This reminds me of the time scientist lied and created the”Piltdown man” hoax. I guess it’s safe to say not to trust everything you hear or read about without facts/further research.

I think the government provided interpreters should have been the biggest hint concerning the falseness of the alleged tribe. Professional linguist probably would have found strong parallels btwn the fradulent Tasaday language and the language(s) of the Philippines.

The tribal lands are rich in mahogany, copper, silver and gold. A French reporter found an open-pit copper mine there. It was owned by Elizalde.
