I have a videotape of music videos that I recorded from 2005 to 2009, mainly off of VH1 Soul. Before videotapes go the way of the Victrola, I want to write down the songs that are on it. You have seen some of these songs on this blog before – that is no accident.

Wow, that’s a lot of music videos!
I have a videotape or two of music videos that I recorded off of television from 1999 and 2001 respectively. I may have to dig it up one of these days.
I actually hate music videos. As a hardcore music connoisseur, I can understand the promotional neccessity of them but I feel that they often cheapen and ruin the aural beauty of the song.
I didn’t know you were into Rick Ross or Tabi Bonney! LOL. I actually know Tabi! That’s crazy. I’m glad that his music is getting national exposure.

Well, the Rick Ross song would probably get taped over in time, but I do love that Tabi Bonney song. I used to play it to death.
Do you Angel Lola Luv too? (Bonney hugs her in the video and she is also from DC.)

Wow, I think its great that Tabi has national fans. That’s great. He’s a cool dude; very creative and entrepreneurial. I actually talk to him frequently. He’s still independent and grinding, so he’ll be happy to know that his name is spreading.
I don’t know Angel unfortunately. She’s one of the gazillion Ethiopians from Northwest DC. She’s pretty but there’s many similar looking Ethiopians who put her to shame!
