously boasted that women let him “grab them by the pussy”:
“Of course, Trump isn’t here, if you haven’t noticed, he’s not here. And I know, I know, I would drag him here myself, but it turns out the president of the United States is the one pussy you’re not allowed to grab.”
Wolf on Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary whose lies we in the US have to listen to day after day:
“She burns facts, and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Like maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies. It’s probably lies.”
Some mistook that as a cruel joke about Sanders’ appearance. While it is a take-off on the “Maybe it’s Maybelline” make-up ads, the joke is about her lies, not her eyes.
Wolf on the press:
“You guys are obsessed with Trump. Did you used to date him? Because you pretend like you hate him, but I think you love him. I think what no one in this room wants to admit is that Trump has helped all of you. He couldn’t sell steaks or vodka or water or college or ties or Eric, but he has helped you. He’s helped you sell your papers and your books and your TV. You helped create this monster, and now you’re profiting off of him. If you’re going to profit off of Trump, you should at least give him some money, because he doesn’t have any.”
She ended with this:
“Flint still doesn’t have clean water.”
It was great, it was glorious.
Dave Chappelle agreed:
“I don’t know who those people think they are that she can’t say that to them, ’cause they offend people all the time. I think that for many people … it’s cathartic to watch that woman speak truth to power like that. … I know how hard it is to do what she did in front of that lame-ass crowd. And she – I think she nailed it. … I didn’t see her pander once and I thought that was beautiful.”
But Trump along with the press and many on the right did not agree.
The White House Correspondents’ Association itself, which represents reporters at the presidential palace, said:
“Last night’s program was meant to offer a unifying message about our common commitment to a vigorous and free press while honoring civility, great reporting and scholarship winners, not to divide people. Unfortunately, the entertainer’s monologue was not in the spirit of that mission.”
Since when does the press think unity is more important than speaking truth to power?

Hey, White House correspondents, a united front is only as good as its values. Dishonesty, greed, cowardice, and hypocrisy are not productive values.

Just like with Colbert in 2006, Wolf was so amazing and on point, I could scarcely believe she was actually saying it.
It is hard for me to believe that but anyone in that room could be so clueless as to think what she was unwarranted, underserved or unfair. That the Republicans and media! closed ranks and tried to pretend that what Wolf said was offensive rather than biting but completely fair means they are either clueless as to how they are perceived by anyone with a brain or they are so enclosed in their bubble, they truly believe that no one else sees through the bullshit they’re shilling.
Either way, it’s a pathetic commentary on our Democracy and shows me that nothing other than complete and utter revolution is in order to root these fuckers out of our government.

Talk about “projection “ she was not talking about Sanders-Huckabee’s looks she was saying what a liar she was. But they (The pundits, and butt hurt administration). Just shows how hypocritical and spineless they are. We may never get a moment like this to shine to light on this trash administration but it was good while it lasted.

Is she white? Looking at her photos, I’m not so sure.

Because she seems less brainwashed than 90% of White people, I was wondering if maybe she was part Black, Latina or at least Jewish. But her Wikipedia page makes no reference to race or ethnicity, which means she is most likely just White.

The article then goes into detailed specifics about her genealogy, even identifying which towns in Germany some of her ancestors came from.
It is of course quite possible that she has a small amount of Jewish and/or African American heritage that she is unaware of.

I never loved her spots on The Daily Show, but I finally saw the full corespondent’s dinner bit from CSPAN and I found it hilarious! Several laugh out loud funny parts. It was a roast, so naturally there’s some parts that might upset some people, but even if your a conservative, you should totally watch it. I mean, maybe not so much if you’re a MAGA dittohead conservative who’s overly sensitive… but otherwise you’ll be fine.

Okay, if she says she’s white, then she is white. I only can add that she is one of the blackest looking whites I’ve ever seen. This curly hair, the shape of her mouth, the caramel complexion (very Mariah Carey-like)… Genes work in strange ways, indeed. I know at least two high yellow girls that look whiter than her. But never mind.

Tons of Whites are part Black and do not know it. So you could be right. It crossed my mind too.

This current administration is nothing but liars and deplorables they are angry at Michelle Wolf’s comedy routine of roasting them but she did just come for the administration she told the truth about the whole political landscape in this country. She exposed the Democrats for their gutless and spineless existence. She told the truth and they all responded like crybabies. They are hypocrites saying that Wolf was cruel and and tasteless.
Donald Trump is cruel and tasteless and classless with his misogyny and xenophobic rhetoric. These ghouls and demons and fiends working to kill our democracy that’s on life support have the nerve to have hurt feelings and that just blows my mind. Wolf was not criticizing Sarah Huckabee-Sanders looks, she was alluding to what a liar she is. Those trying to protect Huckabee-Sanders are projecting they too think she’s ugly even though that was not what Wolf was doing they chose to obfuscate.
Listening to some of my favorites black podcast many want to invite Wolf into the black family and invite her to the cookouts and black barbecue. I kind of wonder if Rachel Dolezael was is listening and her feelings must be hurt. (Lol).

I am a fan of Michelle Wolf now but hope and pray we don’t find anything awful on social media that she has posted about black people.

And can I just add: which should really offend someone more, being called ugly or being called a liar?
I didn’t see a rush to defend her honesty or integrity.

Like thatdeborahgirl says, this administration dosen’t give a damn about us the people, they only give a damn about themselves, and they honestly think we the people are too stupid and dumb to see through the bullshit they try to peddle to us all the time. The stupid clown-in-chief thinks he can run the country like he ran his companies—which, if you look up his past business record, is going to be straight into the damn ground. That’s a scary prospect in and of itself. This administration, like the idiot-in-chief himself, can’t handle or stand being called out on its bullshit at any time—that’s why they acted so offended. I also can’t stand the way these supporters of the fool in the WH act like questioning or criticizing any thing he does is unpatriotic—uh,no, it would be unpatriotic to NOT question any stupid or ignorant thing this idiot does–which is pretty much everything he does anyway.
Also, roasting the WH is a tradition—apparently they thought Wolf was going to just suck up to them or co-sign on their bullshit like they expect everyone else to bow down and do. The administration obviously didn’t get the memo on what the roast is about to begin with, lol.

I also thought Wolf said “fats”, not “facts” in regards to Huckabee, like everybody else did, it seems—my mistake.

“honestly think we the people are too stupid and dumb to see through the bullshit they try to peddle to us all the time”—Oh but there are people who are honestly too stupid and too dumb to see through the bullshit. Either that or they just don’t care. At this rate who knows with this sh*t show.
