It is a shame to see this bare for the next four days, however I think you mean 2012.

Abagond seems like a competent individual, therefore I surmise he is at the bottom of the pecking order taking all kinds of flak for things that are not his fault.

I am French and black, and I must say I am horrified by the racism of this blog. You do not fight prejudice, you reverse them, and reversed prejudice is still a prejudice.
The only way to overcome racism is to assert the nonexistence of races as abstract construction and dated.
You say you try to fight the stigma that society has put in you, yet you validate their scale of values ββand their dialectical system.
We can not combat racism by resorting again to the concepts of “Black” and “White” which are tools of the system of domination. We must dare to completely rethink and not seeing neither white nor black, but citizens.
After reading your blog, I really feel that you are trying to theorize an anti-white racism even though you probably are not racist. Come take a ride in France, you will see that we can fight against racism without hatred or counter-racism.

I’m confused why there’s seven videos of TV logos, though..

Oh, but thanks for acknowledging what I just posted, too. 2 of the videos are from a documentary called “Race – The Power of an Allusion”, which can be found here: http://www.pbs.org/race/000_General/000_00-Home.htm
I saw a couple clips from it on youtube and wish it was posted there in full. it’s very interesting. it came out in the 90s but it’s still relevant

I’m not sure how I feel about the “Dear White People” thing, but it’s come up in the news lately. Apparently it’s going to be a movie. I don’t understand the premise. I’m curious to know what Abagond and other people who comment here think about it

@Dee
The trailer for “Dear White People” looks interesting to me. First off, the cinematography is beautiful. Second, I love social commentaries.
Lol I think it’s funny how some people are calling this film “racist” b4 they have even gotten a chance to view it.
