The Trump dossier (2016) – hashtag #GoldenShowerGate – was put together by a former British spy in 2016 and made public by BuzzFeed earlier this week. In 35 pages it outlines Russia’s relationship with Donald Trump, its operation to get him elected US president (WikiLeaks was part of it), and the blackmail it holds over his head. Trump won the election and becomes president next week.
Russia says the dossier is a “hoax”.
Donald Trump tweeted:
“FAKE NEWS – A TOTAL POLITICAL WITCH HUNT!”
and used Russia to back his claim:
“Russia just said the unverified report paid for by political opponents is “A COMPLETE AND TOTAL FABRICATION, UTTER NONSENSE.” Very unfair!”
It was paid for by Trump’s opponents, he is right about that. It was opposition research paid for first by supporters of Jeb Bush and then by Democrats.
But it is unlikely to be a hoax. The spy in question is believed to be Christopher Steele, now in hiding. He is well-regarded by both British and US intelligence. Which is presumably why US intelligence thought it important enough to bring to the attention of the president, the president-elect and top lawmakers – even though it was unverified raw intelligence.
The FBI and some in the US press have known about the dossier since before the election, but said little about it. They say it is because they could not tell how true it was. A courtesy they did not extend to Hillary Clinton when it came to WikiLeaks or Anthony Weiner’s computer.
Some of what it says:
- “Russian regime has been cultivating, supporting and assisting TRUMP for at least 5 years. Aim, endorsed by PUTIN, has been to encourage splits and divisions within the western alliance.”
- Trump “and his inner circle have accepted a regular flow of intelligence from the Kremlin, including on his Democratic and other political rivals.”
- Russia has compromising information with which it can blackmail Trump, notably a golden shower sex tape of Trump with some call girls. It also has compromising information on Hillary Clinton: phone calls where she opposes her stated public positions.
- Putin wanted both Trump and Clinton to oppose the TPP trade deal. Both did.
- Putin hates and fears Hillary Clinton.
- Putin was behind the DNC hack and the John Podesta emails that appeared on WikiLeaks.
- Trump spies for Putin on Russian oligarchs in the US.
- Trump and Putin were surprised by the backlash in the US when people began to suspect Russian meddling in the election.
- Trump does not mind if the US press looks into his business ties with Russia – there is not much there and it draws attention away from huge bribes and kickbacks in China and elsewhere. His business ties with Russia lie mainly in the future:
- Trump, by way of Carter Page, promised to drop sanctions against Russia in exchange for “up to a 19 per cent (privatized) stake” in Rosneft, the state oil company.
Trump has been acting strangely about Putin and Russia, and the dossier makes sense of that – but maybe too well.

Have you heard of the Zinoviev letter? “The “Zinoviev letter” was a controversial document published by the British Daily Mail newspaper four days before the general election in 1924. It purported to be a directive from the Communist International in Moscow to the Communist Party of Great Britain.”

Total propaganda! It’s an obvious bought and paid for shill report by a British spy against America’s elected president. THAT’s borderline treasonous. The reason it wasn’t reported before is because it was extremely questionable and Trump was supposed to have lost anyway. Now, in desperation, they’re throwing everything to see what might stick.
It’s interesting that the same people who’re “concerned” that Trump may have benefited incidentally from leaked information about Hillary – which they questionably claim Russia provided and have no evidence Trump solicited – are OK with a foreign spy being verifiably paid to concoct information about the President-Elect?
They’re desperate to connect Trump to Russia so if there was actual information that he paid a Russian to spy on Hillary the media would have been tearing him apart. Yet his oppositon verifiably did something similar to what his foes wish to pin on him and we’re supposed to view it as credible and aboveboard. The lack of principle and duplicitousness is astounding!
These nasty, mendacious democrats, who’re so hungry for power, have made me more assured that they need to get the hell out. Their astonishing dishonestly and refusal to accept the results of the election suggest that they could be more dangerous than Trump.

Wow. Such a blatantly false equivalence. The dossier is unverifiable hearsay. WikiLeaks and Weiner’s pc were the actual words of Hillary and company. Gossip versus fact. And the FBI had no control over what WikiLeaks released.

The FBI brought Weiner’s PC into play BEFORE it even checked to see if it had any new emails, much less ones that were damning. It did not wait to look into the matter first. That is NOT the procedure it took with this dossier.
As to WikiLeaks, we do not know to what degree the emails have been cherry-picked, edited or taken out of context. If I went through your emails or eavesdropped on your confidential conversations, I am pretty sure I could create a damning picture of you. And not because of anything wrong you have done, but just because of the abuse such a process lends itself to.

I certainly haven’t been following this story closely, but the general impression I get is that most political pundits agree, it’s a blatant attempt to smear Trump. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has disowned the dossier “releasing a 200-word statement to the effect that he was shocked, shocked, that the dossier had found its way into the press. Such leaks, the statement said, “are extremely corrosive and damaging to our national security.”” So the Intel community is backing off.

This is interesting and makes sense in picturing the activities of one of some Russian counter-elitarian subgroups aiming to take power after Putin’s voluntary or involuntary resign.
So I wouldn’t say the Trump affair is an entirely Kremlin project; it’s more like a project being performed by Kremlin on behalf of one of many Russian elites’ sub-groups (and, yes, although there are over 100 different languages and nationalities in Russia following several different religions apart from the Orthodox Chrisianity, they are all ‘Russians’ to a foreign observer – just like most of Africans are ‘Blacks’ 🙂 )
The economical partnership between Trump and Russia is OK for me as long as it promotes foreign investments into Russian economy; they were drawn away from the Russian market between 2014 and 2016 in remarcable volume because of Russian internal policy becoming more and more ‘ethnocentric’ then, whatever the meaning of ‘ethnocentricity’ in a country united by a tacit knowledge unarticulatable even for those who share it could be 🙂
What is more interesting to me, however, is which Spanish speaking countries are key players in world economy in the light of the TPP issue.
As for the political tastes of the Americans, or the internal American affairs, these are none of my business.

To me, this so-called “Trump Dossier”, whether it is sheer propaganda or true to its very core, really doesn’t matter much. Why? Because it’s simply a distraction tool designed to eschew scrutiny away from Amerika’s provocative military activity taking place on Russian borders.
Even further, while nuclear war looms over all of us through the destruction of humanity, and as instructed from parental oligarchs, the corporate owned, main stream media in the US is noticeably muted. Instead, they’d much rather speak of a supposed “Golden shower gate document.”

Abagond, war and propaganda is ultimately a game of deception to move people in a government desired path. Putin may sell this point within that dossier all he wants to, but personally, I’m not buying it. Who, or what President in their right mind would want a nuclear capable military within the scope of their backyard, uninvited?
During the Cuban Missile Crisis, did President Kennedy say the following to the citizens of this country: We are happy to invite the Soviet Union’s military personnel and missiles in Cuba because it’s too darn cold to conduct military exercises within their own country. Hell no! President Kennedy wanted them out of Cuba because they were too darn close to the U.S. mainland and it made him appear weak.
The U.S. military is conducting military exercises in Lithuania (Baltics), a mere 700 miles from Ukraine. However, rest assured, the real reason seems to be, due to Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014. Russian and Amerikan oligarchs were sparring over this contested region immediately prior to the annexation.
Again, the dossier may hold some truths but it seems to be to be mostly propaganda. The propaganda portion is what seems to be inflaming the U.S. government’s reasoning, whether contrived or not, to perhaps attack Russia or threaten to do so and at the same time delegitimize President-elect Rump as Commander in Chief and how he got to be, all at once.

I dunno, Trump’s family and inner circle can’t even keep him off of twitter. The idea that Trump can be controlled by the Russians seems like pure fantasy.
What has happened is that a bombastic reality TV star is about to be president of the U.S. That has allowed the MSM to sink to the level of the National Enquire. Fake news is a now a thing but the lines that seperate tabloid news and the MSM no longer exist anymore.
I just saw that FB is going to try a new program to sort what is fake news and what is real news. So social media will become the ministry of truth

There was a time when all U.S. citizens trusted the MSM. My grandmother told me that her father always trusted what was written in the newspapers because it was “true”. When JFK was president the people trusted what he said about the Cuban missile crisis and he could have rallied U.S. citizens to war if it had come to that. Some in the media knew of JFK’s sexual escapades in the White House but the culture in the media at that time meant not to talk about it.
The Vietnam War was the beginning of the anti war left but that was outside of MSM. But people began to question the media and U.S. foreign policy. By the time the Regan years arrived some anti war left were in MSM which allowed critisim of Regans militarism.
By the time Clinton arrived the media had a liberal Democrat wing and a conservative Republican wing. Foreign policy was pro imperialistic and that was supported in both media wings. Domestic issues like abortion and gun control were hot button issues. The prison complex was built and mass incarceration happened with little media criticism. But tabloids under Clinton began reporting “news” which would get picked up by the MSM and Fox began its rise. Alternative news sources became more legitimate.
Today I would describe the news as being controlled not by conspiratorial Orwellian over lords but by capitalism. In other words there is a market for sensationalism so there is a race for click bait and media share. Some of fake news is about creating content to stay relevant. So there is multiple idiological devides in this country and a market for their consumption. It has devolved to the point where talk about golden showers at the six o’clock news cycle now the new norm.
What was once free speech is now click bait speech. To control free speech would mean controlling the Internet. The greatest threat to freedom in the future would be the publics inability to critically parse what now gets reported as news within our so called “information age. “.

Crimea is the probably the least of the West’s concerns. The West has been trying to pull all the former Soviet nations away from Russian economic influence since the fall of the USSR. Ukraine is the most important to the West because of its oil fields and the pipeline.

“One thing I mentioned but forgot to expand on was what happen to the anti war left. It certainly wasn’t around under Obama.”
The anti-war movement was purposely decimated by the new creation of designated “protest zones” and the prohibition of photos of dead servicemen & women and photos of coffins returning to Amerika from war zones and the lack of an Amerikan national war protest leader to succeed Cindy Sheehan – all which occurred under Bush 2. War protesters were also designated as unpatriotic non-supporters of the troops supposedly fighting overseas to defend Amerika’s freedoms.
Obomber based his campaign on “CHANGE” and bringing the troops home. By the time he took office the anti-war movement in Amerika had been nullified, never to be (effectively) heard from again. Instead of protesting the war, enraged people began protesting/questioning Obomber’s legitimacy as POTUS.

the bias here is telling. a story presented with literally no evidence is treated as if it is real news. similar Hillary related stories were relegated to a much higher requirement of proof. for ex the illness stories. although ample evidence was already on the web, with bobbling heads and uncontrollable coughing fits and mental lapses, few here took it seriously until she collapsed on the 911 anniversary. likewise all of the other conspiracy theories surrounding her. none are taken as seriously as this particular tissue thin accusation. conspiracy theory about Clinton.bad. conspiracy theory about Trump. good.

Most of the media hung itself by being so unabashedly partisan (and pro-Hillary) in the lead-up to the elections. If the media were actually reporting the real story, that Trump had an actual path to the presidency, they might have survived his victory with credibility intact. That same media will be very critical of Trump during his presidency but because of the monumental blow to their trustworthiness and influence that the election result represented, he’ll be largely impervious to their haranguing. Sure, they’ll preach successfully to the choir but if they couldn’t sway people before the elections, they aren’t going to do so after their impotence and irrelevance have already been proven.
This is unfortunate because it means that even verified negative information about Trump (unlike the “golden showers” propaganda) will be viewed with suspicion when it comes from the disgraced media. The fact that the media bet on a horse and lost, thereby allowing Trump to trample them on his way to the presidency, has made him more powerful. Reporting unverified information with questionable sourcing as credible will not help their cause. Trump is already armed and that just hands him a bullet with “you’re fake news” written on it.
Yet, there is an irony in that Trump doesn’t seem to be “loved”. Yes, he has his hardcore supporters but it seems to me that many people have their reservations. To the extent that polls can be believed, some seem to reflect that. However, the disruption to the entrenched political connections and dynasties that he represents seems to carry some weight. The alternative candidate was running on “more of the same, but in a pantsuit” and a fair number of people were not happy with that.
IMO, therein lies Trump’s biggest weakness: being unable to deliver. I think those who unshakably despise him intuitively get this and are secretly, or not so secretly, hoping that he’s a terrible President. From their perspective anyone who cooperates with Trump, even for worthy causes, is betraying the cause of making sure he fails. He gets it too, which is why we see the TPP being killed before he even entered the White House and deals being brokered to keep jobs in the US. Furthermore, his political opponents’ tools to obstruct him are going to be limited because the Democratic Party was trounced and the Republicans have majorities. It’s going to be an interesting four years.

Obama’s latest last minute move. Increase the power of NSA surveillance. Just now! Tell me, if he was so concerned about what fascist thing Donald Trump might do, why is he equipping the incoming prez with more surveillance capability? These are some strange last moves. The sanctions against Russia, taking over the election process thru homeland security. removing the head of security the day of Trump’s inauguration.
Obama has really expanded the power of the presidency, giving him the power to kill American citizens or imprison them without trial. These powers he must have known he was passing on to the next inevitably white president. And now, even when he knows who the next guy is, he’s expanding the authoritarian powers even further. Literally just days before leaving office. Taken together, these are some strange machinations.

Not so strange if you view the two parties as united in their service to the One Percent. What does the One Percent want? To do anything they wish and not have the pesky citizens of this country get in their way. As far as they are concerned the rest of the population is just here to pay taxes. That is it. Anyone not paying taxes is labeled a “useless eater”. The Dems and the Repubs have a plan to eliminate those sectors of the population that fit that label.
Obama is just doing his part to set the plan in motion. For that he will be richly rewarded.

“Obama is just doing his part to set the plan in motion. For that he will be richly rewarded.”
True that. He has always been the enemy. He used to try to keep it hidden. Here at the end hiding it is not so important. It’s one thing to expand the power of the presidency when you don’t know who the next president will be. That’s bad enough, for the first black president. Because Dem or Rep, the next prez with expanded presidential powers, like extrajudicial assassination, was going to be white. Obama might have assumed before the election that the next prez was going to be Hillary, who would handle these powers ‘wisely’. But now he knows the next prez is a supposed fascist, Hitler even, yet he expands these powers even more. It’s not surprising to me that he did this, but it might surprise some of his followers, especially the ones out in the street protesting the coming of a putative fascist to power. I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy.
The other stuff Obama is doing is very strange. The sudden expelling of Russian diplomats. And this is very strange.
“Without explanation and just a week before inauguration, President Obama has suddenly announced he is removing the Major General in charge of the DC National Guard who helped plan and was set to oversee event security that day, effective right in the middle of the ceremony the very minute after Donald Trump is sworn in as president.
The termination is unprecedented and out of decorum with such a high state function taking place,”
“Federalizing” the elections is also strange. Moving troops to the Russian border in strange. when the incoming prez has clearly signaled he wants to normalize relations with Russia. All of this activity in the last weeks of his administration. And you can bet that he was entirely on board with the dossier smear. This is strange. Most outgoing presidents try to facilitate a smooth transition when the other party wins. This one is trying to make things as difficult as possible, especially by threatening war with Russia.

What I don’t understand …
Why are people blaming Obomber as if he’s the sole individual responsible for broadening the executive branch’s power base?
Obviously he has co-enablers in the other two branches, or he wouldn’t have been permitted to extend the powers of his office – and – it’s not as if Clinton or Bush2 (and those prior to them) haven’t done the same exact thing. All 3 branches are responsible for this, not one individual person. Congress, the Senate, the Supreme Court do not get a pass.
The Amerikan police state is at war, committing the same offenses against the ordinary people: aggressive surveillance, strip searches at schools and airports, police shootings of unarmed Black people, government spying, government lying, censorship, cover-ups, retaliatory arrests, the criminalization of lawful activities, looking the other way when high crimes against the state are committed by people in high places, warmongering, indefinite detentions, SWAT team raids, torture, asset forfeiture and more. Who talks about the constitution anymore? What constitution??
So why are all these anti-Trump people now so concerned about what Trump might do to Amerika? Could they not see the “DANGER AHEAD!” signs posted upon virtually every wall in Amerika that said, in effect – like Humpty Dumpty – Amerika was heading for a perilous fall – eons BEFORE Trump ever considered running for office?? Where was their collective voice then??
Amerika has been primed for any POTUS willing to follow in the same or similar footsteps of other previously (s)elected POTUS … that’s willing to follow orders.
Yeah, Amerika is full of fakery. About 50% of it is found in its people. The other 50% or so might be found in its news medias.

Why doesn’t he do something useful with his final days?

This is why I can’t get behind the extreme Trump opposition especially since alternatives are scarce. IMO, people are too concerned with personalities. Just as some were irrational in their support for Obama and their expecting the world from him, they are just as irrational in viewing Trump, the individual, as the embodiment of all that is evil. How did a man who is seventy years old and has been in the public eye for decades, having been praised by individuals such as Jesse Jackson, suddenly become such a grave menace who’s going to send us to gas chambers?
This is a perception that was created by exaggeration of his obvious flaws in order to ensure and accentuate the drama of Hillary’s victory. We know from the DNC emails that they definitely wanted him to be propped up in the media. Evil would have been vanquished as the first female president rose to power and all the pundits would have pat themselves on their backs. Somehow things did not go according to plan and we are just left with a ghostly and extreme hysteria.
Yet, had Trump not won, the dangers Clinton represented in the presidential office would have been largely ignored by the left just as Obama could do no wrong. Mrs “I’m with Her” had developed a cult of personality around herself and there is a mirrored cult of hate that follows Trump. They hate Trump as much as they loved Hillary. But it’s primarily about politics and personality not principle. Trump presents, possibly deliberately, an “unsophisticated” persona in the sense of Marima Ani’s “rhetorical ethic”. His apparent directness is not culturally valued and is seen as characteristic of lower classes. As such, he’s viewed as a lout by opinion makers as much as he may appeal to the common man. However, people with properly manicured “images” are quite free to do everything that it is feared that Trump might do with the blind support of celebrities and others who consider themselves “cultured”.
So in my mind this whole affair has unmasked the underlying hypocrisy of the Democratic Party. The danger is not centered on one person but in institutions and powerful groups. It seems evident to me that Trump represents a BLOW to a faction of those interests or else he would not be so thoroughly opposed by powerful people. They are not beyond playing on our fears, whether justified or not, to advance their aims. You won’t find me out there protesting on the 20th. I hope he safely and peacefully takes the presidency. No thanks to President Pence. (I believe that the VP pick was entirely strategic; throwing a bone to a certain segment of the Republican base.)

If not, then the Chinese communist banks with Russian gouvernment investments for bribing American cops and middle-level officials would bring the New Russian Order (though it lookse more like chaos from the inner perspective). Something of the above would work, I guess.

This is massively OT, but years ago there was a passionate African lady on youtube who always spoke forcefully against the tendency of Africans to adopt the spiritual outlook of other races. IIRC she was from the Congo and had both English and French videos. Eventually she put up a video talking about the origin story of her own people and part of it was that they came from elsewhere, as in, not Earth. It was actually pretty detailed, with art and music, but it’s a shame that the youtube channel is not around anymore. I remember some people asking in the comments if she really believed that and she said she believed her elders instead of “Adam and Eve”. IIRC, that was the first time I’d heard a non-Christian, non-Muslim, African offer an opinion on human origins.

Amidst the Muller probe the other thing I was considering is that, given the claim that Trump was wrong if he cooperated with the Russian government to obtain “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, it is extremely illogical to wish Hillary had won. In that case you would have had a president open to blackmail by a foreign power with that same “dirt”.
So if this whole scenario is to be believed Russia was holding all the cards anyway. Either they have a Trump administration indebted to them because of their providing assistance with damaging information on Clinton, or a Clinton administration potentially blackmailed by damaging information after it had won.
