Remarks:
This went to #11 on the American R&B charts in 2011. Somehow this seems like a song from the early 1970s.
Lyrics:
[Cee-Lo:]
What! that real, that deep, that burning, that amazing unconditional,
inseperable love.
That feel like forever, that always emotional but still exceptional love.
Can’t nobody tell me nothin, it is what it is.
and any mistake you make, i, i just may forgive.
Right now, Right now, at this very moment i still love her like I
loved her then.
I love her in and out and up and down and round and round and
over and over again.
So rare they swear that you just don’t exist.
And it’s only one person I can think of that makes me feel like this.
I’m a fool,
Such a fool,
For You!
[Melanie:]
So sweet, so deep, so real, ooo-wee! God Damn, that’s some powerful stuff.
How you do it,do do it, keep me coming, baby I can’t seem to get enough.
What you do, what you say, makes me wanna l-l-love you.
Baby, I dont even have a choice!
And if i did, it still be you, cause you the man, among these other
boys!
Sweet suga, I surrender, white flag, ohh I wont even put up a fight!
Cause there ain’t a damn thing wrong about this kind of loving,
when it feels so right.
Gonna, write a letter, tell it to my momma and she gone tell the world
that I love you.
Some people probably say i’m crazy but I dont mind being a fool
for you.
I’m a fool! (Mel: I’m a fool) Such a fool,
(Mel: Such a fool, such a fool, such a fool)
For you (Mel: for you).
[Breakdown:]
I say YEAHHHHHH! YEAHHHHH!
YEAHH! (Mel: YEAHH!)
(Mel: I’m a fool baby!)
ooooo chill!
(Mel: ooooooooooooooo!)
Ima fool! (Mel: I’m a fool!) Sucha fool!
(Mel: Like a fool!) I’m a fool! (Mel: ayeeee ayeee!)
ooo baby! AHohhhh! (Mel: AHohhhh!)
ayee lawd! baby!
(i’m a fool! i’m a fool! i’m a fool! i’m a fool! i’m a fool! i’m a fool!)
For you momma! (Mel: For you daddy!)
Please baby beggin ahhh have mercy on me! (Mel: Pleaseeeee!)
Have mercy! Have a little mercy on me! ooo wee!
(Mel: Show a little mercy baby! uhhh!)
(Mel: AHHHHHHHOH! ooooyeahhh!) oooyeahhh!
For you (Mel: i’m a fool! I’m a fool! i’m a fool!)

This song would sound better on a record or 8 track! Good pick, Abagond!
This song is banging, I like the version with only his voice better. Can’t believe there’s only one comment for this song.
Abagond, it does sound like it’s from the early 1970. Actually, quite a few of his songs sound kinda old fashion, like this one.
This is another of my favourites from him.
I like the video for “Bodies” and I agree with you Bulanik, their compositions are romantic with great story telling in song. It is a very different kind of black music and it does not receive the same hype as the others and is largely ignored.
