How to become a white racist, at least in America:
The main things to know:
- White is right! If most white people believe or say or do something, then it must be right!
- Different is bad.Whites are the best people in the world. Everyone knows it and everyone wants to be like them! Therefore those who fall short must have something wrong with them. Especially if it is in how their face looks. For example:
- Blacks: Just look at them! No matter what they do, they will always be screwed up. Somehow. You can just tell.
- East Asians: There is something not quite right about them either. You can never tell what they are thinking. They seem kind of narrow or something.
- America is good and just. The police uphold law and order and protect all citizens equally regardless of race. White employers consider education and experience, not race. White teachers, doctors, judges, real estate agents, bank loan officers, newspaper editors, Hollywood producers, landlords and white people in general never let race affect their judgement or their point of view. Racism is dead! Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks killed it. The election of Obama by white people proves it! Therefore:
- Blacks and Latinos have only themselves to blame. It has nothing to do with white people (see above).
- Stereotypes have some truth to them. That is why people believe them.
- Television is a mirror of reality. Especially the news. And black comedians.
Things to do:
- Never be the only white person. Only go where most people are white – or at least where there are enough white people To Keep You Safe.
- Live in white suburbia. The more sheltered and white your life, the better! If your neighbourhood becomes more than 10% black, move. For your own safety!
- Only read books by white people. Or better yet, do not read anything at all beyond the Approved Reading List: newspapers, magazines, best-sellers, love stories, war histories, anything for work or school, etc. If someone screws up their face and says, “Why are you reading that!!?“, it was not on the Approved List. Stop reading it immediately. You have been warned.
- Watch plenty of American television. The more the better! Just lay back and feel the racism! Mmmm!
- Do not question anything that most white people believe. They must be right! So there is no need to look into things for yourself and come to your own conclusions. Why waste your time? If someone questions what you believe, just say, “Google it!”
- Learn as little black, Asian, Latin American and African history as possible. Just whatever they force you to learn in high school. I mean, why should anyone care about that stuff? It is not like it is important or something.
- Never try to see anything from a black person’s point of view. What do they know?
- If someone says you are racist, get angry! Defend yourself! How can you be racist? You do not hate black people!

Yeah, I’d have to say this post is about right. I’d amend the very last point, the one related to becoming defensive when accused of bigotry to state more explicitly that to be like most white racists today, one must also force most of the points in the post into one’s unconscious, from where they will control your actions while leaving you free to consider yourself innocent of the nation’s history of racism, from the moment Europeans began encroaching the American continents to the present day.
The funny thing about this post is “how to become a racist” is probably the one thing most whites don’t need a tutorial for.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this post. The reasoning/thoughts behind white racism and ignorance is ridiculous to the point of hilarity. On the other hand these thought processes are so accurate that it’s scary. Quite horrifying if you ask me.
Which is why every time a Black or East Asian person does something to their appearance (straighten or colour hair, for example) so many White people believe they’re ‘trying to look White’. Don’t they ever consider the fact that if they really wanted to look White so badly they would do a good enough job that they didn’t look like a Black/East Asian person trying to look White?
Or, better yet, they can skim through one book by a person who is not White, say that all books by people of that race are the same and declare themselves an expert on the culture of ‘those people’.
Also, if a White person does not see how something is racist, it automatically a fact that it is not racist at all. So everyone can join in accusing whoever of being ‘oversensitive’ for saying something was racist.

Good points! It’s also good for white people who are actually ok with talking for real about racism to know that these are the things we’re/they’re up against when talking race with other white people – widespread, sweeping fabletelling. I’ve always been amazed at how some people are able to judge East Asians just based on their appearance. Whatever happened to MLK’s dream that we could all be judged by the content of our character? Hey Agabond, it would be nice if you could share and highlight some positive aspects of race relations (even though i dislike the term in its self, but for lack of a better term) we are one race after all. but anyway, is it not all right to be proud in who you are, irrespective of where you come from or how you look?
I can not help but to feel your posts whilst stemming from an impetus to highlight and challenge some very important issues has began to descend at times into an anti campaign, a generalised brush that paints any racial type that now comes into you veiw? What we percieve as race is a by product by environment and culture, through which history an insular thinking has created our many dilemmas.
Culture appears like a beautiful fish, in its context, its water, it appears beautiful, take it out of the stream it loses its shine, remove its scales you deny its strength, put it on a plate and its ready to eat…….. though, don’t dare eat the bones, it will hurt you……… our respective cultures have bones, within its environments that are appealing, within our own communities they create strength, but when you get down to it, unlike the fish, no one is prepared to say what the bones of thier own culture and to disgard it?
Being as famous as MJ, having your transformation followed and being accused of trying to look White v.s. average stranger on the street straightening/colouring their hair and being accused of trying to look White… Those are two quite different things.
My point was that it is ridiculous to accuse the latter group of ‘trying to look White’ when everyone with a pair of functioning eyes can see they are obviously not White-looking enough to be mistaken for a White person. If they really had that desire and the means, I’m sure they would do a much better job of it than simply dying or straightening their hair.

Where I’m from, it’s common for Filipinos to invite non-Filipinos to parties and socials. If you were invited, it’s because we think you would enjoy it and have fun. A couple of times, I’d go to my relatives’ parties, and there would be black and white people and various Asian ethnicities there. I have noticed the white people would hang around each other while black people were mingling with everyone. Once I remembered one of my cousins invited this white girl, and off the bat, I heard her remark, “Wow, so many Asian people here.” What did she expect? After all, she WAS invited to a Filipino party.

I think hair straightening definitely originated as an attempt to fit in more with white people. I don’t think that black women (and some men still) who do this today are making a conscious effort to look white, but it’s tough to argue that the practice itself is something that black people would be doing anyway if white people didn’t exist.

I’ve noticed that a lot of the people I meet who are of SEasian ancestry tend to have very typically Western names whereas south asians tend to pick a name that reflects the baby’s culture and heritage? Do you have any particular opinion about why this occurs? Also am i totally wrong about the prevelance of western names for SE asian people? I know a few chinese students and they have traditional names but they are actually from China whereas the Chinese students born here tend to have Western names.

Funny, I looked in a history book and I din’t see the part where China stops the slave trade, frees the slaves and decolonized Africa. If whites are so eternally wicked I have a question: why aren’t blacks still enslaved to this day. It’s not like they freed themselves by military force. Nothing stopped whites from keeping blacks in slavery to this day. And don’t say human rights because they weren’t given on stone tablets by God but were completely a honky creation.

I’ve been visiting and posting on blogs for two years now, and I have fought almost every ‘fight’ as though my life depended on it: it doesn’t. So I’m not really up for teaching, telling or instructing you what is or isn’t so.
But I will say this: It aint “tough to argue with history” if you deny, or are ignorant of, the actual facts of history. the facts are simple: Africans fought to decolonise Africa; slaves made slavery untenable; and the Civil Rights Movement (among other groups) fought peacefully to civilise America.
These are historical facts NOT fictions so if you are unable to accept them either read up on them or stop posing as a representative of my peoples’ saviour. If you have it within you, maybe you’ll be kind enough to do both.

Black slaves in Haiti and Jamaica fought for and successfully won their freedom. That is the reason why Haiti is in the condition it is in today. Those Blacks there had the audacity not wait on the benevolence of Whites to give them their g-d given freedom!
The Whites in the slaveholding states in the US fought like HELL to keep Blacks enslaved, killing millions of their fellow White countrymen even to keep that right! Blacks in the US still had to fight to be granted full citizenship rights for decades after emancipation. Whites didn’t just decide one day to give them those rights. I think it depends on the SEAsians you’re referring to. Since I’m Filipino, I can only give you my thoughts regarding Filipinos. Many Filipinos tend to have Western names due to the Philippines being colonized by Spain and the U.S. at one point. Mind you, the names I’ve heard have been Anglo/American names among the younger generation of Filipinos. The older Filipinos tend to have Spanish names. There have been some Filipinos who wanted to get in touch with their roots. For example, a friend of mine recently gave birth and she really disliked the current names most Filipino parents gave their children. She named her daughter Malaya which means free. As for me, I have a very ethnic sounding name. It’s neither Spanish nor American.
Hmm. Again, I can only speak of my experience, but I do have some Laotian friends with Western names. It’s not uncommon for many Asians (East and SE) to bear Western names because they were born in the West. I hope I have answered your questions.

Yes it did, moulah prevented whites from keeping blacks enslaved. You see it’s cheaper to pay subsistence wages, than to clothe, house and feed people. With the onset of the industrial revolution, this became doubly so. Even after the Civil War, the former slaveholders resorted to sharecropping. Quite a nice scam they had going there!

Why would they? They were in China, not the States. Besides with such upheavals as the Taiping Rebellion, they wouldn’t have had time nor resources to intercede on behalf of the slaves. You see, when you are in a constant state of upheaval you don’t have time for interceding on others’ behalf. So in effect, what does China have to do with freeing the slaves? Nothing!

alot of what I said is a stretch, but that was my contrary point because alot of what you say is a stretch when you try to lump all of us white people into one lump sum of americans as you seem to do alot. I haven’t been on alot, but from some of the posts you make you are way off point on.
White solidarity for people under 40 really doesn’t exist anymore and it is a shame because in out attempt for complete political correctness we have become somewhat boring in my opinion.
Not saying we shouldn’t learn from the past, but we shouldn’t go out of our way to kiss butt, either. So whats all this “we” stuff then? Sounds to me like you are taking stereotypes against WP quite personally.
I imagine that if you think about it, you will notice that these stereotypes really have no effect on you at face value. You are just whining that “it’s not fair, BLACK people get to use stereotypes and I DON”T WAAAA”

These stereotypes don’t effect you because when it comes to everyday life, what POC think about WP doesn’t have an effect on us (generally speaking) because we hold the power. I agree that media does play a role in putting white people on a pedestal but let’s not give the media all the credit other people of color put white people on a pedestal too. I’ve been exposed to white media and I still love myself and just by looking at my parents I know the stereotypes are far from true. Some black media moguls perpetuate these same hurtful stereotypes about blacks.

You are wrong Sadi first of all not all whites were evil scumbags. Some of them helped us gain our civil rights. Remember the underground railroad some white abolitionists helped bring it to fruition.
Yes, we had to fight for our rights but we didn’t do it alone. I don’t believe power plays a role in racism at all in the 21st century at least. I admit the media influences everybody’s perceptions of reality but if people didn’t live in homogenous areas they are without excuse.
I don’t like power because my goal is to take care of my family and myself and maybe start a profound legacy. I have no desire to claim dominion over others.
The power I would encourage everyone to seek is economic empires and nothing more. I have no interest in forcing people to view me as above them or liking me.

@ Mei Ly– God will eventually destroy white people and their socieities. Their birthrates are falling/stagnant and in europe and america whites are losing ground as far as population goes. Even without factoring in impending violence against whites (it’s coming, no doubt about it), the white “race” (a mutant group of people with serious genetic defects) is dying out worldwide.
I’m enjoying the show. Violence will be used once their numbers are low enough, there are and always will be people like me to make sure of it
God also allowed the Babylonians and Chaldeans to dominate and destroy the Israelites and Judeans although the Israelites and Judeans were his chosen people. Even the prophets at the time questioned why God would “bless” the evil ones and allow them to prosper, thrive and dominate over the chosen ones. Doesn’t mean that God loved the Babylonians. They were his enemies as they were enemies of his people. He used them to teach his people a lesson and then promised to destroy the Babylonians once his people returned to him again (in a moral sense).
