I also really like 1970s music as well. I think the 1970s was the best decade for Rock music. Most of the bands I listen to such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Deep Purple etc were popular in the 1970s. Plus Rock music was at it’s peak of popularity, creativity and output at this time.
1970s R&B such as Chaka Khan, Heatwave, Stephanie Mills, Gladys Knight and the Pips and Stevie Wonder were also great acts. R&B was very soulful and retained it’s quality. Disco acts such as Bee Gees were also big during the 1970s particularly the latter part of the 1970s.
1970s Reggae scene was great with artists such as Peter Tosh and Bob Marley making strides in that genre.
