Abagond is my pen name. I made it up, making sure there was nothing Google could find with that name. I am computer programmer in New York, blah blah blah.
I write 500 words a day on whatever I want. I do it to practise my writing. And because I love it. The posts that get the most hits and comments tend to be about race or beauty or both. Just so you know, I love thick black women and think that nearly all white Americans are racist. White readers and thin black women have a thing or two to say about that! I have been blogging since January 8th 2006.
I have two other blogs:
Feel free to email me at abagond at gmail.com.
The reason I put so many words in bold is to make skimming easy.
That picture at the top of my pages is from an old picture of Quiloa. It was once the greatest city in East Africa, but then the Portuguese turned it into a slave fort. Of course. I first heard about it in an old Brazilian song that I love:

I’m not sure how you select your topics and what you decide to post. I commented once on here regarding black brazilian models and happen to still check your blog once in a while. Thought I would mention a topic I feel should be out there and that’s the justice system in Texas. Many people know that Texas is number one in executions and of course many are African American (40%). The city of Houston (Harris County) alone, send more people to death row for execution than entire states except for the state of Texas and Virginia. George W Bush a supporter of death penalty has witnessed many Texans executed while he was governor of Texas. One famous case here was the execution of Gary Graham where doubts arised over shaky evidence and testimonies. Bush had the power to issue a stay or halt execution but said he’s satisfied and with the case didn’t want further investigation and gave the go ahead to continue with Gary’s execution. So once this guy became President I knew we were in trouble.

Due to faulty crime lab work many innocent people have been convicted and sent to prison and the Houston crime lab has now been shut down.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/metro/5487532.html
Also the district attorney here in Houston is currently being pressured to step down because many consider him racist and helps send a disproportionate number of blacks to prison and death row. This came about with his office being ordered to turn over emails and instead he decided to delete over 2,000 emails. But they still found racist emails, porn and affair with his secretary.

Here’s Gary Graham’s last statement as he was being executed.

This is the right place for comments on things I have not written about yet. I write about whatever I want. I am always open to suggestions.
Clearly something has gone very wrong in Houston…

I found this site while browsing google for info on Judaism. Since then I decided to check out almost everything you wrote under the “black” subject.
I must admit, being a white man from Scotland that I also love thick black women. I also like chubby women. I’ve always believed black people to be equal to white people. Even in Scotland today there are very little black people. I hear people use the N word a lot. Thankfully more black people are coming to Scotland. I can’t wait till I’m old and grey and there are black youths speaking in a broad Scottish accent.
Its also true that most people can number the amount of black people they have met in their lives. The first black person I met was my good friend Omar. My earliest memory was of me waving goodbye to him and his mother after nursery(pre-school) one day.
My brother broke his virginity to a black girl and because of my desire to “pleasure” a black woman he often brags about it.
So Abagond, thank you very much for informing me of such things as the mammy, blackfaces, Martin Luther Kings “I have a dream” speech.
Oh and one last thing. Its ironic that most whites like to go sunbathing or to a tanning salon so as to darken their skin!! Black people have the best tan because God made it so. The pyramids and Ancient Egypt were not ruled by middle eastern looking men and women. They were black royalty!!! Look at Nefertiti. God bless you Abagond. And I shall pray again and again that one day judging people by the color of their skin will be as ludicrous as judging someone by their shoe size.

I grew up in the 50/60’s-my family homes were bigoted and the foul words used to describe black men and women disturbed me as soon as I learned what they meant.
My family lived primarily in Wash.,DC-with my other grandparents living in PA.,in Dutch Amish country.
Although the bigotry in those two seperate homes was different in the choices of words-it was equal in ignorence, and the venomous intent of hatred.
I also grew up seeing the hatred from other places-and all of them were in the South of the USA. Watching those brave people marching across the bridge-and watching the hatred that met them.
I was in high school when Martin Luther King was assasinated-only 7 or 8 miles from the city limits of Wash.DC.,and could see the flames from the riots from our back yard
all of it so hard to understand-because we had been brought up-raised in this ignorance, and instinct told our spirit this was wrong.
Convinced? Convinced by the every war that has had black soldiers next to white that also recieved no recognition-seeing the daily photos of the dead from Viet Nam proved it was so-but yet,on the televisions were the scences of Selma and Montgomery and the faces of men like Govenors Lester Maddox and George Wallace….it sure taught me the meaning of ‘two faced’! Living in a country that lauds ‘freedom-freedom’ and yet can restrict it and steal it so ‘freely’.
I am fortunant that God brought me to the South-right in 1970. Here I learned so much goodness and truth-I learned about people the better way-from being around the love and compassion and humbleness, never did I hear the words my elders used so frequently.
I learned this love from old Southern Black families.
I was stunned about two years ago when I was sent to make report about a crime I experienced 30 plus years ago. The caretaker listening to my story took his ignorence and made it a truth-a truth only for him,as he supposed the men who attacked me were black men-he seemed bothered that he was not correct. I chose to seperate my self from this person-afraid of what I had heard and seen in a office of someone who is supposed to be a professional.
The unfortunant thing-society is continually taught these things-our President told all of the world we were fighting the “axis of evil”,so now we fear those who operate the convienience stores-bigotry comes from and effects in myriad ways-and sadly we are taught this still.

Hello Abagond. I was searching for the state where the Nigerian actress, Ini Edo, was born and came across this website. It’s fabulous! I have it bookmarked so that I will be able to come back time and time again! Have a great day:)

“That picture at the top of my pages is from an old picture of Quiloa. It was once the greatest city in East Africa, but then the Portuguese turned it into a slave fort. Of course. I first heard about it in an old Brazilian song that I love”
This is some of the biggest bs I have ever heard in a long time. Kilwa was built by Arabs not negro people in the firt place, and slavery had been in Kilwa a long while before the Portuguese
From wikipedia:
“In the 9th century it was sold to a trader Ali bin Al-Hasan and over the following centuries it grew to be a major city and trading centre along that coast, and inland as far as Zimbabwe. Trade was mainly in gold and iron from Zimbabwe, ivory and slaves from Tanzania, and textiles, jewellery, porcelain, and spices from Asia.”
The Arabs brought slavery to Kilwa, not Portuguese.

Hi,
Why are you trying to conceal your identity so badly? Is it because you work with alot of white people, and you don’t want them to know how racist you truly are when you walk by them in the hall and pretend to be normal?
By the way, I am neither white or black, I just ran across this page looking for a celebrity.

I think Your website is great and I commend You for bringing the True History of People of Color to America..However I don’t quite agree with all You say…There are not 4 Races of Mankind but 5..I’m not sure if You purposely Forgot or That You don’t know that Mulatto People are neither Black nor White so that makes them Separate Race…
If You can identify Hispanics as a Separate Race surely Mulatto’s are a Seperate Race…The Mulatto People are the oldest Minority to inhabit the New World.Well documented History Places them with Columbus and the Conquistadors and with the Spanish Conquerors..Our Ancestors can Place their Ancestry back to the Moors who Ruled Spain for over 700 years..Surely they deserve their place here in the Americas..
Mulatto’s can be found in almost every Country in the Western Hemisphere..In fact They number over 50 million in Brazil alone and are mixed with every Race and Culture in the Americas…So lets give credit where credit is due…Our Creole Website frenchcreoles.com Has been fighting against this type of Cultural Genocide for almost 10 years ..We mixed Race Mulatto’s and Creoles were the First here so lets at least be appreciated for Our Contributions
Mon 13 Apr 2009 at 04:03:15
I love your website, frenchcreoles.com. Everyone should visit it!
I talk about race mainly terms of what goes on in America. Mulatto used to be seen as something separate there, especially in New Orleans before the civil war, but not any more. It is the One Drop Rule.
I do not see Hispanics as a race:

SO, I am doing a research paper on Shaft and race and I came across this page and I must say, I never laughed so hard in my life! Oh calm down don’t get offended. I just find it hard to believe that racism still exist to the extent that some of your topics seem to make it. Truth be told, I only read one article so I probably shouldn’t comment BUTTTTT, from my perspective, a 20yr African female living in Florida, race is not something I am dealing with everyday…. Just to give you a heads up on how I think times are changing.

Some people love to play victim and martyr their whole lives and get off on the whole oppression scenario. They need to make their silly comments and suck approval from others. Some people just live their lives.
Sat 25 Apr 2009 at 15:42:24
Kim: that is good to hear. I hope you are right. But I have had friends who did not beleive what I was saying – they would look at me like I was talking about the moon – but once they left school and had to live on their own, they understood all too well.
Mon 27 Apr 2009 at 05:12:54
Don’t worry about the haters and uninformed Abagond; they’re just mad that you’re not the “happy” darky waiting for massa to throw you some crumbs…Don’t they realize that we are all just a reflection of America as it is today, not the fairy tale America they wish it to be?

Oh my word…I’ve been intermittently reading your blog for a couple of months. I guess I never read any gender specific posts. Consequently, as an inherently visual processor, I always assumed you were a black woman….

this is just the usual banal drop in of a “keep up the good work!” not forgetting the “smashing website me guy!”
but i dare say your persistence in writing is inspiring!
