I have my music collection organized into five categories Rap,Rock,RnB,Disco And Newwave
These three are in my Disco category numbers 47,73 and 111 out of 197 songs in this category of my music collection
played exclusively in winamp THE media player for music.
When I discovered winamp it was one of the main reasons to give up a record player /stereo system, cassette player and cd player.
With what other device can you play, pause, goto any ponit in the song, have it automatically choose any song in your playlist at random or sequentially etc.
And don’t get me started on the fact that I’m got (for virtually free) every song I wanted from my youth and beyond.
Man, though this is the year I was born, I still love music from this time and earlier. It reminds of when I go to a family friend’s house who had BET in the late 80s/early 90s. Or watching in living color, or a different world, lol. At the time, it made me feel like black was the thing to be. Some have suggested that the antidote to racism is to eliminate race from the self-assessment of human worth. Hearing distinctly black music like this make WANT TO BE BLACK….oh wait, I am black, play on!!!!
