This went to #69 on the American R&B charts in 2008. It is my favourite Deborah Cox song. It reminds me of Curtis Mayfield’s “The Makings of You” (1970).

While I’m not much of an R&B fan, she did have some vocals. You just don’t see that type of quality in the mainstream these days…:/

I love her! “Stranger in My House” and “Officially Missing You” are my favorites. I can remember when I heard her for the first time singing “You Put a Move on My Heart”; stopped me dead in my tracks and made me listen. The only other person I remember making me stop dead in my tracks the first time hearing them was Christina Aguilera. I remember thinking Whitney Houston was an angel. Music is so powerful.
